The garage door was lubricated, but it didn't need anything else, as new springs were installed a year ago. A Better Garage Door does a great job!

These guys are great. They show up on time, they don't give you the hard upsell, they are professional, quick and nice. The garage door spring broke on our door. Unfortunately they couldn't get to us until the next day (this is a small company, there are only 2 technicians, one of whom is the owner), but they were the most reasonably-priced and kept their committment to get out there when they said they'd get there. They did sugest (and I agreed to) switching from a single spring to a double spring (it's a double garage door) and if I recall the additional cost was only about $40 and the anticipated lifetime goes up by over 50%. (I forgot the total cost so I left that blank in this review) Anyone who can think beyond tomorrow recognizes a good tradeoff like that. Before we found this company, we had tried a few different companies. We've used them either 4 or 5 tiems now on 3 different priperties now. On the phone, all of the garage door companies sound like they cost is about the same....and EVERY single one of them except these guys tries for a hard upsell into the $500-$700 range once they are there. These guys are honest, decent, and they shoot straight. They'll even show you what parts are broken when they are done. We have a business in an different industry where the industry as a whole has a somewhat tainted reputation, so I appreciate people that are willing to do good work for a fair price, don't try to gouge a customer simply because they dont' know any better, and just try to be fair and decent to people. A Better Garage Door Company absolutely fits that bill and they have my loyalty as a customer as a result.

Showed up when scheduled and completed the job quickly. Seems to be working smoother and quieter.

Good work and very professional. Tuned up my 60 year old garage door, and didn't try to sell me on a new one that isn't necessary.

GREAT JOB with very professional and knowledgeable staff

The owner of the company does the work himself. He immediately knew what the problem with getting the garage door to open was. He replace the defective part and performed preventive maintenance on the opener worm gear and the rails. In addition, at no cost, he replace the garage door open button which determined was not working properly. When it is time for a new garage door and/or opener A Better Garage Door will be on the top of the list for getting the business.

Tim was great! Good communication and updates on arrival time. Completed the job in a timely manner. Went above and beyond and lubricated the door and even replaced a light bulb at no extra charge.

It was good. They did a good job. The pricing was fair.

It was good but it didn't cover what the deal covered. They gave me credit for it, but there was more wrong with the garage than the deal would have covered. They charged us more but it was worth it because I looked at other deals, they charge $250 for about $350 worth of work. They were very professional, very courteous and very nice people.

It went fine with them. They did everything exactly as advertised. The garage is sounding better and he told me I really didn’t need anything else done so I was happy with what they provided. The guy who came out I have some questions about whether my garage needed a new bottom fill and he told me this was an older garage door and they no longer need those seals for that door and he described what we would have to be put a seal in it and it seems to be not worth it, and he told me that the sealing was just fine. My concern was keeping scorpions and rodents out of there. From what he said the sealing is good as it can, he didn’t see to go ahead so. I like his honesty, he didn’t try to upsell me anything and perform the $99 service and that was pretty much it.

That tuned out well. They came out within a week after I purchased the Big Deal. One technician came out and he did what he said he was going to do. He rechecked the belt and changed a light bulb for us also.

When he came he stated I had an over-sized door which would cost extra, but I explained that that was not listed in the deal, and he ended up not charging extra for that. He kind of exchanged the deal. It was for rollers but he said I didn't need rollers for my problem. I needed a new gear box, so he did that in its place and charged about $40 more.

The technician arrived well within the appointment window and called beforehand to let me know his arrival time. He was very pleasant and got straight on with the job even though the house is in chaos due to a remodeling project, with contractors in and out all the time. He was done within 30 minutes or so. I would be happy to use them again.

It went fine. The guy was very nice and it was a very positive experience. If I have another garage door problem, I would not hesitate to call him again.

I think they did a fine job. They showed up on time. They did the work and they put what I need that was promised.

Replaced garage door opener. They did a great job.

I called the company on Thursday and was told that Tim could come out the next day. He called at 8 o'clock the next morning and told me he would be there about 8:30. He was right on time. After looking at my 18 year old opener, he told me he could fix it but he recommended a new one due to its age . He took the time to explain to me the choices available and after consideration, I elected to go with the new opener. Tim took about 1 1/2 hours to complete the job and the door is very quiet. I am very satisfied with this company and Tim's expertise .

Serviced my garage door. Replaced rollers and hinges. Serviced automatic opener. Owner was on time, professional, knowledgeable,advised me of need for new door. Would recommend them and have them again. |However, though no fault of theirs, my door will no longer open.

The provider was prompt and quickly completed the services covered in the Big Deal. He also replaced the safety sensors that were being affected by the sunlight and replaced the metal beam at the top of the door. He stayed longer than he expected in order to complete the additional work. I really appreciated the extra effort. The garage door works great and is so quiet. It now closes every time, not just when the sun is in the exact correct spot - Awesome!

Highly recommend A Better Garage Door Company. From the initial contact to the completion of the job every aspect was excellent. Though already scheduled Tim called ahead to inform me of when he would arrive. The initial deal service was done expeditiously and professionally. When Tim was adjusting the tension spring it broke. In twenty years he said it was his maybe his fourth. He is very safety conscience and it shows. He suggested I install two springs as the one I had was working too hard. I was only charged for the two springs plus the "Angie's List Deal". Very satisfied. . The garage door operates excellently.

Could not be happier - gave me alternatives with various costs. Knew the answers to all my questions.

Service was completed as promised by the ad in Angie's List. Provider was professional and courteous. I recommend this provider to all who need garage door installation or maintenance.
