This was our second time using his services, and it was a fabulous experience as usual. He charged very reasonable fee, did a good job, and went above and beyond to ensure that he made it to our house on time. We'd definitely recommend his services.

I was very happy, however the computer didn’t come back. Mike was great with working on that and spent far more time than we had originally planned for; he didn’t charge me for that either. He did a great job, he tried everything that I asked him to do and more, but we could not get past the blue screen of death. He recommended helping me with cleaning out the whole computer and starting over new. It was great to be able to spend time with him and we tried out different situations. I would definitely use him again in the future and refer him to friends. In the future and for other Angie's List members make sure that you have the time available to if you were to use him and his services.

My PC ran extremely slow, freeze up often, the CPU usage near or at 100% and very frustrating to use because of the slow response. Mike did a wonderful job in cleaning up the PC, removed some malicious malware, and freed up a great deal of the CPU usage. Mike was patient, professional, knowledgeable and very pleasant to work with. Mike improved my PC performance beyond my expectations. I would definitely hire Mike again with computer issues in the future. I have the utmost confidence in Mike's abilities.

We ended up not using them because we would have to pay extra for their services. However, there were no problems communicating with them.

Mike explained what he was going to do, told me how long it would take, got my permission, then proceeded to do a system check to see where the problem were. He was fast, efficient, and explored multiple options before determining he was done.

After Mike got on my computer remotely, we talked about some of the problems I was having. Then Mike went to work, calling me periodically to update me. At the end of one hour, we agreed that Mike would continue his malware and virus screens. In the end, Mike did not charge me for the extra hour -- as the major problems were not because of malware or viruses. He suggested I take my computer in to reinstall the operating system, reformat, run updates (no updates had been successful since the computer was bought) etc.. . . . But after we talked for awhile, and I told him that I'd been having problems since I bought the computer, he suggested I just get a new computer since reformatting, reinstalling etc. will just take me back to the original problems. I trust Mike's judgment and expertise completely. What he found and what he advised made perfect sense to me. Though I am far from an expert, I do know the problems I've been having. I'm so glad that my intuition that my computer was a lemon was corroborated by Mike. I will contact Mike's Computer Repair for everything in the future.

My experience went really well. They were friendly and it was all easy to work with them. They were very honest with us and forth wright in their explanations. We felt like we could trust them.

The service did not go very well. The technician ran a program on the computer that is supposed to find all issues on your computer. The program itself takes an our which ate up all of the time I purchased with the deal. He also worked on the computer for about a half hour as well. I was charged an additional $80 for the extra time he worked on the computer. I felt like the deal was a scam and a way for the company to make more money on the service. The technician was okay, but I do not think he really did a lot of work. He was courteous and friendly. I had no issues with scheduling.

Mike responded quickly and was very professional.

Mike "took over" my computer from his location, scanned it for problems and fixed the ones found. He offered recommendations for speeding up the computer and for future problem prevention.

They never contacted me. I called twice but there was no response and they never contacted me back. I ended up getting a whole new computer.

He was wonderful! He was in Phoenix, AZ and I was in San Antonio, TX at the time and we did everything over the phone!

Hard to say. They were e professional responsive and courteous. We ran into some trouble while they were performing the tune up. My computer overheated and I had to take it to a.local shop. Turns out I needed a new fan and a hard drive. So the remote tune up.was.never really completed. Not the fault of this company though.

I responded to an Angie's List deal for remote computer repair $55 (this is for an hour of service). My computer had intermittent slow internet connections. I contacted Mike and ended up rescheduling it for a week later than originally proposed. Mike was accommodating to this. I called him and he had me install a Teamviewer app so he could connect remotely and take control of my computer. He scanned my harddrive and saw some items which were malware and could contribute to slow connections. After an hour, he saw that there were other items that he needed to do, so he asked me if I wanted him to continue and, if so, it would cost additional. I told him to go ahead. After an additional 1.5 hours, he did most things he could. One other thing I said I could do on my end. He ran a speed test, and the computer was running around 30Mbs. He appears to have found and repaired (either removed or updated) the items contributing to slower connections.

