I obtained Golden Dryer's name from Angie's List. I called at about 9 a.m. and talked to Charles while he was on another job. When he learned my house was in the same area as where he was working he offered to come when he was finished and then arrived at my house about 30 minutes later. He cleaned the dryer vent and swept the chimney. Cleaning the dryer vent required moving a stacked washer and dryer out from the wall. This was fairly difficult and Charles was diligent in completing this task. After the chimney was cleaned a couple of areas where the mortar had crumbled became evident and he stated I could repair them myself or he could do it with materials he had with him. I agreed to pay $45 for the extra work and it was performed. At the end of the job I was satisfied that Charles had performed all the work requested in a timely and professional manner and for the price agreed upon.

Charles called a head to let me know he was aiming. He was on time, very professional and thorough. Excellent job. I will use him again.

Removal of lint build up in from the dryer exhaust pipe that vents out of the roof. If this lint builds up over a period of time, you will have a fire waiting to happen. The technician also recommended removal of line build up in and around the dryer tube, floor etc, I was surprised to see how much of a lint built up there was inside the dryer housing.

I used a "deal" from Angie's List to get the chimney swept in a home built in 1963. The chimney did not draw at all so I knew that there might be things wrong other than blockage. Charles did a full inspection and I agreed to add on the following services: Smoke Test Fire box repair (some of the mortar was missing) Ash door clean out New rain / bird cap New ash pit cover (the existing one had been warped by high heat) He was pleasant, professional and explained what each additional item would cost, why he thought they were needed and left the decision to do the work up to me. No sales pressure at all. All in all, the chimney and firebox were brought up to current building codes.I would definitely use this company again for any services they offer. His prices were very fair, he was punctual and clean.

The work went very smoothly and was completed in the time he told us it would take. The overall cost was within the quoted price and i would recommend the Company to other people as well using them our self again

Charles was exactly on time at 3:30 and called ahead. They used a vaccuume to clean inside of the chimney and it took approximately 1 hour.

I had coupons from Angie's list to use for them for $85 to do chimney sweeping and then I also got flyers from them for $79 for cleanup. When he did that work he discovered that our ductwork was not conducted. They then came back to do a lot of work on the ceiling and ductwork. I was very happy with the work they did. They did a very meticulous job. I watched them do the work and they did the job the way it needs to be done. They came in and were careful about their shoes. They did not leave any mess. They were very clear about everything.

They were on time, did the job for what they quoted and cleaned up after themselves. There wasn't anything that I disliked. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

My dryer has been taking an extra cycle to dry for the past couple of months. As it is relatively new, I figured the dryer vent needed cleaning. We have owned this home since 1993 and have never had that serviced. After reading reviews on Angie's List for Golden Dryer Services, I gave Charles Golden a call on 14 April 11. He said he could be over that Saturday, but we were not going to be home that day, so he asked if he could come over that afternoon. That he was on his way home from Tempe, but he would be glad to stop off on the way home. And he did, along with his wife, Paula, they make a great team. They plugged my dryer vent into their huge shop vac and hit the blow cycle and we, none of us, could not locate the outlet to the outside. The pipe in the roof that I had always assumed was it, was not. We could hear it in the wall behind the dryer, so Charles crawled up into my tiniest attic space to discover that all these years, the dryer vent was aimed out 2 soffit vents under the eaves of my house near my back door. It had collected and compacted lint, to the point that it looked like a strip of corning fiberglass insulation, only blue. He pried open the piece of wood covering that section and pulled out 2-3 cubic feet of fluff. He said he could fix it, and we decided on leaving the vent pipes emptying to the same location as they were in good condition, except for him to install a damper, like normal people have, so that it actually would blow out of an opening, rather than thru the soffit holes. He calculated it would cost me $350 for everything, and was back at 7AM the morning of the 19th to install it. They are not only nice people and people of integrity, but very knowledgable, efficient and tidy. Charles is a former Army soldier, and it shows in up in a good way. My dryer is now taking 1/4 or less to dry the same sized load of clothes. Not only is this going to be a huge energy saver, as the summer months are fast approaching, I will not have my dryer heating up my home as it has been the past few years, when the A/C is running. I would also add that he pruned back dead bouganvilla under that eave so that he could work without getting poked, and cleaned up the entire pile of clippings before he departed the first afternoon.

5-Star Company! I was very impressed with the quality and professionalism of the service I received. Charles called on his way to let me know he was en-route, and answered all my questions when he got to my home. He started with the dryer vent first and completed the job quickly. He even fixed my dryer vent on top of my roof since the vent hood was too close to the actual vent itself. I also had my chimney swept, which was the first time in 9 years, since I don't use it. I have a propane indoor fireplace and he noticed a portion was installed incorrectly and he fixed it. Everything was taped off in the fireplace prior to cleaning so no soot or debris would enter my house. He took his time to make sure nothing leaked out onto my floor or walls while cleaning the chimney. Since this experience was so great I will now have yearly routine maintenance on my dryer vent and chimney! Great company!! This is how service to your home should be. Price of service performed was worth every penny!!!! Use this company if you have the need!

They were organized, punctual, polite and very professional. Chales and his wife (sorry, forgot her name) spent some time at the begining looking for the dryer vent outlet so as to properly seal it off and prevent lint from spreading out across my yard. They sealed out the outlet and inlet before using their vacuum/blowers. They cleaned the chimney out from both ends. They were very careful to collect al their lint/soot. I didn't find a speck anywhere inside or outside the home. The price was also pretty reasonable ($80 for the chimney and $100 for the vent, I believe). The only reason i gave them a B on that was because i did find someone else who was willing to do the vent (but not chimney) for $75. We still went with Golden because they did both services, and had availability to come by on the same day. Overall, great experience. Would recommend them anytime.

Excellent! I was concerned because my dryer vent was clogged, and we were having a new washer/dryer delivered the next day. Charles explained the process to me over the phone, and was able to come out the next morning. Charles and Paula arrived promptly at the agreed time, 9 am, and started working right away. They were very patient as I was very nervous because my dryer vent went above and around a bedroom before exiting the house at a side wall. Not an easy roof vent cleaning. Mission accomplished! They took a lot of lent and gunk out of the vent. I will have this cleaned on a regular basis now.
