Mike's Computer Repair

Called Mike, to setup an appointment. He set an appointment for the next day. Mike called a little before the appointed time and went over step by step with me to get her connection to the internet. During that time, Mike was very gracious and answered my many questions. He also did a complete virus and malware cleaning on her computer. He explained each and every step and showed me, whom the bad guys were that was infecting her computer. Her computer is working great. I have a very happy wife now. Mike has great knowledge and experience of over 21 years. Most of all he take his time in explaining what is going on with the computer. If I have any challenges with my or my wife's computer, I will now call my friend, Mike. Jim beattie

He did everything he said he would do and and completely checked my computer as set forth in his outline. He gave me some suggestions as to handle certain items that I needed to know. I would not hesitate to use him in the future and truly felt he was a man of great integrity. I have no complaints whatsoever and an totally satisfied.

It did not work, due to the fact that my computer could not stay connected. We agreed that the problem could not be corrected remotely and would require local hands on assistance. My fee was refunded

We have used Mike before and we are always satisfied. He is very customer oriented and explains everything as he goes along. He is patient!!! My husband's computer had never been checked and he got a fake mail from CenturyLink telling him hie had a virus and should call an 800# at Microsoft. This, apparently was malicious and NOT from CenturyLink. So, we called Mike to check it out. We feel very confident that he did the job efficiently, completely and honestly. We will call him again, definitely!

Mike was very professional and ensured me that he would not steal my identity. He logged on to my computer and was able to accomplish his teaching as well as make an attempt to remove multiple copied pictures with a program, but that did not work. I was only charged the $55.00 coupon that I got upfront from Angie's list.

Mike is FANTASTIC!!! He is a easy person to work with, patient, very knowledge and willing to help. My father was taken by one of the online scams earlier this week. I was not sure what the fake company did for 2.5 hours on his laptop but figured a bunch of Malware was installed. To try and control their access I had my dad power off his laptop and contact his credit card company. I have a fairly good amount of computer knowledge from helping family and friends over the years but, because the scam seemed very slick, I knew we needed someone with deeper skill set and knowledge than I had plus had access to good programs to help clean up everything. I know we could have taken it to the local Best Buy or Office Max and they would probably overcharge, have the laptop for days and in the end still not fully resolve the issue so you have to keep taking it back to them (been there, done that which is why I decided to start learning more on desktops/laptops). While I was reviewing the Angie's list big deals, I came across the offer for doing a remote PC tune up. I read all the reviews and liked what others were saying so I purchased the offer. Mike called shortly afterwards to find out what the issue was and arrange a login time. We set it up for the following day after I was off work so I could be at my dad's to work with Mike. The service call got off to a bit of a tough start all from my side as I got caught in traffic and was late in arriving at my dad's. Luckily, while sitting in traffic I was able to walk my father through the process to uninstall his higher version of Team Viewer so once I arrived I could quickly install the version Mike asked us to have. What my dad didn't tell me or realize was his wireless connection was not working. I called Mike to let him know the issue. He suggested we see if we could use a wired connection. Happy to say my dad not knowing he didn't need the cable when we went wireless, still had the wire connected to the modem so I just needed to connect the lose end to the laptop. Once there we were able to connect and download what Mike needed. Once Mike was able to remote in, away he went to work. He told us the scans and etc would probably take about 1.5-2.5 hours depending on how many files and etc the programs needed to spin through. Because my dad doesn't save a lot of stuff to the laptop, it helped speed things up considerably. Mike completed all the scans, cleanup and checks in just a little over an hour. The laptop was "flying" afterwards. Mike is someone I am thrilled I found. For me he is like "get of of jail free card" knowing if I get stuck with a temperamental computer I can pull my "card" out of my back pocket and give Mike a call to get his advise and/or help. His prices are reasonable and I know I wont be overcharged. Between myself, family and friends I have seven computers I oversee. Knowing I found someone that can be my "go to" person should I need is great. Thank you Mike!

