It went great, from the time Ed had to dig the faucet out from the mortar (didn't take more than he needed to) to re-attaching the hose to the new faucet. He did a GREAT job!.

Contacted J&H April 7th. Technician was at my house within two hours. I described what I needed to have done (Kitchen sink & faucet), asked a question about a 'splash-back' issue with the disposal and he advised that the disposal was partially frozen and should be replaced (all items in question 10+ years old). Was called the following week (April 13th) with estimate, asked to give deposit and was advised that parts would be available within days. Received call morning of April 15th - all parts available and work could be done later that morning. Since no one would be home, and J&H could not schedule for that afternoon, work scheduled for April 18th. Received a called that morning and was advised that technician was in transit. He arrived a few minutes after 8AM and was finished by 10:30. Very professional, thorough, clean, courteous & friendly.

We just happened to have a very expensive tap that's been put in. We didn't know what the make of it was and it didn't say what make it was. We had a little bit of misinterpretation problem with the cartridge that prevented from turning itself on. When we found out the value of the tap we decided that we wouldn't replace it and we would get a cartridge. A little confusion there and once we got it straightened they came back in and got the part for us. When they were here they did an excellent job. I think I paid a fair bit because the amount of time he had to go up to the outlet, find out what the part was and what the make was and he had to order it. I could have compared the price if I had three people come out and give me a quote. Quality of the work they did was excellent. Other than this one little problem that we had where I thought he wasn't doing it as far as ordering the part, his responsiveness is excellent.

Very quick response. Paul was friendly and professional. The work took most of the day (~10am-4pm), but we ended up getting a lot of little things replaced. A lot of the time was that he had to run out for a part. I didn't mind since the part he was replacing had been chiseled down and hammered into place to force it to fit. In other words, my problem was caused by not having the right part/tools in the first place, so waiting for the right part was no problem. I feel like I got some quality work done for a reasonable price. The leak is gone, the toilet doesn't run, and the main water shutoff is very nice with a new 90deg valve rather than the original 1986 valve that you had to turn 20+ times. Would recommend these guys to anyone.

I would not hesitate to call on them again for service, Jesse was friendly and did a fantastic job. I just moved into this home and it needed quite a bit of replacement work. Jesse was a person to be trusted in giving the type of service that I was looking for.

He had a good price and did a great job.

We have hot water for the first time. Even with the new hot water heater, we still didn't have hot water, it was warm. J & H determined when the house was built, the hot water pipe fed into the cold water. The plumber was able to locate were the original error was made and re-piped it. The plumber also rerouted the pipe which was leaking in the slab, and fixed the stuck valve.

The plumbing was done excellent and just bought a new house and will use them again.

I was disappointed because they sent out a 'service technician' to do this work. The last time I used them a plumber came out and noticed other issues besides the one I called about. I was happy that he noticed and repaired these other problems in 2002. It saved me headache down the road. This technician came out to do just the work I requested and charged the same amount as a plumber for labor. I was hoping he would drain the water heater while the bathroom work was being done. He waited until the bathroom was done then started on the heater, charging me about another hour of labor just to drain the water heater. I won't ask for that again.

Each time we have called J&H, they have been very kind, and have shown up as promised, and have always been very professional, courteous and attentive to our needs. YES, we will and have already recommended J&H to many other, and will continue to do so.

He told me what he was doing and why, and showed my kids what he was doing as well. Jon is the nicest guy, and very competent as well. I recommend him to everyone. I even recommended him to my father-in-law! The service level was top-notch, as was the work performed. I only wish A+ was an option for grading J&H Plumbing.

Technician arrived exactly on time, assessed problem, gave cost estimate and time expected for repair, retrieved necessary supplies from truck, pulled toilet, repaired ring and reinforced it, reset toilet, cleaned up and was gone in a little over two hours. Completely professional!

I chose this company due to the positive reviews posted here - but my experience was far from similar. First I was promised that the w.softener would take only two days - it took four and I had to reschedule a number of other contracters due to the delay. Other issues include: 1. the line to the refrigerator was not cleared - it stopped working in about 30 seconds - they had to come back and fix; 2. the washer was completely hooked up wrong and wouldnt work - both input and output water valves were wrong - this is basic stuff - I re-did it the right way myself in about 4 minutes. 3. they didnt hook up the stove due to an electrical need - not their issue but I was not credited back this amount and had to pay another contractor. The most disturbing thing occured after an unpleasant call I made to complain about the substandard work on the washer, which ended with an assurance that a supervisor would call me. Instead a message was left stating that a J&H employee would be right by to take a look. I immediately called them and told them NOT to send someone by as they could not get into the space given that the electrician was working in it -and I was not feeling well. I was told that I had previously demanded that someone come by immediately - really? creative liberty? About 20 minutes later a man WALKED AROUND MY HOUSE THROUGH THE GATE TO MY BACKDOOR AND JUST WALKED IN MY HOUSE WITHOUT KNOCKING! I was simply appalled. He aknowledged that he knew I had asked that he not come to my house but persisted on begging me to allow them to make it right. It took me about 5-10 minutes to get him out of my house. This was so unprofessional I am at a loss for words. Today, I had another licensed plumber out to fix my drain in the bathroom. I asked him to take a look at the gas pipe work done. He told me it was a very poorly done job. I have to admit it looks bad - but as someone who is not a professional and because the work is behind appliances, I would have never known. I am going to have to have it redone correctly so the wall can be closed. I am posting a picture of the pipe as it now exposed behind the dryer and reversed back to the other side of the wall to supply the stove. Well have to see on the water softener. This was a very unpleasant experience and despite all of the positive reviews, I personally would NOT recommend them to anyone. If you use them, have someone knowledgable around to ensure the work is done properly and of the quality implied by the price.

