Jeff and Victor arrived on time and finished on time. They were professional in their work and their behavior. They were meticulous in preparing the area to avoid any paint mishaps and they were equally meticulous with their work. They did a very professional job. In fact, after they had packed up, they noticed a spot on the vaulted ceiling and brought their tall ladder back in to touch up that one spot. We were very pleased and will both use them again and refer others to them. Thanks Jeff and Victor.

quality work, great clean up, no mess

Jeff was very responsive, answered all of my questions clearly as I presented them. He was very professional. I have since hired him to do additional painting.

Jeff came to our house two times for the interior estimate which came in below our contractor. Jeff did a visual of all areas to be painted. We accepted his estimate and hired him to do the job. Additionally, we had him estimate the exterior. We accepted his estimate and hired him to do the exterior painting job after he did another visual of the house. Jeff showed up to start painting the house on 6.26.14. I cancelled the installation of our solar installation based on Jeff's request to not use generators. I understood this completely. After Jeff arrived to paint the house he began touring the house finding reasons why he couldn't paint the house. There were two buckets of water in one bathroom which the tiler had been using. I told him I'd put them in the garage or bathtub. He indicated it was too far to reach over a couch to paint. I suggested a roller. He then said, "you don't understand how professional painters paint." And...what I should do is, "hire someone from Home Depot to do the job"...because I didn't/couldn't understand how he operated. We had a renter staying in a bedroom who is well aware of how painters need things off the walls...furniture moved and covered. ETC. Jeff said he just couldn't work around the renter. I said I thought maybe he didn't want to paint the house. Jeff said "that would be best". And...he left the house. Since then, I've had another Angie's List painter come in. They had no problem painting around two buckets of water...around a couch...and...they even covered all the items (which our renter moved away from wall) in a bedroom. Our home is almost empty as it is being remodeled. Our contractor and our new painter felt it was in prime condition to paint. Not much to move and very little to go around. I cannot recommend Jeff. He was straight out rude and unprofessional. He caused the delay of our house being painted.

I am already planning on using him again.

Did an Angie's List deal for a painter for a day. Maybe my expectations were a little high (I didn't think so), but I thought that he should be able to get slightly more done in one day (2 small rooms). It seems we got 85% of the job done, but it was like "that's it, that's the day". The pace of work was a little more leisurely than I think a full-priced fee would have justified, and don't think an Angie's List deal should reflect "a slower pace of work".

All I can say about Jeff is WOW! He responded immediately and always answered emails promptly. We set up a time for him to paint my house and he arrived 10 minutes early. He worked for several hours alone because his assistant was on another job and finished the entire bedroom by the end of day 1. He came back the next morning EXACTLY on time. His assistant Victor was with him. While Victor painted the bathroom Jeff started on the accent wall. He is no less than an artist. I watched him as he painted the accent wall and it was amazing. On top of his being a very talented faux painter, he's an incredibly nice guy. I would highly recommend Jeff and Newcoat Painting for any regular interior or especially faux painting job that you have. I plan on having him back when I have another project to do.

It was great! I phoned Jeff and he was able to fit me in the following day. He arrived exactly on time with his son and did a wonderful job. They finished all the painting very fast and left no mess. My master bath looks great. From now on I will be phoning him any time I need some painting done!

From first phone call to estimate, to the guys showing up on time, painting everything they said they would, and cleaning up afterwards, everything went very well. I'm picky about paint jobs, and I was very satisfied. They did a great job keeping the wall paint from bleeding into the molding.

Jeff and his team did a fabulous job! The new paint looks great and we are very satisfied! Jeff was very reliable and showed up on time every morning promptly at 8:30 a.m. ready to begin working. Jeff and his team went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with the results. Our expectations were exceeded and we couldn't be happier that we picked Jeff to do the job for us!

I purchased a Big Deal off of Angie's List for NewCoat Painting Co to come out and perform exterior painting on my home. I called the company prior to Angie's List giving them my information (my home address, which is different than the information I have on Angie's List). NewCoat Painting Co also had my cell phone number to call and reach me. I took a full day off of work the day we had planned for this company to come out. Well with purchasing the Big Deal through Angie's List, they have given this service provider the information that they had on file. Even after speaking to NewCoat Painting Co on the phone and giving them my home address, it seems as though they relied on the information from Angie's List, instead of writing down the address to what we had spoken about. NewCo Painting Co showed up to my work address, when I specifically told them this service will be done at my home address. They came to the wrong place, and he did not apologize, and he made it seem like I had done something wrong in the process. I was upset, because NewCo Painting Co did not seem very creative in how they were to fix this issues, and now they will not be able to make it out for a couple of weeks due to other jobs. I was not pleased with the customer service regarding this issue.

