We have a tilt up garage door and, due to the addition of cabinets, cannot easily add a roll up door. Our tilt up bent and would not work properly. We were resigned to have to make major changes in order to add a roll up door but thought we would give this company a shot at fixing the door. Not only did they fix the door but they identified and fixed the problem. Our door operates better than it has since 1991 when we first bought the home. We will not use any other company in the future. They will get our business for repairs or for a new door.

Our garage door was only rising about a foot before it would stop. Instead of messing around with the springs I called Tim. I work during the day so he went out of his way to coordinate a time that worked best for me to swing back home to meet him. He was very professional and knows his craft very well. He provided a detailed yet easy-to-understand explanation and gave me a few options with pros and cons. At a very reasonable cost he then made the repairs which consisted of replacing the spring, replacing the rollers, and making some aesthetic improvements within an hour. I would recommend ?A Better Garage Door Company? to anyone as it is not often you find the perfect combination of knowledge and professionalism at a reasonable cost.

The owner came did such a great job !!! I just had Door Doctor West 4 months ago lube and fix it and it was not working after only 4 months. He came and put the original lube for the door and even changed the light bulbs!!!! Love it!!!! He even tightened everything and re oiled. Great!!

The owner of the company showed up on very short notice. He had a good knowledge of my particular garage door. He replaced both springs, lubricated the door and checked the safety systems. He was very personable.

I called A better Garage Door Company and after only two rings someone answered the phone in a very pleasant manner. I told them that one of the springs was in two pieces and that I needed new springs. The technician arrived promptly on the time specified, he looked very neat and was very friendly but professional. He asked me not to open the garage door until he had checked everything thoroughly, to avoid any possible accident. He had all the equipment he needed including the replacement parts on his truck. After his evaluation of the repairs necessary, he gave me a detailed estimate and answered my questions in a very patient way. He replaced both springs on the garage door opener, lubricated the tracks and thoroughly checked the operation. I now have a garage door opener that works almost silently, where as before it was very noisy. As a curtesy, he replaced one of the ceiling lightbulbs - "because he had the ladder right there". I was impressed, Customer Service is written in capital letters by this company. I would not hesitate to recommend A Better Garage Door Company at any time.

Tim came and checked out my garage door opener. Gave me a few different options. I decided to replace the unit. Tim gave me a good and even replaced a few rollers just cause he saw they were worn and didn't even charge me. Tim was very personable and I would use him again.

A Better Garage Door Company was excellent to work with. First, I had to reschedule the appointment and their customer service people were great to work with and even called me back to reschedule. The service tech arrived during the promised time window and performed the work in short order. He reviewed with me what service he performed and at what intervals to perform future service to the door. The result is excellent: Nylon rollers, lubrication to rollers and drive screw means a quit and smooth operating garage door! This is well worth $99, in my opinion.

They were great. They did an excellent job. They were on time. I had some additional work that I wanted to have done. They stayed till it was finished. I would call them back without a problem.

One of my garage doors was extremely noising when opening and closing. I called another company before calling A Better Garage Door Co. Unfortunately, I looked this company up on Angie's List after I called to set up the appt. and their rating for pricing was a B. They came and within 5 minutes I was told the job would cost approx. $500. I stated I did not want to use their service. Then I called A Better Garage Door Company. Tim was able to come out the same day and was very professional. After checking out the door, he stated that the total cost including labor would be $145. plus tax. This was less than a third of the first estimate and the garage door is as good as new. Thank you Tim for the great service.

Tim (the owner of A Better Garage Door Company) was great to work with! I found him to be professional, competent, and honest. He replaced my garage door opener with a more professional and quieter model. He explained how to use the new opener and answered all my questions. He also provided me with the additional remotes that I requested. I love my new garage door opener. I will most definitely use A Better Garage Door Company for future service as well as highly recommend them to others.

Javier was extremely efficient, courteous and knowledgeable. He took the time to answer each question and completed the installation extremely well. He even had to redo some wiring as we realized that the door opener came with a surge protector. We are very impressed with this company and their service technician, Javier, and would definitely use them in the future!!!

Showed up at the agreed upon time, inspected damage, fabricated reinforced attachment and repaired hinge. Lubricated, checked reverse settings, checked second garage door, lubricated, and provided me with a tube of lubricant for future use. Repaired non-working light and provided new light bulb. Only charged the basic call-out amount, and fixed everything... Highly recommend!

Our garage door would not open for my wife on thursday evening. I called on Thursday night, and by friday morning, the newer, better Garage Door opener was installed and working! He aarived ON TIME (actually a few minutes early), got right to work and was done in about 1 hour. I would and have reccommended these guys.

We had a fantastic experience with this company and would certainly hire them again and/or refer them to others. Our request was responded to within 24 hours and the work was performed within 48 hours. The price was exactly as quoted (not to mention reasonable) and our garage was how we had left it...we couldn't tell anyone had been there! This was a big deal to us given the fact that we've had many contractors perform work on the house over the years and almost all of them would leave some remnants of their visit.....but not this company! Very satisfied with the work performed and the time-frame in which it was completed.

Door openers no longer worked. We checked Angie's List for a reputable garage repair company and chose A Better Garage Door Company, Inc. The serviceman was punctual and had the part available on his truck. He replaced the logic board, fixed the nuts and bolts on the door frame, and reprogrammed our door openers. I would definitely call this company again. The serviceman was friendly and efficient and we have working door remotes again!!! We also received Angies List discount.

I had damaged my garage door the other morning by closing it with sometning in the way on one side which skewed the door. I got the name of this company via our realtor and followed up with Angie's List. The person answering the phone (Shelly maybe) was quite quick to respond and a very positive person. She indicated that they should be able to have someone out later that afternoon but need to check. She called shortly after and arranged a time for later that day. The gentleman that responded (Javier) was very curteous, on time and professional. He took a few extra moments to do some quick routine maintenence and spend some time explaining to me some of the features to watch for in order to ensure good operation. Overall an outstanding experience!

They did a great job. Were professional, timely and easy to coordinate with. In fact we referred them to my mother in law and she has an appointment for a Garage Door Tune up as well.

It went great overall. Didn't take long for the repairs and it cost less than I expected. The only bad part was I forgot to use the coupon I printed!!!

Javier arrived as scheduled about 1 PM on 5/11 and removed the failed Genie opener and its collateral components. He then began installing the Chamberlain LiftMaster Professional Premium Series Model 3280M-267 1/2 HP belt drive opener which included a garage wall multi-function control panel, two Security + 3-button remote control units for our 2 cars, and a wireless externally-mounted PIN-controlled keypad for garage access without the need for a remote control [e.g., after morning jog]. Installation went smoothly and Javier described what he was doing throughout installation. Upon completion and after several test cycles for opening/closing, Javier took me through basic operations and how to make certain adjustments to the unit, if necessary, during initial usage until everything settles in. He also had me set the PIN for the wireless external keypad. The unit comes with a 1-year overall limited warranty, plus a lifetime motor and belt drive limited warranty for the residence in which the unit is originally installed. Payment by credit card is acceptable. I was very satisfied with the entire process and certainly commend the company for their responsiveness, overall service and pleasant and well-qualified employees. As Javier speculated, I did have to make a minor adjustment to the Force controls for opening and closing the door about a week after installation. His earlier walk through for me of basic adjustments, as well as instructions in the Owner's Manual, made this a simple process. I've had no problems since.

Javier checked out the system for me and on finding a little stem growing past the garage door close to the lred light concluded that this was most likely what was causing the problem since everything else was in order . He then explained a bit of maintance and what to check for. Very helpful all in all.
