The overall experience was excellent. He was extremely professional, courteous and punctual. The overall job took a day more than the initial estimate, but Jeff informed us at the end of the first day itself about the revised estimate. The paint job itself was excellent and very clean. They also cleaned up after themselves. Would highly recommend them and use them again.

The gentleman who gave me an estimate, Jeff, was really nice and would have done a good job. He recommended a primer of flexible undercoat under the paint on the wall of a built-in fireplace and L-shaped wall so the paint would last longer. However, I didn't go with them primarily because another company could get me in sooner. This company had work scheduled two to three weeks out.

They were not as thorough as the contractor that I went with. They didn?t offer to do some things that the other contractor offered like wood trim. Newcoat Painting was cheaper than the company that I chose, but I wasn?t impressed by them.

Throughout the entire process, Jeff Ackers was the consummate professional. He followed through on all the commitments he made, was prompt, and the work itself was flawless. And the price was very reasonable. Jeff was also quite willing to consult on color and offered valuable advice. The work took about a week and at the end of each day, Jeff and his associate Vic made sure everything was as clean and as neat as possible. I was so pleased with the work, I decdied to have Newcoat paint my upstairs as well. If you have any painting needs, I can say unequivocally that you will not be disappointed if you have Newcoat do the work.

Jeff met me at my client's home to discuss the paint plan that I had specified. He was prompt, helpful and detail oriented. His bid was very reasonable and half what another painter had bid. He and his partner Victor did all the prep and painting and finished right on schedule. The client requested that the fireplace color be changed and he willingly repainted it two times at no extra charge. I would be happy to work with him again on future projects.

This was our second excellent experience with Newcoat Painting. The work was perfect. I was concerned that he would not consider such a small job, but he drove over for an estimate within a day or so and scheduled our job on a Sunday because he was in the middle of another larger project. I couldn't have asked for a nicer response or better work.

This is the second time we've used Jeff for interior painting and we're pleased with his price and the quality of work. He works very quickly and is very accomodating to our scheduling needs. In addition, he never hesitates to help if there is furniture to move or items or work around. The job went quickly and there were no punch list items or follow up necessary.

Bid was given promptly after my call, and once I decided to hire NewCoat, they were open and honest about the time frame to do the job, which they kept me informed up to the day they arrived. They were quick, left no mess daily, and the job was done well. We left a number of tape spots to indicate areas we thought needed touch up on the final evening as a punch list, and Jeff took care of all them without any hassle. We were pleased with the work and Jeff's treatment of us as customers.

He was on time, very meticulous in covering all my computer equipment, even did extras as patch holes and drywall repair and still came in on the exact budget he quoted me originally. He is a trustworthy professional--gave him a key while I was at work to complete the job. He is a master at the "special effects" painting--my office looks amazing. I will call him for all my painting needs in the future. 5 star all the way.

Price was not an issue. Newcoat stuck to the estimate. The re-texturing was not smooth, and drywall lines from previous repairs are still obvious. The reason we had the ceiling re-textured and painted was to eliminate the repair lines, and they still show. Newcoat says, "Well, if you didn't want the lines to show, I would have to put all new drywall on the ceiling". Why didn't the contractor tell me that BEFORE he did the repair? And before he charged me $1100 for a job that looks like my husband did it himself?

We have a 4100 sq foot home. They also painted the fence and the garage as well. They did an excellent job in every way. He did a great job and is very honest and knowledgeable. We wish we would have used him to paint the interior of our home as well.

I got three estimates from companies I found on this list. All three returned my calls promptly and came out for estimates quickly. I chose Newcoat because the bid was most reasonable and I was dealing with who was going to be performing the job. Jeff Akers is the owner of Newcoat and he has one employee, Victor. They work as a team in a friendly and professional manner. Jeff, is one of those people who have a natural ability to make you feel at ease and gives extremely insightful and honest advice. He's open to ideas, but doesn't hesitate to give an opinion on how something could be improved. His insight and experience defined where paint lines would end or begin. We have an open floor plan with 12 foot ceilings and this helped our home particularly so that room colors stayed within their "area" and not abruptly change color when your eye wants go wandering. I feel confident the competitors would not have this type of insight. I feel it would just be another job to them...burn and churn. However, Jeff and Victor do a fantastic job from taping, covering work areas to painting and cleaning up. Jeff is one of those people who actually critique their own work. I felt he wanted everything to look and be perfect and if he didn't like something, he improved it. He used various techniques for our particular job overall. He used the spray painter for the first coat, back rolled the second and did the same for the third coat if the wall needed it. He used faux finishing techniques I have no clue what to call. He used a trowel to apply Venetian plaster, let dry and then burnished quite labor intensively to achieve that wonderful shiny look that Venetian plaster has. After we had the foyer light installed, the whole look was complete and I have to say it is quite beautiful. Overall, this is one of my best contractor experiences ever. It is really refreshing, especially these days when someone takes PRIDE in their work and that is what you will get from Jeff and Victor if you decide to hire them.

Working with Mr. Akers was a pleasure from start to finish. He got back to me the day I contacted him, came out for an estimate within 3 days, and arrived exactly when he said he would for the first workday. He masked all areas meticulously and did a flawless paint job. Everything he removed, he replaced exactly as it was. He left the house spotless. Although he had allowed 3 days for the job, he and his assistant finished in a day and a half. This was the best experience I've ever had with maintenance or repair at my house.

A very good experience. I initially sent an email which and Jeff called the same day. Set up an appointment for an estimate the next day and he arrived on time (I was five minutes late). We walked, talked and agreed to do the job. Setup a date/time and he and his helped arrived on time and completed the job in two half days...at each step he would call ahead and let me know what was going on. The quality of the work is great.

I called Jeff and called me back the same day. He came the next day to see the areas we needed painted and got me a quote the next day. Jeff scheduled us in for a time that was convenient for us. He did a great job and was very neat. We look forward to having paint other areas of out house. e is very creative and gives several options for each area.

Because we were leaving town soon, Jeff Akers, the owner, squeezed the work in. He completed the work on time, at the price quoted and did an excellent job. ( Please note: As we were unable to get any other company to respond for such a small job, we were unable to compare price.) However, he did a great job and we wouldn't hesitate to use Newcoat again. In fact, we have recommended them to our HOA for exterior work and to HOA President for work on his condo. Jeff and his assistant were neat, clean and efficient; not to mention great painters.

Jeff called me back almost immediately after I left a message for an estimate and was there the next morning on his way to another job. The work was done quickly and professionally, and both Jeff and Victor were very easy to be around. They got along well, and worked and conversed well together, which makes for a comfortable environment to be in. I highly recommend Newcoat Painting.

THE EXPERIENCE OF WORKING WITH JEFF AKERS (THE OWNER) OF NEWCOAT WAS ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT. I RECOMMEND THIS YOUNG (40'S) BEAR OF A MAN TO ALL. HE DOES FINE WORK, ARTISTIC AND BASIC WORK. OUR JOB WAS BASIC PAINTING OF WALL, WOODWORK AND PREVIOUSLY STAINED CUPBOARDS & DOORS. HE STARTED ON TIME, FINISHED ON TIME, WAS RESPONSIVE TO ALL INQUIRIES AND DID A BEAUTIFUL JOB.
