Mike from Black Hat was super patient with us as we were learning how to use our new security system. He was able to answer all of our questions and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable with how to operate everything. Black Hat has been great to work with and the options provided have been fantastic.

I have had the Best experience with the technicians who have come to my house to both install and follow up on an issues. I had both Mike and Landon at my home both are respectful, professional and someone I felt very comfortable installing my security system in my home. I liked them so much I have also had them put a security system in my office too!

The installation was great by JD. And first few months were great until the thermostat malfunctioned while I was on vacation and ran up an $800 electric bill. My sons & I left in July on a 30 day road trip, during which time I shut off my AC. A short time into our travel, the person watching my cat said the house was cold and that the AC was running - he texted me a picture of the thermostat reading 54 degrees. I looked Black Hat Security app and my app showed the system was off. But clearly something was wrong because it as 54 degrees inside and 107 outside. I called Cameron Bawden the owner of Black Hat Security and he said to send an electrician/AC guy out, Cameron assured me that if it were the thermostat's error he would replace and take care of the electric bill. I did at my own expense and it was discovered the thermostat was faulty. The AC tech called Cameron of Black Hat and told him so. Cameron called me and said he needed second opinion so I called my Home Warranty and they sent out a third party vendor who verified the same thing. Cameron's response? I'm not paying electric bill ($800). My response? well then credit me $800 as the total monthly payment I make to Black Hat is over $300 a month with all properties combined. What did Cameron do? He shut off all accounts without notice. This might not seem like a big deal, but let me tell you what that means. I have guests paying $150-250 a night that immediately had no AC. The Alarm.com app that services the thermostats to is controlled electronically and the panels are actually disabled. This means, the guests cannot adjust the temperature - and can only be done through the app. When Cameron shut off my accounts, it shut off all thermostats and guests were without AC. I immediately called and begged Cameron to restore services saying I did not cancel. He refused. Now without any further communication or bill in 4 months-I receive a collection demand for over $6000. Shame on you Cameron - first ruin my income stream & now my credit?

After having to make multiple calls to get a quote, their employee came out to our business and was heard by the owner laughing with someone who had been hired to complete a job. The laughter was about a remark that since there was no installed camera surveillance currently how easy it would be to steal from our store. I have waited a couple weeks to post this as I wanted to see what they were recommending for security HOWEVER I never received this quote. Their employee came to our retail store and instead of bringing it to our attention laughed at the idea of how easy theft would be. Sound like a company you want to trust with your security? A company you trust to secure your businesses lively hood and protect your family?? A security company should protect their clients and you would think provide a quote if asked...not just scope a place out!!!

The process was seamless from start to finish. Landon (the installer) was great! He was professional, funny, personable and knowledgeable. Courtney (at the main office) said to expect 4 hours for the install, but it only took 2 1/2 hrs. Landon explained everything to me in detail. I had absolutely no questions unanswered. We even set off the alarm to hear how loud it gets. Grant it, it's only been a few hours since installation, but I feel very confident that my family is safe and secure now with this alarm system.

Hands down the best Security Crew EVER!!! I have never felt more safe in my home than I have with Black Hat!!! Huge shout out to Cameron, JD And Cody!! The knowledge, professionalism, and respect these guys portray is unmatched. I called Black Hat right after there was theft in my neighborhood. They immediately came out to my home , installed sensors at all of my doors, a motion sensor in my home, a new thermostat (that I can control from my phone!) and a touch screen panel to control everything from the home. They have much more to offer but I chose what I felt was right for me. Not long after installation my neighbor came down to my house while we were out of town to drop off one of our amazon packages:) Needless to say they are so used to just walking in they forgot we had the alarm set. So she didn't know the code to shut it off. Next thing you know a women starts talking through the control panel to my neighbor asking who she is and was requesting the security passcode. Since at the time we did not give my neighbors the password the lady stopped the alarm. However , I immediately received a call to my cell phone letting me know there was possibly a break in at my home. She asked me if I knew who it was , asked me security questions and let me know there was already an officer on his way to my home. So even though we were safe and had no concerns with it being my neighbor the rapidness to get someone to my home for help was incredible!!! My only regret is that I didn't call SOONER!!! Thank you so much Black Hat for making me feel so safe!!! (Especially being a spouse to a traveling Sales Rep!) I have and continue to recommend them to everyone I know!!! THANK YOU BLACK HAT!!!!!

Perfect! The installer was very efficient and helpful! The customer service from the office staff was awesome, very easy to get a hold of and very friendly! We have been loving our new system!
