Mike's Computer Repair

He was able to remotely look at my computer and at first he wasn't sure. I was having a lot of issues with it running very slowly. He wasn't sure but within a short amount of time, as he looked, he was able to identify what the problem was and helped from his end to do what he could. I really need more memory and that was part of the problem. He told me what I should think about for that and probably why it happened was that I explained that my son-in-law had gotten all the pieces and part for the computer and had gotten me a new one 2 years ago and probably didn't get me enough memory at that time. But the upshot was as we got to the end of the time, I asked if I owed him extra and he said no, it just ran a few minutes over and hour and he said if you would just write a review on my services and I said I would. He was very helpful and when I talked to him the first time, we set up a time. I told him he would have to put his patience hat on for me because I am an older lady and he chuckled and he was very patient in explaining everything.

This took over 4 hours! He kept in touch with me by phone during this time and succeeded in repairing our computer. I would highly recommend Mike and will certainly use him in the future for all of my computer needs. He is a find! He only charges if he fixes the computer. As of last evening, we thought he had not fixed it, but this morning it is working fine. I have still not paid him and am waiting for him to contact me so I can do that. This is an honest man who prides himself in his work.

It was not very well. It was very hard to get in touch with this guy to make an appointment to actually have the remote computer diagnosis done. When I finally did get a hold of him, maybe appointments, he assessed my computer basically told me that I need a new computer. It was probably well over a month before we finally got together and made an appointment. He didn't know that my computer was an older computer. So, he said because of that he could not do what he specifically do in diagnosing problems that I have. His response was simply just you really need to buy a new computer.

I bought an Angie's List deal because Mike's ratings were so high. We had previously paid someone else to try and fix it but it was just beyond his capabilities. Mike emailed me the same day, gave me his phone number and said I could call him right away even though it was a weekend. He called at the arranged time, the computer was so messed up it took a while for us to get to the point where he could remotely access the computer. He admitted it was going to be a challenge and every time he reached one of the many challenges, Mike always had a plan B (and c). It took a while but he fixed it. All of the pop-ups and malware that were making it nearly impossible to use the computer were gone! Mike is worth every penny and I didn't hear my husband swear even once today. I've put Mike's number on speed dial.

Ease in making an appointment, simple to follow instructions for downloading software needed for him to work on our computer remotely. Mike was punctual, knowledgeable, and professional. He explained what scans he was running and actions he was taking and explained if more time was needed/cost in order to complete the computer fix. He also explained that he would not charge us if he could not fix the problem. He did a great job, our computer is running great without all the annoying pop up ads etc. that we had before.

AWESOME!!! is all I can say. Mike is fantastic and really knows his stuff!

It went great. Mike contacted me the very same day I requested service and took care of my 1st laptop that very same evening. He got the computer from 1 mouseclick every 15 minutes to very fast--from 100% CPU usage to 4% CPU usage--so it was a huge difference. The 2nd laptop had malware/popups attached throughout and I couldn't even get to the internet. He cleaned it all up and uninstalled all the malware. He answered my questions, did everything remotely and again very timely so I didn't have to take my laptops elsewhere and be without them.

Took extra time with mine, but debuged it and tuned, runs much better and faster. Plan on using him on a semi regular basis.

After seeing and buying the "tune-up special" service on Angie's "Daily Special" email, I immediately received an message with Mike's contact information. I called and set up an appointment, and quickly received an e-mail containing clear and simple instructions regarding how to set up my computer for our on-line session. When the appointment time arrived, Mike was prompt, courteous, patient, knowledgeable and very capable. In short, he was a paragon of all the virtues. He took the time to explain what he was doing and why, and made no effort to make his methods seem like black magic. He answered all of my many questions clearly. Although I had originally purchased the $55.00 "Angie's Special," he took pains to explain why my particular problem was above and beyond the basic tune up, and he made it very clear that there would be an extra charge and why that charge was necessary. He explained further that the extra charge was guaranteed; it wouldn't go higher, and wouldn't be applied at all if he couldn't fix the problem. (He did solve it). In my opinion, It was money well spent, especially because it was NOT necessary to disconnect my computer, take it to a shop, and be without it for an extended period. Mike did a very thorough job in just a couple of hours. Very highly recommended.

