Mike's Computer Repair

Mike ranks at the top of my list as to have someone like Mike that helped me with my computer problems. Mike is very knowledgeable, experienced, capable, friendly and easy to work with. He explained what he needed to do to help correct the problems on my computer. Mike let me know what he would charge me for his work and it is reasonable. He hooked me up to his computer so I did not have to leave my computer off with someone to get the work done. I just spent part of the evening with Mike and he was able to solve the problems that I had. I cannot thank you enough, Angie, for having Mike on your list. Where I live in central Minnesota, it has become nearly impossible for me to find someone who has the knowledge, experience and ability to help me with any computer problem that I may have now or later. I give Mike 5 stars + for what he did to help me, I enjoyed his pleasant personality and I plan to have him help me again in the near future. :) :)

The set up went well. Mike is very knowledgeable about technology. He was able to talk me through setting up the new computer and I am not at all technically inclined. For me, the successful set up was a small miracle. I must add that he is very patient and thorough. I've been using Mike for a couple of years now and am one very satisfied customer. I would highly recommend him for any computer issues. You will not regret it.

I was totally awestruck by Mike's professionalism, knowledge and honesty. He was able to reassure me that my used computer is in tip top shape and has more memory then I even imagined. He was able to remotely get into my computer to check it out since he is in Arizona and I am in Oklahoma. Normally I would not have allowed this-but thanks to Mikes many tremendous reviews and A Grade I trusted him and do not regret it. In my opinion he deserves an A++! It's been 20 years since I have owned a desktop computer and I'm obviously not tech savvy! Mike did not take advantage of that and was even kind enough to share some info with me free of charge. I have already opened a file (in my filing account with his name on it)! I am making a list of things for him to help me with and will definitely be back in touch with him. I highly recommend Mike's company to anyone looking for an honest, reputable computer repair person.

Mike was able to get the upgrade on to my computer and he also was able to determine that the system was grossly inadequate for what I wanted to do. He recommended what I should look for when I purchase a new one and when I do make a purchase I will be calling on him to get my system up to speed. I was most impressed with Mike’s professionalism and knowledge and I would definitely recommend him for any computer issues.

Mike was great, he is very knowledgeable and attentive. He determined that as a result of the power outage my computer was now starting up as if I was a different user which meant all my files were not lost. The files were intact and located under the original user. Mike reported that the problem was unusual and likely related to the fact that my computer is well over five years old. Mike identified a number of options we could try to fix the problem, none of which were appealing to me. In the end the option that was most appealing was to purchase a new computer which I had actually been contemplating anyway. Mike then helped me develop specifications for the new computer. Once I obtain the new computer I will engage Mike to help me set it up and to move my files over. Thanks Mike for being such a great help.

The process was easy and my experience with Mike was great. After being told my computer had a major problem that would require a $250 software repair I decided to get a second problem. I contact Mike on a Sunday morning and my project was solved later that morning. Mike fixed my problem in an hour and it only cost me $85. I would highly recommended Mike to help with any computer issue.

Excellent! Mike works remotely and talked me through getting connected, then he took it from there. He told me what he would do. and called back in about 30 minutes as he said. He gave me a couple options for what needed to be done. I chose to have him scan the entire drive. It's nice to know I have found someone I can rely on.

I requested a quote online and got a call from Mike within several minutes. He gave me an hourly rate (lower than others I had checked) and was able to do work remotely and right away. He was very patient with me and never made me feel uncomfortable when I didn't understand something. I would definitely recommend him and use him again.

I was having trouble with my desktop computer. Sad to say but I only have the basic knowledge of a computer. My screen kept showing me I was out of storage space and it had finally got down to zero space and I could not open any of the programs. I did call Dell support but my warranty was already out and they wanted around $130 to take care of the problem. I then called best by and spoke to a member of The Geek Squad and I was told that I could bring the computer in and for $39 he would point out a few things to me but I would have to punch in everything myself or he could keep it for the day and it would be somewhere around $100 for him to take care of the storage problem. I was concerned with leaving it that he would delete items that I wanted to keep. So that night I saw a TV advertisement on Angie's List and I thought that was always for plumbers, electricians, etc. But I looked it up on my tablet and there was so much more to choose from including all types of Computer Services. I reviewed a few of the listings and saw that Mike's Computer Repair had the most and best reviews. So I picked out 2 companies and emailed them both the problem I was having. I believe it was about 15 minutes later when Mike called me and we went over my problems and he was ready to take care of them that instant so he told me what the cost would be each step of the way. Mike took over my computer and for about 3 hours did all the necessary repairs that I needed. On completion he called and told me that my internet speed was so slow that it was one of the reasons it took him so long to do his work and that I should contact my internet supplier. The next day I did so and we were not getting what we paid for on the speed of our computers so they sent a repairman out check the lines did a few changes and one of our computers the speed returned to it but my computer which Mike had worked on was still extremely slow so I called Mike back and told him that AT&T thought it was my computer. Mike went back into my computer and checked on a couple of items and we did a speed test and it was still so slow that Mike recommended that I get a adapter for my unit. He told me exactly what to buy and if I had any troubles installing it to to give him a call. I went to Office Depot and purchased the adapter got back home and followed the instructions and could not get it to work. I gave Mike a call and he got on the computer again and in less than a minute he had it set up and working and my speed had increased greatly. I am very pleased with the service I received from Mike. He was so friendly and so professional it was a pleasure dealing with him. I would definitely recommend his services to anyone in need of any type of help with their computer.

Mike is very helpful and takes time to explain what he is doing. In addition he made sure my computer had no other problems. I'd never use anyone else for computer problems.

After posting the request, Mike gave me a call shortly afterwards. We agreed on a time to do the work,same day. Mike called again, dialed into the computer, using Team viewer and did what needed to be done. Afterwards everything worked perfectly.

Great job! I contacted Mike to identify and correct some issues with my home computer performance. In addition to identifying and repairing these issues, he ran more in-depth scans for malware, spyware, etc. and corrected all. Updated anti-virus was installed and overall performance has improved dramatically. He also identified issue with internet speed...something I will now take up with my provider! I highly recommend Mike and will use him in the future.

He fixed my computer within an hour. He is always professional and tells you what he is doing as he goes through the steps on the repair. His remote computer service is just stellar!

Mike did a great job. He was quick to respond to my initial email. Was on time. Walked me through everything. And go my 4-year-old computer tuned up, which will help it run another year or two. This is the second time I have used him (the last time was about 4 years ago with different computer). As an added bonus, unlike some folks out there who when they get your email address, you are hit with weekly marketing emails that the like, he doesn't do that. I get a few emails throughout the year from him, but he is not blowing up my inbox, which I appreciate. His rate was $55 for the service and when he found a lot of malware, gave me the option of running a full scan to cleaning it up even more for an additional rate (said it was up to me, and he said my computer seemed to be running fine so it was not necessary, but my choice... I figured since we had already begun, might as well). In all, it took about 3 hours (the $55 was for 1 hour) and I was charged $130. I greatly appreciated his professionalism, transparency, knowledge and skill.

Mike was excellent! He was patient, professional, and able to explain a complex process as he worked. When I didn't understand something, he was able to repeat what the problem or issue was in a different way.
