Golden's Good Air

I hesitated to ever do this review because it was so long ago! But AL keeps sending me requests for review and since I think this is what we go on Angie's List for - to determine who is reliable, professional or not I decided to do this review! They were very nice people, they did a good job in cleaning out chimney and not making a mess. So I also had them do my dryer vent which exhausts up and out through a vent on my flat roof . I thought it would be simple to accomplish! However, he pulled the vent cover off.. instead of trying to find a way to unscrew or ???? and when he did so, he ripped it out of its mooring and cannot be put back on properly. and since I had foam and elastomeric roof coating this was ripped out of that coating and left a big gash of open foaming! Next time it rained... leaked into the ceiling of bedroom below this. I had stated when he was doing it... you can't pull that off there it is imbedded in the roofing! So I feel that this was not a very professional decision on his part to see this was going to be and then chose to pull that off there and thereby create the leak issue!

Very Well. The staff was punctual and his service was professional. Also price setting is reasonable. I will ask the company again.

Great! Came right out and completed the job quickly.

They cleaned out the dryer vents, also cleaned out the dryer filter area and secured the dryer vent hose to the dryer. They found a bird's nest in the vent so they had to clean that out. I had them install a cage around the outside of the vent to ensure it doesn't happen again.

They arrived towards the later end of their window, which was fine, and completed the work professionally.

My dryer indicated that its vent needed to be cleaned. Golden's Good Air came at the expected time and after the cleaning my dryer indicated that it had good air flow. While the price seemed a little high, it was lower than other listed providers.

It was fantastic! The crew was punctual, very friendly and did a great job explaining things to me. I'd highly recommend them to anyone looking for a good chimney sweep.

I bought an angie's list deal for chimney sweeping - Charles showed up on time and was very professional. He did an initial inspection to see how dirty my fireplace was and told me he thought it needed to be sealed. After cleaning it, he re-examined it and found out that it was completely sealed and told it was no longer needed - very honest! He was very professional and very courteous! And best of all - no mess!

On September 9, 2016 when installing a new dryer, we found that the vent tubing had come away from the dryer. I was there when it was pulled out, and no excessive force was used. We were happy with the service at the time. Remember that non-professionals are not always able to judge professional work. In view of the other positive reviews, this is most likely the exception, but think about it.

They were clean, neat, and polite. We had several other people at the house performing work (painter, carpet, and floor cleaning) at the same time so it was a bit chaotic. Even with all that, they did a superb job!

I am very pleased by the job done by Charles Golden and his daughter from Golden's Good Air. The job was more work than anyone expected, but they worked through it very gracefully and professionally. I am grateful that they discovered a problem with the air conditioner ( a filter was not in the door of the air conditioner but directly in contact with the coils) and they fixed it. They were good about confirming the appointment and arriving as scheduled. I found this company through Angie's List after a company ,who I will not name, failed to show up or even contact me. The work cost a little bit more than originally quoted but I saw the reasons for the additional cost and it was warranted.

Work was done promptly, professionally and cleaned up when completed. I will gladly use Golden's Good Air again in the future.

Paula and Charles are polite and consult with you on every step they take while doing their work. They lay down cloth to protect flooring and catch dirt. They ask before moving furniture around. They spent 4 hours doing careful work and cleaned up after the work was done. The grates were like new when they were finished. The house smells clean and fresh. I highly recommend using Golden's Good Air.

The technician, Charles, arrived promptly and was very polite and pleasant thruout the entire interaction. Years ago I was informed by A/C guys that my home's dryer vent was vented into attic instead of out of roof.(!) Had a handyman repipe to outside. Recently, I discovered that the pipe had blown apart at the join and again was blowing lint into the attic. I reviewed companies on Angie's and chose Golden's because of the many good reviews. They were able come out the same day. I told Charles about the substandard existing piping; (handyman had used rectangular rain gutter piping for one section of the pipe and tape that had disintegrated over time). He examined the situation and suggested replacing it with rigid pipe, using screws to reinforce the connections and taping intersections with proper vent tape. After completing the repipe in the cramped and hot attic, he cleaned the duct, removing a LOT of lint. I went up in the attic (hot!) and was pleased to see a neat, sturdy, well-fitted pipe replacing the previous mess. I'm happy with the job that was done and will hire Golden's again next time.

Our clothes were not drying with our brand new dryer. The only problem could be that there was lint build-up in the dryer vent. It was unbelievable what came out of there. I'm surprised a fire had not started before. So glad I called Goldens Good Air. Will use them again for sure.

Accommodated a Saturday appointment, which was convenient. Very professional - 3 people addressing all the areas of the home at the same time. Highly recommend this company as they have always been very good. They used air freshners too, which gave additional freshness to our home.

It went very well, They were very professional and explained everything they were doing .I can't believe how friendly and helpful they were. I would recommend them to my friends ,neighbors and all. Charles cleaned my dryer vent that had many years of lint accumulation. Then he inspected my dryer and discovered that it was caked with lint too. So he cleaned out the dryer (extra fee for this service) and showed me that I had already had a dryer fire. There were burned pieces of caked lint. After going for 15 years without cleaning my vents, I'm sold on the safety of this service. Charles was courteous, professional and did a good job cleaning the vent and dryer. The dryer is now more efficient and dries clothes much faster, like when it was new. I will hire Charles again in a year to perform the service annually.

The two technicians came to the house and introduced themselves. They got right to work and cleaned out the vent with no problems. My dryer works so much better now! They were both very polite and gracious. They were a pleasure to work with.

It went great. The crew was nice, professional, answered all my questions about proper maintenance of ducting to keep it as clean as possible....the answer by the way is keep your air filters clean, change once a month in the summer or every other month in the fall and winter. They were very through, neat, and would point out if something wasn't covered by the package I bought and what it would cost if I wanted to add on the extra such as cleaning the dryer duct I mentioned previously or extra returns not included in the price. I think I had a total of 14 returns and the package only covered 10 so I paid the extra $60 to have those done too. After they left I would have never known they were there if I hadn't watched them perform the work and most importantly we no longer cough when the A/C unit turns on.

Contacted Golden Good Air based upon the positive reviews of other members. Our dryer has not been working very well and I never had the dryer ducts professionally cleaned. I was also fearful of fire risks related to duct accumulation. Booking the appointment was easy and I received a follow up call the day before the appointment. Charles arrived at my house on time and both he and his assistant were very friendly. Before he started work, he wanted me to understand that my dryer was producing very low heat. I was aware of this fact but appreciated that he made me aware of his pre-assessment. They also offered to clean the dryer electrical panel at a reduced rate since they were there. I also appreciate that Charles made sure that I was satisfied with his services before I paid and he left. The end result is that the dryer is finally working well again. I highly recommend Golden Good Air.