I emailed Mike and he got back to me right away. He was able to do the job that afternoon. He told me my computer is so old that I'll need to replace it soon, and gave me the option to have the tune-up or to save my money for an new computer. I appreciated having the choice, rather than having the work done and then finding out I needed a new computer. Within an hour my old computer was running faster, and he deleted unnecessary or harmful stuff. He also helped me import my favorites in just seconds, which would have taken forever to figure out myself.

He took my case on the day I called him. My computer was completely overtaken by malware and Trojans. I had tried to download a Microsoft word program and I got phished. He couldn't believe how many items had been installed. Mike is so patient and friendly. He was very concerned that he not keep me up too late with all the work that he has to do to my computer. He answers my questions and explains everything completely and easily. You won't be disappointed if you hire him!!! Thanks Mike, you're my geek hero.

It was good. He solved my problem in less than an hour and so he invited me to call back for another problem and he would help me out with it. He is very knowledgeable and I think he did what he advertised he was going to do. The price was okay. He identified a specific time that would work for him and me and we agreed upon the time when we had an undisturbed hour.

Mike was wonderful to work with. Great personality also. Loved being able to cook dinner while someone else cleaned up my slow running computer. Runs like a new computer now. Mike worked on my pc for more than 2 hours. I never had to leave my house to take my computer in to be worked on and this was also much cheaper. I have school age kids so my time is very valuable to me. This is a great way for a busy mom/dad to get your computer cleaned up. Mike was recommended to me from a friend who used him and was very happy. I will definately use him again and highly recommend Mike to everyone. If you have a home business and don't want to do without your computer for a couple days, this is the way to go! Thanks Mike. I have 3 laptops so you will be hearing from me again!

It turned out okay. I had to pay another hour. It was another $85. He did tell me if I have any questions, I could just call him however the questions I asked, he didn't answer them. He did what he was supposed to do but it was just I wasn't happy.

Mike worked with me and gave me very helpful tips on how best to organize my document folders and back ups to my external hard drive. He was able to repair some path issues for me that was really creating a problem. I highly recommend Mike and his expertise with regard to computers. I have used him in the past and plan to continue using him in the future for my computer needs. He is pleasant, efficient and extremely knowledgeable.

Mike called we set up an appointment. The remote service is quick and easy. He took care of all my computer issues fast and efficiently. He kept me informed of how sick the computer was. He let me choose how much he would do and at what if any extra cost. Professional and will use again if needed

Told me my installation had been done correctly and I needed to return the printer ... which I did. Professional and very very competent!!

It went as expected and they accomplished everything I needed in the 2 hour window. They also explained everything to me and wrote down all that I needed for my own future reference.

It was great. I appreciated his help. He worked on the computer longer that the $55 allowed. He told me that he didn't fix the computer and didn't charge extra.

Mike was very responsive and exceptionally helpful in trying to diagnosis the slowness of my computer. As it turned out, there was no hope for my computer and Mike assisted me in backing up my data so that it will be available when I replace my outdated computer. I have been looking for someone I can trust to assist with computer problems and I believe I have found that person. I am asking Mike to assist me in replacing my computer and moving all the data to a new computer which he feels he can accomplish remotely.

found multiple problems with our computer. explained that because the computer had a lot of problems that to correct it would cost an additional $88.00. But because the computer was so old, he said instead of paying him to fix it, he recommended that we purchase a new one. he also showed us online the different types of computers. We we,re very happy with Mike, and would refer, and use his services in the future.

This is the second time I have used Mike's Computer Repair, which is a remote service. I used him a second time because he did a great job the first time. He called promptly and we set up a time to tune up my computer. The program to allow him to remotely log into my computer was easy to install and use. He made sure everything was working efficiently, updated my antivirus programs and helped me install my new printer. After the first time I used Mike's Computer Repair, I noticed a big difference in how my computer was running- much faster and stopped getting "This page cannot be displayed". For the second service, I made a list of things that I was concerned about and he addressed all of them and then helped me install a new printer, all for $55, which I would consider a bargain. I would definitely use Mike again and would highly recommend him. He also gave me recommendations for a new modem to help with my slow wireless service. Very happy with his services.

Everything went well. The extra $85.00 was for unexpected problems.
