Mike's Computer Repair

Mike phoned to explain the procedure, then sent an email to get my permission to work on my computer remotely, then called again when finished to debrief me. Very thorough, professional, and friendly.

It went very well. He was very patient in working with me through scheduling. He was very nice and professional, and he did a great job with the tune-up. He gave me an overview of everything he repaired when all was said and done.

I purchased a special Angie's List package for $55 for a routine hour long checkup. Mike found some threats and for an additional hour's charge he fixed them. He worked more than two hours however. Because of previous Angie's List customers' comments, I felt comfortable about giving him control of my computer. He kept me in the loop constantly, with phone calls. I feel the cost was reasonable as I did not have to unhook my desktop and haul it to a local storefront and probably pay the same amount or more. I would definitely recommend using this service, and will probably call him again next year for a tune up.

had several different virus' that slowed down computer, plus was running out of disc space. Mike was very thorough and explained what he was doing and why . I am very pleased. This was done remotely.

It went great. Mike really went out and beyond to try and fix my computer. He tried several different approaches to fix my computer. He was patient and very understanding.

Mike was very helpful. He checked my computer for viruses and said the computer looked clean. He also went out of his way to check on something that I had a question about and called me right back. He did some adjustments, which had made things a lot better. He is very knowledgeable and was a great help to me. I was very pleased with what he did. I would highly recommend Mike to anyone and I would definitely use him again.

Mike was professional and the process was easy on my end.

Prompt call to schedule service. Set a time. He had a cancellation and called an hour earlier to see if I was available. I was. I turned my computer over to him remotely and he worked his magic. Job well done. Highly recommend him if your computer needs the tasks he performs.

Poorly. The provider could not solve my computer problem, and recommended I get a new computer. Then, when I asked about onsite data/program transfer or upload instead, he said he did not do onsite work.

This is the third year that I asked Mike to check-out my computer. He removed malware, verified performance, deleted unecessary programs and offered good advice.

GREAT!!! If Mike said the process would take about 1-2 hours and he would call me back when he was done, he was on the phone with me immediately at that time. His instructions on how to set the process up for him to perform the task remotely (my computer at my house and him at his house) were nothing less than outstanding. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I would use Mike for any computer problems in the future and will recommend him to anyone having computer issues.

Fantastic! When I contacted Mike, I was able to conveniently schedule an appointment. Almost immediately, he sent me instructions on how to download software that enabled him to take remote access of my computer. Via telephone, we went over all of my concerns and he explained what he was doing, every step of the way. While watching him "go through the motions" I actually learned a lot! It took some time and a lot of investigation to resolve the upgrade issue but he stuck with it until a successful upgrade was finally complete. He also cleaned up all software downloads and added some apps he thought I could use. When all was said and done, Mike spent almost four hours resolving my laptop issues. All the while, he was very professional yet friendly and very patient! I will definitely call Mike for any future computer issues I may have.

My computer's speed was all right. Mike suggested checking with my internet provider and computer company for added speed. He was very helpful and honest.

Mike was punctual . Asked what problems I had been having . He explained every step and why it was necessary. I knew what he was doing and why it was needed. I appreciated the explanations as he went along.

Mike contacted me immediately to set up an appointment. He sent via email instructions to give him aceess to my computer remotely via team viewer. He then took over my computer and quickly found the problem which was that my hard drive was full. We discussed different options and decided that I would purchase an external hard drive. Once I purchaed it, I called him back and he showed me how to move the documents to the external drive and then how to detlete items on my internal drive to open up room. This all worked perfectly and my computer is now running much better. He also pointed out other things that he saw that would make my computer less prone to virus. I am always hestitant to try too many fixes on my computer by myself. Working with Mike, who was obviously very knowlegeable gave me reassurance. He was professional, responsive, patient, and friendly.

Mike did a great job cleaning up our computer. He removed a lot of junk and after his tuneup our computer ran much better and a lot faster. Mike also kept it in the 1 hr. time limit so there were no additional fees. He was very easy to work with and I would use his service in the future.

Mike did a thorough tune-up of my laptop plus he provided me with tips and information that increased my limited knowledge of computers. The tune-ups typically take an hour according to Mike but he spent a few extra minutes with me but did not increase the cost of the Angie's deal. Apparently, he has steps that he performs to complete a tune-up. However, in my case, it took a little more than the hour and he didn't charge extra. I would absolutely use Mike again.

The deal was great -- $55. He contacted me right away, but because of my work and school schedule, I couldn't get back to him for a number of weeks. He sent me a couple of messages to let me know he was still available to do the work (which i appreciated greatly). When we did have a chance to have him look at my pc, he was awesome. Good communicator. Knowledgeable. Very willing to explain his process and understood my concerns. He did the basic clean up and while he found some hidden bugs and things he could fix, he was very honest about whether or not I really needed to have more work done. In other words, I didn't feel like his initial $55 was a 'foot in the door' type deal. I would have been very confident with where my computer was working even if we didn't do a deep dive, but I wanted to have a competent computer person really dig into my system and make sure everything was running smoothly. So, I opted for an extra hour of his time (which was actually several hours, but he only charged for one), and he ran my system through the paces. Very easy to work with -- I even had to leave for a couple of hours and it didn't slow him down or hang things up. He works remotely and doesn't accept further payment until he has a chance to walk you through what he did and let you test the computer's performance yourself. Great job. Found my new IT go-to guy! Glad I found him on Angie's list. Would not have trusted anyone else without your recommendations.
