The inspector, Scott, was great. He did a very thorough job which lasted about 3 hours. He looked at everything we agreed upon and made note of everything he found in detail. This is exactly what I was looking for in an inspection. Now I have a checklist of home improvement items from his list and there was nothing major wrong with the house which was a plus. Scott did an outstanding job. He was prompt, professional, and thorough. It was money well spent because I passed on the house once I learned through the inspection that it was going to cost me about $25,000 in unexpected repairs.

In the first home inspection, Scott picked up areas 34 areas that needed to be repaired to get the house ready for closing. Some of these areas included the exterior stucco windows, missing window hardware, exterior door frames and windows that needed to be caulked properly, oversized breakers in the electric panel, disconnected gas lines in the furnace, lose duct work HVAC system, inadequate support for shower pan in the master bedroom, minor damage to the drywall inside the house, damage to the cabinet draws in the kitchen, damaged and bent window tracks inside the house, and other additional items which would be too cumbersome to list Scott came back a second time to check the gas lines to the furnace, which were still not connected after being informed that they were repaired, and thus was not able to perform the thermal imaging of the homes insulation. After the builder agreed to pay for his third inspection to the house; the gas lines to the furnace were finally repaired. Additionally, in the final inspection, Scott also noticed that the dish washer was not secured at all to the kitchen cabinet. All of the items Scott picked up in his prior home inspections were repaired by the builder, and I was able to close on the house. I want to thank Scott for his diligence in inspecting the home, and he is a true professional who takes his home inspections seriously. Scott also took the time to call me before the initial inspection and answer any questions I had concerning the process, or certain items which concerned me. The only mistake I made was not hiring Scott to inspect the entire building process, which I learned was possible after meeting with him. I strongly recommend that if you are building a new home, hire Scott to inspect the entire building process; it is money well spent to have a professional looking out for your best interests.

I found Homewerx on Angie's list, and called them due to the reviews of other members. Scott arrived at the home a few minutes early, and was waiting for us when we arrived. As this is my first home purchase, I was a bit nervous. He checked areas and items that I would have never considered. Also, I kept asking questions along the way, which he answered. I wondered on more than one occasion if I was bothering him with all the questions, but he was always pleasant, and a few times he commented that "it was a good question". If there were any issues, he discussed them with us. Even minor issues were mentioned. He spent over 3 hours doing the inspection. The report was provided to us as promised (less than 48 hours). I must say that he was incredibly thorough in his report and inspection. Plus he provided us with a schedule for routine maintenance and recommended repairs. I would recommend them.

I called about 5 days prior to the appointment and they were able to schedule me for the desired day. I was running behind and arrived about 15 minutes late. Scott was already hard at work inspecting the roof. He came down and introduced himself and told me to holler if I had any questions whatsoever. Scott did a wonderful job of being accessible throughout his inspection. He answered all of my questions extremely thoroughly and pointed out items that would likely need repair over time and those needing immediate attention. He took me through each phase of his inspection, from the exterior and concerns like the slope of my yard and drainage to an internal infrared analysis of the home's insulation and how effective the heating and cooling systems were operating. He really went above and beyond my expectations and he was very personable and pleasant to interact with. The estimate was spot on and he honored my coupon, despite me not printing one out for him. I will definitely work with Homewerx again.

Homewerx did a great job. They spent about 9 hours inspecting this building and did a thorough job. The report was detailed and just what I needed to be confident in purchasing the building.

Scott spent extra time going over detailed explanations of function and maintenance of the House and systems. He also provided a pest and pool inspection at the same time. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a home inspection.

Scott Hubbard arrived on time to look over my roof. When he was done, he gave me a thorough, verbal list of suggestions. (My only complaint would be that this list was not followed up in writing.) The charge was as quoted. Overall, a positive experience.

Overall, the process went quite well. In retrospect, I wish that I had engaged Scott to perform an on-going inspection from commencement of construction to delivery by the builder. Some of the problems the builder left us with could possibly have been avoided or rectified during construction.

I was on a short time frame to get the inspection done and Scott was able to fit me into his schedule. He was very thorough and took the time to explain what needed immediate attention and what could wait. He also did a termite and pool inspection (small additional charge) so I was able to get everything done at once. He was extremely detailed and left no stone unturned. Excellent website and very helpful on the telephone. Inspection was thorough and performed by the owner who talked us through everything as he went through it. His report was fantastic. Listed condition of EVERYTHING, had pictures of all the problems, sent it by e-mail which made it easy to forward to different contractors, realtor, etc. When I had workmen out, I just showed them the report and then they knew exactly what was needed. So helpful and time saving.

When I called to get a quote they were the best price of 3 different companies, plus they gave an AL discount. They worked with the seller's realtor to schedule the inspection and informed me when it would start and how long it should take and when they thought the best time for me to show up, if I so desired to. When I showed up, Scott greeted me and told me that he worked for me and and asked if there was anything in-particular that I want he to focus on. After Scott finished, he walked me around the house to show me what he found and gave me advice on the simpler things to fix. After telling him that I had never owned a pool, Scott took the time to go over the basic operations and maintenance. I received the complete and very thorough report (including pictures of issues) within 48 hours of the inspection.

They did a complete inspection of our house. I wasn?t here when they came. However my wife seemed very pleased with them. As far as I know they did a pretty good job and were courteous. I believe they were right on time.

I have purchased many homes during my life and had them all inspected. This has been the best, most complete, and professional inspection ever. Scott is very thorough and took all the time I needed to ask questions and explain flaws. He even owns a very expensive FLIR thermal image device that he used to find heat/cooling loss. He's a real pro and takes his job seriously.

Scott showed up a few minutes early. He was very thorough. He checked every faucet and drain. He check the irrigation system. He checked the roof. He check the A/C and the furnace. He checked every outlet. I followed him around and asked questions. He was very informative and answered all my questions. He used his infrared camera to check for proper insulation. He was able to detect a leak in the duct work between the first and second floors. They matched a competitor's price via their "low price guarantee." It took him about 3 hours.
