Golden's Good Air

I had contacted Golden's Good Air and told them my husband hired Echo Rehab to blow in new insulation in our home. He didn't know that Echo Rehab also cleaned our air ducts which was included with the new insulation. We don't need Golden's services. Golden's Good Air told me that it is no problem with them. They told me to contact Angie's List for a refund. Their good attitude has convinced me to hire Golden's in the future. Presently the refund is really appreciated!

It was great. At first I thought it seemed expensive. I didn't realize how comprehensive their service was. Two people worked for about 3 hours. I was very impressed at how thorough their service was. Our air is much cleaner. Definitely worth the money.

Our dryer was taking too long to dry clothing. For example it took two cycles to dry towels. It turned out the outside vent had been damaged and was one reason that the drying time was taking much too long. Additionally the among of lint coming out of each load was extremely coarse and was filling the filter to capacity. After fixing the outside vent and cleaning out the inside of the dryer the drying time was reduced by two-thirds and the amount of lint on the filter was reduced by almost eighty percent plus the lint was much finer. This was something I should have done years ago. I will certainly do it regularly in the future.

Here are the top three reasons why I will never use this company again and why I gave them a bad score. We paid for the Angie's List deal of $99 to clean the vents at our rental property. 1. They gave us a two hour window of when they would show up, and then they still showed up thirty minutes outside of the two hour window, and didn't even call. 2. Next, they had to remove a set of double doors to clean behind the dryer. When they got back there, they charged us an extra $45 saying the services we needed were not covered by the Angie's List deal we purchased. However, he did give us a slight discount for being an Angie's List member. 3. The worst part about the entire experience was that when they put the set of double doors back on, they put them on backwards, so the doors wouldn't shut properly. When our renters mentioned the doors should be flush and close together, they mentioned it wasn't their fault. My husband had to go out and switch the doors back, so they would close properly.

The guys were a little late but called to tell me that they would be, so no problem. They cleaned and sterilized all the air ducts on our new house - which had been a rental and vacant for who knows how long. They explained exactly what they would be doing; worked around the painters who were also there, and were in and out leaving nothing but clean behind them. I will gladly use them again.

The guy that cam out was really great. He sat with me and helped decipher what he needed to do. He was very available, quick, and on time. The price was fair. He did a great job.

Charles Golden was very nice and professional. He was surprised there was as little lint as there was, but we've always vacuumed the interior of the machine ourselves; perhaps that's why it's still working after almost 26 years...

The man brought his son along and seemed to be trying to teach him about work and business, and his son seemed very reluctant to be there, however, they did the job.

They were incredible, way beyond my expectations. I can't say enough about them, they worked so hard and did so much. They were perfect, they did not leave one spec of mess and it was a very messy job. We are thankful and pleased and will probably use them again.

All of the preliminary estimating was by phone. It is an easy process if you know the vent and handler counts. Set an appointment. The workers showed up promptly, we got the details of cost closed and the work began. The Workers were really professional and customer focused. They pointed out some of the conditions found in the vents and went the extra mile to keep the house clean and free of dirt resulting from the duct cleaning porcess. They were easy to work with. They did a nice overall job. The house smelled great when they left. I would recommend them to anyone needing ducts cleaned.

It went fine. He was gone probably 20 minutes. He was fine. It was just one person. He was friendly. His price was acceptable to begin with.

On time, careful to protect the floor and furniture from any dirt from the vents. Very careful on roof while cleaning out the air-handler, and air returns. Our house is old, and the former owners had a fire, and we are sure the vents were not cleaned at that time, so this was a very messy job. We are very pleased and will remember to do this more oftern to cut down on the recirculating dust and grime.

Excellent. Charles and the team was excellent. I will use them again and tell everyone about them. They were helpful in everyway. They were on time, clean and quick. They were watching out how they could work around us in the house. My dryer was broke. Charles did extra tests to make sure it was not the vents. He crawled up into the crawl space. He also looked at the dryer. I asked him his advice on other items in the house and he was great. I thought there was a bird in the chimney. He stopped what he was doing and helped me out. Just simply terrific. The job we did was excellent. They cleaned and vacuumed as well. Thanks Charles and Team !

My experience was fine. They did a good job. The technician was personable and helpful. Everything went well.

The company was on time, early even. They called ahead to let us know they were coming. We had more air ducts/vents than the Angie's List deal, but we knew that going in. He gave us the price for each additional air duct before beginning and it was very reasonable. Adding the dryer vents and chimney was reasonable too. They were very clean - totally kept area they worked in clean and were very conscious of keeping our home protected from their work. It took about 4 hours but we have a very large home. They also washed our vents. We have a second home and will be using them to clean those vents/air ducts/dryer vents as well.

We purchased an Angie's list deal for the chimney cleaning and was able to get it scheduled for just a few days out. Then as we read their web-site, realized they did more than just chimneys. We also ended up engaging them to clean the dryer vents and air ducts. They were able to do all the work on one day which was really nice since the two additional cleanings were added later. They were quick, professional and good communication about job status and outcome.

Everything went exactly as expected. I purchased a $99 coupon for dryer vent cleaning, and on the same day scheduled the appointment via email for one week later, when I would be home from work. The owner and one of his employees arrived on time and went straight to work. They were very personable and happy to answer questions and let me watch how it's done. It took them about 30-45 minutes to clean the vent, which in my case is a straight shot to the roof of a single story home. It hadn't been cleaned in a number of years and clearly needed to be. Afterwards, the owner of the company mentioned that some customers also opt to have the dryer itself cleaned, for an additional fee of $45. (There was no high-pressure sales tactic at all.) I was hesitant at first but decided it made sense to go ahead and do it while they were there, just to be safe. I'm glad I did. They removed the front cover of the dryer and cleaned out years' worth of accumulated lint and gunk from the inner workings that without a doubt would have affected the dryer's efficiency and, I imagine, posed a fire hazard. For $144 in all, I got clean equipment and peace of mind. The company was having trouble with its credit card system that day so I had to write a check, but otherwise there were no glitches at all, and even that wasn't a big deal. All in all, a great experience.

Great customer service. They cleaned the air ducts, vent covers as well as the dryer vent. It got pretty spendy though. But I had a lot of vents too. I would use them again.

It was ok but it turned out to be a lot more expensive than the deal, which I didn't appreciate. They told me things were needed to be done and things weren't covered under the deal but it cost me more than double in the end. The work was good but I wouldn't recommend them.