The experience was good. They were on time and I got the job done on time. They were clean. They were easy to work with. I found them on Angie’s List and they gave me a discount.

It all went well. He started when he said he would and finished on the 3rd day. He thought it would only take 2 days, but day 1 was short, so he needed the 3rd day.

Jeff and his team did a great job for us and did so on very short notice. Professional, fairly priced and clean. I am very particular and found the job done very well. Would highly recommend Jeff for any type of service he and his team offer.

I called them on a Wednesday morning, and they were able to make it out Friday morning to do the work. They showed up early and were very professional. The work that was done was excellent. I had tried to paint my girls rooms myself and my painting left something to be desired, they fixed all my mistakes in a matter of hours and now my girls rooms look amazing.

NewCoat did an excellent job painting several interior rooms of my house, including a kitchen and a stairway with high ceilings. Jeff was very pleasant to work with, and so prompt that I still can't believe the job is done already! I figured it'd take much longer, but these guys work professionally and at a great speed. The end result was very satisfactory, and the pricing was fair. I would highly recommend this company, and would definitely use them again in the future.

The job went well. The painters were prompt, hard working and completed the job within the scheduled estimate. The rooms were difficult to paint but they used the right tools and did a great job. I would not hesitate to call them again!

Workers arrived on time, were professional and friendly. My dog didn't even bark at them. They worked until they were done, and paid attention to all the little details posed by an old house. Good experience on all counts.

Jeff Akers responded to my email in a timely manner and was prompt for his appointment. His bid was competitive with the other bids I received. I needed to get the job done quickly and Jeff was able to juggle his schedule so that he could start within a week. I don't live in Scottsdale so I haven't inspected the finished work myself, but the property management company says they did a great job. I would definitely hire NewCoat Painting again.

Jeff came out and emailed me a quote by the next morning. He seemed very honest and just a nice guy. When they started they came out and spray washed the house and fence, and after drying patched the cracks in the stucco. The next day they painted the garage and then started on the house and fence. It took them 4 days for the house and fence and one day to paint the garage. He was very professional and did an excellent job and would call them first if I need any more painting. My neighbor had NewCoat paint her house and loves it and I have another neighbor that wants his number because by house looks so good!

Jeff and company came out and spray washed, then after drying they got it ready to paint and painted the first coat, let it dry and painted the second coat. Started Monday and finished on FrIday. Took an extra day for the garage. They did an excellent job, were very professional, saved me a lot of money compared to my next lowest bid and have highly recommended them to my friends. Jeff is a good guy and stands by his work. I don't even have to have them come back for touch up.

I chose Jeff, the owner of Newcoat Painting, over 2 other quotes because he was involved with the entire painting procedure from start to finish. That's right, he actually did the painting himself with Victor. Very good communication throughout the entire process, either by phone, or face to face. By the way, his quote was slightly less than the others which were only there to quote the job, not actually doing the work themselves. Even though my other quotes were reputable companies, in my experiences, sometimes you may not get what was originally discussed when another person is involved. Not the case with Jeff and Victor. Everything was taped off and cleaned up daily. Work was started and finished on time. Professionally done and very friendly. I am a very particular person and apparently when it comes to painting Jeff is also. Jeff is very meticulous and takes great pride in his work along with Victor. Previously I have had bad experiences with contractors, but this was the best that I could have hoped for. Jeff doesn't need to be managed, just show him how you want it and what you want, he will do the rest. Jeff was very instrumental in helping us get our color scheme figured out, if that is what you require. We will definitely contact him for any future painting needs.

Jeff was prompt with providing us with a quote and was very reasonably priced given all the work he was going to do. He showed up exactly when promised and took about as long to complete the jobs as he expected. He did the interior portion while we were away and was very trustworthy with our home, even looking after our gerbils for us for no charge! He paid extreme attention to detail and prep work - especially on our beat up exterior. His clean up afterwards was beyond what we expected. Both Jeff and his assistant Victor are personable and easy to talk to. We left most of the color choices up to Jeff and couldn't be happier! He had been recommended by two friends and I will also be highly recommending both his interior and exterior work.

Jeff painted my patio home and he did an excellent job. Very professional and takes his work very seriously. Very detail oriented and trust worthy, high marks for Jeff.