Mike was AWESOME! It is so great to be able to remotely connect and have somebody check out your computer while you are at home and being able to converse and understand the person. Highly recommend, very experienced and very personable!

It went very well. After we made a initial assessment, he began working on the computer and he responded completely to all my questions.

Mike told me to contact him to discuss options. He told me that the "special" would not necessarily do what I wanted done. I normally keep my computer "clean"....and knew exactly where I had picked up the mal-ware on the IE---it was from downloading on CNET. (don't DO IT!). So, I decided to just use his hourly rate of $85 and if he couldn't fix it in an hour and a half---there would be no charge. He was able to fix my computer, remotely, in an hour..and so the charge was $85. Mike seemed very knowledgeable, was very professional, was right on time, and I would most definitely use him again. I've already recommended him to several people. This was SO much easier than taking my computer and leaving it for several days at a repair shop.

During the two hour period, we had various phone conversations with Mike as he walked us through a series of procedures to scan files, etc. He was extremely patient and clear with directions, going back through steps to insure everything had been done to clean up the problem. When it became evident that nothing was successful, Mike offered to walk us through backing up our data and said he would be available for questions when we began to shop for a replacement. He did not charge us for the work done on the computer and went above and beyond in attempting to resolve the problem.

Mike was very responsive to my request for assistance...I just purchased the "deal" today for help in getting my computer running in top shape again....He connected to my computer remotely and ran a number of programs which identified the malware in the guise of anti-malware programs that had infiltrated my computer....One of the programs had deleted all my desktop icons from the desktop...Mike ran 3 different programs and cleaned up the computer, but, he wasn't able to to get the icons back as of yet....He said that he would do some additional research and see if he can come up with a solution and call me back in a few days...if he does get some pertinent information....Otherwise, my computer runs like a top...I also paid him for an additional hour to assist me with an external hard drive backup of my critical files....The original work took 3 hours although I was only charged for 1 and the second hour was for the back-up assistance.....I would recommend him highly...He is quite friendly, patient, competent, and communicates well with those of us who lack the technical expertise to do this all ourselves....Thank you...i will definitely use his service again if necessary...:-)

I had stopped using my laptop because it was so slow and unresponsive. Mike took care of all of that. It now responds to me and is well protected from viruses and malware. Thank you!

Mike is the best diagnostic and issue solving tech I have worked with. And I have worked with many! I wish I found him 20 years ago. He is highly professional and knowledgeable. I cannot recommend him more enthusiastically.

The service was excellent. He seemed very knowledgeable. However, I wanted him to clean up the computer and increase the speed which is what I thought the big deal covered. I didn’t know my laptop would take more than an hour. To get my laptop completely cleaned, I would have to pay extra for the extra time. Other than that, everything was good. They did the service remotely from their location. They logged into my laptop and cleaned it.

Smoothly. Mike was excellent. He has integrity and cares about his work.

Session for remote log-in was scheduled easily. Remote access was authorized and Mike spent about 2 hours performing computer system checks, asking questions about recent problems, noting issues. My system had serious malware issues and Mike successfully cleaned up my system. Bevcause the system check took over an hour, I paid $85 for the additional time needed to complete the system check. I will definitely call Mike for future issues. He was very professional and knew what he was doing.

The service went fine. I had no complaints on the service at all. He was able to fix the computer after it was running very slow. Mike did a good job and was pleasant to work with. He did not try to sell me anything I did not need, and installed a free trial anti-virus program. I ended up purchasing the anti-virus program because it worked so well. I had no problem contacting the company or scheduling the service.
