Mike's Computer Repair

Mike's Computer Service did what he advertised he would do and was very professional. My computer is running better than it has been for a long time and now quicker.

It was a pleasure dealing with Mike. My desktop computer was running very slow and i ordered additional memory sticks online. I did not feel confident enough with the process to install the additonal memory myself. I called Mike to find out if he did house visits, what i needed done, and explained that to get access to the cpu would require moving a very heavy office desk. He quoted me a price and asked me to give him a call when i was ready for him to come do the job. He promptly returned my call, set up an appointment for later that day, and arrived right on time. High energy, very professional, easy going! He went right to work as soon as he got there, moving the desk, installing the memory and then returning the desk to it's original position. I would not only recommend him to others, i would definitely call him again should the need arise.

Mike did a great job. He cleaned up my system and did a speed test that showed how slow our service provider is (AT&T). We switched to Comcast, which is more expensive, but well worth the cost. Thanks, Mike!

I was not home when he called it was my daughter. she said he ran tests and just said the computer was old but it did speed it up a little.

Seriously look no further than Mike. Awesome service and really knows his stuff. Fixed our business computer remotely in a couple hours. I was worried about what was happening with a business computer since it is our life line. Mike was professional, answered his phone when we called and called back promptly when we needed to move to another process in the repair. I seriously cant say enough about Mike. Call him. If he can't fix it, it can't be done. Couldn't have been better.

He was able to access my computer even though we are over 1,000 miles apart. I was able to watch everything he did. He removed viruses and malware, yet preserved what I wanted to keep. It took a long time, but he stuck to his original estimate for charges. He was very pleasant to work with.

Everything went well--I will keep Mike's phone number close by and have no problem sharing it with others.

This is our second time using Mike's remote service. He's out in New Mexico and we are in Virginia, but a shop down the road couldn't beat the services. He is very good at what he does.

Mike went over the one hour but did not charge me more. He earned my confidence and satisfaction.

Started at 3.30 and had paid for one hour at $55. Mike informed that he would look at what was on the computer and if it would take longer than the hour I paid for it, it did. Mike had to leave after the first hour as he had another appointment and that worked for me as I also had errands to run. Came back on line shortly after 6 and continued on and off for another 2 hours as we were working with remote access and that sometimes stopped. I was charged for the additional hour $85 and told that if it went any longer, which it did, there would be no further charge. Mike was extremely informative, professional and did his job well. Whilst it is still early days for me to see the full results Mike has offered that I can check in with him if I have any further concerns or queries. I would not hesitate to recommend him!

Mike cleared up a lot of the computer's issues, but he cut me off at the 1-hour mark exactly. Unfortunately, he needed just five more minutes to take care of everything. In all fairness, he could have thought he had finished. I ended up having a friend finish the work for free however.

Called Mike and explained that my PC was running VERY slow. Within 30 minutes he was online looking through my computer. Approximately 3 hours later, my computer was running smoothly and faster. Mike removed virus' and any unwanted programs that I no longer use. Mike was very professional and helpful. He also recommended that I start looking for a new computer as my current one is about 6 years old. I will definitely use his services again.

After my initial clean up Mike told me what to expect in regards to my pc needing to update and such. However, I noticed that I still had pop-ups, and an FLV-player ad (which I learned is very malicious and stubborn). I called Mike back, this was a Saturday mind you, and he assisted me with getting everything off. There was an additional cost, but he was doing additional things that required above and beyond the package I had purchased. He worked me through the issue (updates, and loading up software to get the rest of the malware off). Mind you, it was about 7:45pm his time on a Saturday when it was all said and done. Most people would have said, yeah cal me on Monday morning. Not Mike! Overall, everything he did, the previous job and this one was $100. Which more reasonable than Geek Squad, and certainly less expensive than a new laptop, which I was considering. Mike was punctual, accommodating, and he had all the right fixes. As a matter fact, for the second go round he told me he wouldn't charge me if he couldn't get it fixed. I would definitely use him again, over and over without question.

My computer crashed on a Sunday. By Monday, it was restored to factory settings and I was getting numerous pop-ups to the point that I wasn't able to work because they continuously kept coming up. By Wednesday, I had had it and searched Angie' list for a repair person and found Mike's Computer Repair and chose it based on the great ratings. I called Mike and he instantly went into my computer remotely. Within two hours the computer was as good as new. I'd recommend Mike to everyone. He was efficient, professional and made me feel comfortable. Thanks Mike for a job well done!

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was fine. But a couple of weeks later, it was re-infected. It wasn’t against them at all. He was very helpful and very punctual. Overall, the service was fine and it went very smoothly. I don’t know if he completely fixed it or not so I can’t say. Thinking that I hadn’t used the computer much then all of a sudden, it’s still going on. Maybe it’s my computer, I’m not blaming them at all. I paid around $80 because he had stayed around longer for the job. He was very responsive.

He responded very quickly to me, he was very patient with me and did all of his work remotely which was great. He spent almost 3 hours with me and charged me the bargain price on Angie’s list which was $55. He was professional, courteous and very kind to me.

Mike was very personable and a fast, competent worker. He listened to my concerns and responded professionally. He kept in contact with me throughout the service. I will recommend him to everyone and will use him again, as needed. I was particularly impressed that he could respond to my needs so quickly. He is a nice guy and I felt very comfortable with him.

My computer works great now! He was upfront about how long it would take. It actually took longer than he expected, way more viruses than we anticipated. He didn't charge me extra. He also installed a virus protection. I would definitely recommend him!

The computer was working until it was put in sleep mode, once that happened it never woke up. I made a call to Mike on Wednesday, explained what happened and he knew right away it was the power supply unit. We scheduled the appointment for the following day. Mike arrived at out house right on time, he replaced the power supply unit and we hooked everything back up. Mike took a look at what was running, he indicated there was programs loaded that were no longer needed, so we removed them. The computer is up and running with no issues. In the future if we ever have any computer issues, Mike will be our go to guy.

The computer issue I am having cannot be repaired remotely (since my computer is frozen and he wouldn't be able to log-in remotely). However, he talked with me about the issue and what to ask local computer repair people. I do plan to use Mike's services in the near future for my computer tune-ups (and my husband's PC too). Mike was very professional and knowledgeable.

Mike was great. He responded immediately and provided the services requested faster than I could have hoped for. He cleaned up my kids' computer that had over 500 infections!!! Since the service was done remotely, we talked on the phone several times during this process. He also gave me tips for the future and sent me another email afterwards to tell me about something he didn't tell me while we were on the phone. I was very impressed with his quality of service. I will call Mike again if I need computer work done.
