Bobby made sure all of the boards I marked were replaced. He also worked with me in a test area to ensure I was comfortable with the finish color. I had similar work done in the back half of the home about 10 years ago. The side-by-side comparison is remarkable - Midwest Flooring's work is clearly superior. "Extremely poor flooring installation. No quarter round installed where doors meet the floor. gaps between planks. large caps under door corners. Flooring is not level, there is clear surface weave. flooring Bubels up in places so when you step down it moved a quarter inch before it touches the subfloor. Stair treads came unglued. Large stains where something must have etched the surface finish. You wouldn't believe this was new flooring that was installed by a "professional". The company is also incredibly hard to get ahold of. I have been trying to get warranty repairs complete and I get crickets. If all this was not enough, they also installed shower surround tile that is falling off after less than a year. Poor workmanship, worse customer service."

"DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. Disgustingly unprofessional and frustrating from day one. A lack of communication led to the first crew leaving without telling us anything. The next day, we're told the floor has to acclimate so they can't do any work until the next day. After that, one guy shows up to start tearing up the floor (there were supposed to be 2 because there was large furniture to move). He finds a large crack in the concrete and says we have to get it filled before they can do the floor. We get the crack filled, and then one installer comes back and says he can't do the floor now because the concrete is not flat. We were told to fill the crack, not that it had to be flat. Why can't a business whose specialty is flooring handle something like grinding concrete? I would think that fixing a likely very common issue would be within the scope of a flooring installation. The installer upset me so badly that I had to ask him to leave. After this, I told Empire I was requesting a refund so I could hire another company that would actually do the work, including smoothing the concrete. I had to fight with them for almost a week before I finally got the refund. The second company not only smoothed the floor, but installed the floor and baseboards and moved all the large furniture in two days. It looks absolutely stunning. There is no reason a supposedly 'reputable' company like Empire couldn't have done just as good a job as this local company. Instead, they were too busy being uncommunicative, unprofessional, and just plain rude. Do not waste your time and money on this company, and hire literally anyone else."

"We had a very negative experience with this company and the owner Bill Palladino directly. The good: • I called on Wednesday, February 19, 2022, and we were able to coordinate a time the following Saturday for the spring cleaning before our out of town guests arrived. • The 2 young men that came to clean our house were on time and very pleasant • The living room carpet was thoroughly vacuumed & looked great The bad: • The mirrors were all streaked • The hard floors were not clean at all, the dirt was smeared around, and dirt was left in nearly every corner • Every horizontal surface had dust left on them, we could see where they dusted partially but not thoroughly as one would expect a spring cleaning to be • The carpet in the kitchen didn’t appear to have been vacuumed at all • My first grade grandson could have done a better job, this cleaning job failed on so many levels • The house smelled like dirty old grease rags for days after they left The worst: • The exorbitant cost of $250 for the poor job of cleaning • After I emailed the owner Bill Palladino on February 27, 2022, giving him the opportunity to make it right before I posted flaming reviews online I received a phone call. Right from the onset he was VERY aggressive, and unbelievably unprofessional. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. • He questioned & stated: o “Why didn’t you call instead of email? o “Why did you wait 10 days to contact me?” o Neither of which I thought were any of his business, but I explained our out of town guests flew in on Saturday, February 19, 2022, we were busy having fun with them, and I messaged as soon as I could after they left. o I chose to email rather than call because I didn’t want to end up in a conversation with some excuse making, unprofessional person with bad behavior. Which is exactly what I experienced. I put him on speaker phone so my husband could hear the conversation as well. o He also stated that I threatened him in the email and he will have his attorney contact me. Which I did not, and will retain the email and text interactions for future reference. o I advised him that I can post an accurate review if I so choose as I have freedom of speech, and he was not going to bully me to stop me from doing so. o He stated he’s from New York and has been in business for 34 years and never had an problem. (That’s really hard to believe after listening to him) • Bill Palladino continued to ramble, yell and be rude saying “We know where you live.” • I finally said “this conversation is over!” & hung up. • BEWARE OF DOING BUSINESS WITH SO CALLED PROFESSIONALs WITH IRRATIC BEHAVIOR"
