Mike's Computer Repair

He said my computer is too old and i need a new one and he said he would help me look for one.

Unnecessary items were removed and computer ran faster

It took more than the initial quoted time and cost but then I have a lot of stuff on my computer, so it seems fair.

Mike was super (see above) and I would highly recommend him and definitely would call upon him again when in need with my computer. He definitely knows what he is doing and felt I could completely trust him - which is a little scary - remotely not knowing who is in control of your computer, but you get to watch him work. Thank you Mike!!

I was very pleased that Mike would assist me on a weekend. After initial diagnosis we paused while Mike backed up my system into a folder for safekeeping in case it might be needed later. He then deleted things of concern using two different software tools. In the process several problems were resolve with my PC and the speed definitely has improved. All of these steps required 2 hours since the backup process required 30 minutes itself.

Mike was great and very knowledgeable. I really appreciated his patience with my lack of computer knowledge.

He found viruses and things my software couldn't find. we realized that my computer is good for the short term but I'll be upgrading sooner than later.

Mike was able to remove some unseen malware but the keyboard issues I still had were handled by a forgotten extended warranty via my Sam's club purchase on same laptop. I paid for extra hour of service after original purchased coupon on Angie's list

Great. Mike was persistent and patient and uncovered problems I didn't know were there are were impacting performance. He killed one really nasty Trojan with superb technical skill. A great experience all around.

Outstanding - all work was done remotely with numerous phone check-ins. Made first contact with Mike in the morning and we planned the work to be done that evening - at my convenience. Total process took 3 - 4 hours. The resulting improvement in our computer's performance was unbelievable! Ended many weeks of aggravation and heartburn that we thought was being caused by a poor Cox connection.

Really great, very complete job done. Would definitely hire again.

Mike is very patient, highly knowledgeable and non-judgemental in fielding all the silly questions those of us over 50 who grew up with the "slinky", "hoola-hoop", "super-balls" and cap-guns---and only use their computers for sending emails, checking in on a favorite news websites, YouTube, Ebay, Craigslist and researching a particular item to be purchased soon.... I really enjoyed working with Mike, and as I said to him, "..don't take this wrong, but I hope I won't be working with you soon..." ----but the nice thing is, if I do need a TOP notch "IT" Tech, I now know exactly who to contact and would absolutely recommend him to family and friends.

Service was efficient, quick and reasonable. Mike provided data about areas not covered in service.

He was very prompt and notified me the same day that I posted my call for help. I had to do very little myself and he just took over and relieved me of a lot of stress. Took him approx. 2 hours to discover all of my problem areas and to clean them up. His cost was very reasonable.

Mike was able to clean up the computer and it is now working much better. We really appreciated his patience, professionalism and the information he shared with us about computers and modems. We would definitely hire him again.

Smoothly and with little effort on my part

I called in the AM and was scheduled for same day remote service. My computer was slower and the project took almost 4 hours but Mike has a 2 hour cap for his per hour rate to completely clean all viruses and malware. He was very thorough and educational. I highly recommend his service.

Well. The computer runs much more quickly after the tuneup. Booted up quicker and is lightning fast surfing the web.

Mike performed the necessary work remotely which was important to me since I am physically limited as far as disconnecting everything and getting the computer to an on-site facility. Although I would do this if necessary, it would be a painful task. Mike explained his work via landline as he performed his work. Mike was pleasant & professional to work with & I intend to contact him again to work on a software program.

It didn't go because I am only ratings this. For the fact of being with Angie's List for 5 years and have a A rating.

Very good service and very Professional

I purchased his coupon and he remotely accessed my laptop but left for long periods of time even when the tests he was performing were complete. But he did stay over the hour by about 15 mins. He eventually told me that it had too many viruses and that running a software to delete them would take several hours. I think he should have seen that right away and not charged me. I could have purchased software to tell me the same for very little and had the software remove the viruses. It was a waste of time and money. He should have a disclaimer regarding viruses so people know ahead of time he won't be able to fix the viruses. I've always had virus protection so I don't understand why it had so many viruses.
