Mike's Computer Repair

I called Mike on a Saturday night because my computer had contracted the FBI virus. I decided to hire Mike to remove the virus remotely. He talked me through steps to get the process moving and was very patient and knowledgeable. However, due to the unresponsiveness of my computer we were unable to set things up for Mike to work on my computer remotely. Still, even though he knew I wouldn't be able to give him my business he was still willing to work with me to solve the problem, and willing to give up his own time though he knew he would be getting paid. Given another opportunity to use Mike I would absolutely do so.

Highly recommend this provider. Extremely pleasant and professional. I'm in FL and he's in AZ and he brought my old XP machine back to life remotely. He did what he promised and it cost what he said it would. No surprises. Very pleased with the result.

Mike was able to tune-up my computer on the same day I called him. That was very appreciated.

Mike determined the problem over a 3 hour offsite analysis, but since it was a monitor issue not a virus he charged me a very resonable cost.

After reading reviews about Mike on angieslist, I e-mailed him about the problems I was having on my computer. He said he could fix them remotely so we set a time and I bought his deal of $55 for $110 of services. He spent about 45 minutes remotely on my computer and then called and explained what he had done. I was very satisfied and delighted to have found him. I would definitely use him again for any computer problems.

He reached out to me right away and we set a time for him to conduct the work remotely. He told me when we would do it and he stuck to that time. He did his initial scan and realized that he would need to conduct extra cleaning outside of the original agreement. I agreed to this at the rate he quoted me. He finished up his work and computer works well now

Mike came to my rescue 3 months ago and fixed a long standing problem with my computer. At that time he warned me that I might have a serious virus problem, but we agreed we would wait and see how the initial fixes went. Everything was fine for a while so we knew some problems had been addressed. Then my computer began to get squirrely again. Turns out he was 100% correct in his diagnosis and this time he cleaned out a host of unwanted visitors (just under 3,000!) and repaired the problems they were causing. All this took a considerable amount of elapsed time, waiting for scans to complete (hours), testing, checking, and speaking with me on the phone, so Mike was on the job literally all night! And that is why I am writing this second review, because I want to emphasize strongly that Mike is an amazing person and more than you could ever ask for in a professional service provider. His office-based remote system works beautifully and if you want to, you can watch him work, but you will have to watch closely because he works very very fast! Rest assured you are in good and safe hands with Mike and his pricing is incredibly reasonable. I'm sure he puts in a lot more work than he charges for. I absolutely cannot recommend him more highly.

Mike called and let me know he had been contacted by Angie's List about the Deal. We set up a time for the service. I had to download a program to enable Mike to access my computer, he asked some basic questions, and then I went about my business. An hour later he called; he had completed the tune-up and had a few more questions and suggestions. That was it. A great deal for $55, from someone who was knowledgeable, did not talk down to someone who doesn't know a "bite" from a "byte", and was a real pleasure to deal with. A+ all the way!

I would highly recommend this computer technician for any support service needed. He was competent, courteous, responsive and reasonably priced. He was honest and forthright with his assessment and I felt understood the value of repeat business Iand you have to treat your clients well if that is to be expected). Very positive experience.

We were getting a consistent popup that limited our use of our gmail. Mike ran a program remotely to eliminate the malware on our 10 year old computer and when the problem continued he did additional work until it was rectified.

PC improved somewhat, but not exactly like I had hoped. Maybe my PC is just too old

Mike called me back when he was done with his diagnosis and tune up and gave me detailed feedback - all good news.

My ten year old computer crashed and I had no back-up of my personal files. I purchased a new computer system including laptop, tablet, printer, router, and external drive. Mike was responsive, knowledgeable, and personable. He came to my home and set up my new computer system and took my crashed computer with him to see if he could recover my personal files. He was able to recover all of my documents including pictures, music and email. He remotely transferred the recovered files to an external hard drive (I've learned my lesson). He was always readily available to discuss technical issues, answer questions and advice along the way. Overall, he made a stressful experience not as stressful. I felt like I had someone in my corner that I could trust. He offers exactly what his description says, honest, reliable and friendly services. I will use him again and recommend him to others.

I responded to a 50% off coupon for computer analysis from Angie's List. The coupon was good for 6 months, but I did not respond right away due to my busy holiday schedule. Mike responded right away, by email, with details of how to call him, what he would do and how long it would take. He followed up again last week and the service was arranged for today. He walked me through our initial conections, took control of my pc and asked me questions about deleting some of the programs. He said he would call me back in an hour to review his findings. I could watch as he performed all the necessay tasks and took notes to ask questions later. He completed everthing within the hour and called me back to discuss what was done. Overall, he was knowledgable, a good listener, and explained everything in "plain" English-- no computer "jargon". I would definitely recommend him to others, and would contact him again with any questions I might have with this or other computers.

This was an excellent experiance. Mike was both pleasent and knowlegable. He improved my computer performance, and gave me suggestions on what speed to expect from the internet. I will use him again in the future.

I was having MAJOR problems with my computer. Mike tried to repair it remotely, but evidently it had a virus that effected administrator controls and prevented him from making repairs. As promised, he did not charge for the time he spent when this remote repair attempt was not successful. He volunteered to pick up my computer from my home on a Friday afternoon and returned it to me on Monday?during the weekend between Christmas and New Year?s when many service providers were not working. In the end, he had to reformat my computer. When he delivered it he spent time setting up my email and other programs the way I prefer. He charged me only $275 for this repair, though I paid him more in light of the time he spent. He also has been responsive to some follow-up questions that I?ve emailed him.

Mike was great. Fixed computer the same day I contacted him. He was professional and very reasonable. With all the scans he had to run, it took hours to fix but only charged us for the time he worked on it not scan time. Our computer is running great again!!!

I was not happy being asked to give you my e mail password on this report. Nothing to do with the service provider but I don't thinlk yoou should require that of your clilents.

I contacted Mike regarding the "PC Critical Alerts" . When I clicked on the "PC Alert", it recommended repair downloads. I was sceptical about downloads causing more problems so I contacted Mike. He looked at my computer, saw the "PC Critical Alerts" and advised that it is definitely spam from my email provider. Mike recommended closing this email account. Mike is very knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend Mike and will definitely contact him if I have any future computer problems.
