Golden's Good Air

The work was performed in about 4 or 5 hours. The crew (Dad and Mom and two grown children), arrived on time and got right to work. They cleaned up after themselves and were neat. They had to carry heavy blower/vacuum equipment up and down stairs, and did OK. Mr. Golden, the business owner, kept suggesting that I consider additional cleanings above and beyond the original labor items purchased on Angie's List for $350. Including the two special permanent filters I had him order, the total came to over $1000. Mr. Golden did go above and beyond service-wise by going onto the roof to find and reconnect the vertical dryer vent exhaust pipe, which had become disconnected from the vent pipe in the ceiling. One of the filters he measured for did not fit, but upon my notification, they re-ordered and paid for the replacement immediately without quibbling. The only negatives were the pricey final bill, and the discomfort of being subjected to a few minor crew-member sqaubbles (no yelling, just negative-attitude responses).

They were prompt and profession. Cleaning only took 30 minutes. I would hire them again.

We were impressed with this service and will use them again in the future. The one guy who assisted the owner of the company, was vacuuming some small particles on the living room carpet and insisted on doing it after I told him I would take care of it since I was going to be vaccuming anyway. Both fellows were polite and worked hard. The air in the house already smells better! I had some questions about the air filter and Charles showed me a sample of the filter he would recommended which has a life time warranty and looked much better than the washable one I bought. Mine had a plastic frame and his is a metal one with a real tight mesh that filters much better. Charles wasnt trying to sell me something since I brought it up, he just convinced me how good his recommendation was and it will be shipped after being custom made.

It went very well. They were very professional, made sure that there was no dust or debris left on the floor. They were very meticulous. It was all positive. It was an additional $40 to have them repair a crack. They were very good, price, good, quality and punctuality was good.

After purchasing the their big deal, we were quickly contacted to schedule an appointment. The owner and an assistant showed up for the work. Both were very professional and respectful during the entire time. We were very pleased with the cleaning and sanitation. The only thing was after they removed several vents for cleaning (which were taken outside and cleaned with water) the vents were not completely dry when they were brought back into the house. The somewhat wet vents were placed directly onto the carpet without protection which caused a couple of rust stains. Since we were planning on having my carpets cleaned the next week, I did not make too much of an issue of it. We would only suggest they either ensure the vents are entirely dry before bringing them back inside and also placing a layer of protection down beneath the vents until they are reinstalled. After all is said and done, we would rehire this company.

Our 2300 sq ft home is approx. 12 yrs old and has dual A/C and heating units. Although we have had the units regularly serviced, the vents have never been cleaned. My husband was fascinated with how Golden's equipment operated as they thoroughly cleaned the two duct systems at the price advertised. Additionally, we had them clean the air returns and clothes dryer vent. They were informative, friendly and left the house clean. We would highly recommend Golden's to anyone needing their services.

I was pleased with their punctuality, thoroughness, and cleanliness. I have white carpet, and they wore booties and draped the floor to protect around the fireplace. I would definitely call them again.

Chimney Sweep and inspection of chimney.

Initially I was concerned when I first made contact; it took two weeks and I had to make contact again. Once contact was established setting up a date was easier. I did get to take advantage of the coupon for the chimney sweeping. I added the additional vent cleaning a few days later. I honestly wasn't sure what was quoted me for the vent cleaning. I had written down a combined cost and that is what was stuck in my head. Charles asked and I said what I thought. I did have them vacuum out the dryer (it was to be an additional charge, which was okay with me. I was prepared to pay it). Although my allergies were affected from the smell from the vent cleaning exhaust from the vac and the dust from the chimney. I think he felt badly and then didn't charge the extra. So, both are now done and in the future, I would call them back to have my ducts cleaned. Overall a good job.

He was right on time. Cleaned the stack without making a mess and fixed the bent vents.

Two guys came to the house and within a few minutes the outside guy had a pile of lint any hamster would love to live in! Amazing how something so simple looking works SO much better with a bit of experience under the belt! You could blow dry your hair outside at the vent now! Excellent work!

The service turned out fine we had no complaints with them. It seemed like a husband and wife team and they came out on a Sunday. They were pleasant to work with and I would use them again.

Not a lot of details other than they did a fantastic job at cleaning the vents. The dryer vent was an absolute fire hazard as it was entirely plugged from start to finish. We are very fortunate we elected to have this performed at the time of the originally schedule home vent cleaning. For $50 more I highly suggest you do too. Very pleasant couple performed our service and cleaned up very well on completion of the service. They were timely and professional, would recommend/use again.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was fine. I asked them to do an additional service that I paid another $65 for. They were pleasant and fine but I asked what the cost would be for the chimney box to be painted and the gentleman told me $65 and I told him to do it. At the end, the lady who was with him said it was bigger than he thought and it took more paint so it would be $85. I was in the room with them the entire time so if the price had changed, he should have told me before trying to charge me more because I wasn't going to pay more than what they told me it would cost. They couldn't change the price at the time of payment so I only paid $65. I haven't used it yet so I don't know if it was done right. They were very nice and professional up until the time they tried to change the price.

It was fine. They cleaned my air ducts and then I had them add the services of cleaning my AC coils, and cleaning our the dryer vent for me as well. The owner of the company was here and he did most of the services and he had a helper. The owner was very nice and he did a good job but I was not impressed with his helper. I don't want to give him a bad review because of that but I can't honestly say that he was fantastic because of the guy. The helper didn't know what he was doing and he was constantly being told what to do. He was rough with some of my vents and he tried to force them into place and he also made a mess. The owner made sure he left the area completely cleaned up and stuff.

It turned out very well. They did what they said they were going to do. They did it efficiently. They cleaned up after themselves and left. You can't ask for much more than that.