My home computer (HP Pavilion desktop, @ 3-4 yrs old), was running extremely slow, internet settings were not working consistently, and keyboard was not working properly. My husband and i even purchased a new keyboard thinking the old one was malfunctioning, but still the same issues (some keystrokes missed intermittently, space bar sticks or skips, etc.). So when I saw the Angie's list offer for Mike's Computer Repair and read the details and the reviews, we latched right onto it. Mike responded within a couple hrs (over the wkend), and we set an appt. for early the following week. He sent me software to load so he could connect to my computer remotely (which is how my Corporate IT does it), which was very easy. When I called him at the appointed time he was right there and started to access my computer immediately. I could watch as he removed unnecessary programs (which he asked me about first), then he was running other software which we didn't need to be on the phone for. He called back after about half an hour and advised that there were other bugs he needed to run other software on, and that we would likely exceed the 1st hour. I was fine with it...the 2nd hr would be charged at $85, which was a discount from the usual $110/hr (and would be prorated if needed). Our computer had nearly 1600 pieces of malware on it....things that anti-virus software (I use Norton 360) doesn't catch as it's not a "virus", but things that slowly degrade performance over time. I've waited over a week to write the review to see how the computer would continue to perform, and it's great. No more keyboard issues, my internet settings are stable, and my computer (though not the newest and the fastest), works exactly the way I expect it should. Would definitely recommend Mike's service...and also caution if purchasing similar service outside of Angie's list. My husband sent an email to his buddies who send out weekly distribution lists of stupid jokes, and asked that he be taken off these as they likely contributed to the problem (of course no one is making my husband click through these emails). One of my husband's buddies who used to work in corporate IT (now retired) now does what Mike does, and uses the same software (if only we had known this before, oh well :-) ). He said to beware of purchasing like services as there are many scammers out there that charge you more and do absolutely nothing. But the good news is Mike's Computer Repair is legit and I'd totally recommend!

He was SUPER patient and really cleaned out all of the bad stuff. He explained EVERY step he would take and I watched him do his stuff. I could NOT believe all the bad stuff on the computer. My Dell is back to running like it had been originally. I would 1000% recommend Mike to ANYONE having PC issues. Thanks SO MUCH Mike! What a RELIEF!

It went very well. Very easy to talk to, seemed knowledgeable and efficient.

Mike did an EXCELLENT JOB He moves fast in order to be efficient. However, that proved to be challenging for me because of my learning style. He genuinely attempted to pace his instructions so that I could fully comprehend the important information. His level of expertise is extensive. I encountered two challenges after he left. He thought I needed to call to find out my activation key for Microsoft Office because the information could not be found. I discovered later that the code was still in the computer box. I am grateful I found it. He took a call from me later when the Adobe program was taking forever to install. The fact that he can access my computer remotely is an outstanding service. My new modem completely died on the 2nd day. It was a dud. I called him to report this problem, and left a message. I did not hear back. However, that is okay...I called both Cox and Motorola and they told me it was dead and to return it to the merchant. I now have a new modem and everything else is working well. I need more lessons to fully understand my system, but that will have to wait for awhile.

All went well until about 6 days later and a virus reappeared when I tried to print a Groupon voucher. I called Mike and that evening he repaired it remotely. This took about 3 hours to clean it up . When Mike called to say all should be straightened out there was no additional charge which I appreciated as it should have been good for longer than 6 days. All in all Mike is very fair and professional which I really like after being self employed for 30 years. You do what you need to do for your customer. I will definitely call on Mike in the future and recommend him to my friends. THANKS MIKE!

Overall, not happy with the outcome of the whole situation.

Mike installed a new printer and did a quick clean up on my computer. It was very fast service, same day!

It went fine, it has been great, they've done it in a reasonable time. I'd go back to him again, I thought it was reasonable and it prevented me in making a major purchase. I would use them again, it could be pricey but it could be justified, he didn't even charge me, it was like a free estimate, it was a better deal.

He at first was going to work from home but I asked him to come on site and he gladly complied. He worked on it at our house for 1/2 hour and then realized it had numerous problems including mal ware etc. He took it to his place and called us several times during the evening for support info on some of our files. He obviously spent quite a bit of time but was not giving up. Ultimately he had to reload everything from scratch but was very successful. He obviously spent more time than the 3 hours he charged us for. I will keep his number for the next time!