Repairs went well. Employee did forget to replace metal lid to meter box which, since left open, presented a hazard to anyone walking in the yard who may have stepped into the hole and did result in minor damage to grass underneath the cover (heat killed small spot of grass underneath lid due to extreme summer heat) before I noticed the lid and not been placed back over the box. Damage was minor and no one was injured.

My overall impression of J & H Plumbing is exceptional. They answered my questions, offered to secure information from a tenant with documentation, and made the service telephone call immediately.

showed up on Tuesday and did not have the part to repair the PVC. said he would be back at 9 am. arrived at 1 pm. Finished the initial repair on the pvc by 2:30 and left. I went out and looked and the hole was still filling with water. I called and he came back. he found that the original part he had put in in Feb had been leaking. then he replaced it and left. total cost 750.00

This is a very professional company from the individual answering the phone (Jenna??) to the service manager (Jesse) to the technicians (Jesse & Paul). They were very prompt and the office kept me informed of their projected arrival times. The first time I called to set up an appt. was after 5:00pm and I received a call back from the technician within 10 minutes and he was actually willing to make a service call that evening if needed. The work was performed efficiently and within the estimate/bid. I had purchased a toilet that turned out to have a tiny leak (in the ceramic) and it took a lot of trouble shooting to discover the cause of the leak. Thus, I had to have them return a few times and each time they cleaned up after themselves and promptly got the job done. If I had it to do over again, I probably would have purchased a Toto toilet from them instead of procuring one from my local home improvement store since it ended up costing me as much as a Toto. Overall, my face to face experience with Jesse and Paul was excellent and I would not hesitate to use them again. They are personable and do excellent work. Sam

Overall - service was excellent! Paul was very prompt and had excellent knowledge of the repairs required at the house. He made some recommendations and repaired items that were not on the original list. Paul was very pleasant and friendly. We will definitely have J&H do additional work when required and recommend to all our friends.

What I thought was my water heater going kaput, it was actually a hot water pipe bursting under my mobile home on a Friday evening. Eddie of J&H came out on Saturday and gave me an estimate after mucking around in the mud under my mobile home. Then on Sunday, a cold water pipe burst. Eddie returned on Monday, the 15th to repair not only the hot water pipe, but the newly busted cold water pipe. He couldn't have been nicer or more professional. The company was fast in their initial response on Saturday and by 2:30 on Monday, I finally had water after a weekend of no water. I would use J&H again in a heartbeat. Thanks to Eddie and J&H!

They arrived on time and completed the work quickly. However, we couldn?t use the sink right away because the drain basket and garbage disposal were sealed with adhesive caulking. We were told to wait until the white caulking turned clear and then we could use the sink. After about 12 hours, the white caulking finally dried out and turned clear. However, when we used the sink and got the caulking wet, the sealant quickly disintegrated, melted away, and caused the drain basket to leak below the sink. When they came out to fix the leak, they again used the same caulking (DAP Kwik Seal Tub and Tile Adhesive Caulk Clear) to seal the drain basket. This time we waited over the weekend ? more than three days - to use the sink, hoping that the caulking would cure properly. Well, when we used the sink after the second visit by the plumber, the sealant again failed and another drain leak occurred right away. After consulting with other plumbers, I was told that latex caulking should not be used to seal drain baskets on granite composite sinks, but rather stainless plumbers putty designed for these types of sinks (ex. Hercules Sta Put Ultra Stainless Plumbers Putty). Or, as a last resort, 100% silicone sealant could be used. We decided to have another plumber repair the leak and install the proper sealant because J&H apparently did not know how to properly seal granite composite sinks. The sink now works fine after being properly sealed. Another problem was that they didn?t remove our old sink right away. We were told that they would come back later in the day to pick it up, but it wasn?t until the following Tuesday that they finally got around to removing our old sink (work was done on Friday). I didn?t give an ?F? rating only because the rest of the sink installation was done quickly and professionally?except for the drain leak. Because of their lack of expertise, however, I wouldn?t recommend using this company!

Serviceman friendly, listened well, diagnosed problems nearly instantly, and fixed them without difficulty. The service was excellent, efficient, and competitively priced. Would definitely use plumbing service company again.

I was here from out of state and had a serious injury and in order to be released from the hospital the home I was staying at needed to have some modifications done in the bathroom in order to meet my needs. I had used J & H Plumbing prior to leaving in 1995 and because of my trust and confidence in them all those many years before, they were who we called. Jon came immediately and advised us of different options, He immediately modified some things that night to make it comfortable and usable for me and still maintain the beauty of it as the main bathroom used by family and guests. I cannot say enough about this company's Integrity, honesty and reliability. As a widow, & moving back to Arizona, not only do I trust them with all my plumbing needs but I turn to Jon & Jesse for referrals and recommendations for other services. You may get cheaper, but you will never get better. I would, and do, highly recommend them.

J & H Plumbing was very punctual, professional and we would highly recommend them! They were clean, neat and great about making sure everything was protected while doing the job. They were very helpful with advice & keeping costs down for us. We have also used them for our rental homes and they are the only company we would call for any future work needed. If you are looking for an honest, affordable company that does a great job, then you've found them!
