We paid up front and the salesman told us we would get a call from the installation department in a couple of weeks. We had to call several times to get a response. We finally got the door after about 3 months. Screen was loose and the installer said "I don't bring the tool to fix that on purpose. I'll tell the office and someone will come next week to tighten it". Finally got it tightened after several weeks of phone calls. Then the door stopped closing. It just stopped and the bolt banged on the strike plate. I just fixed it myself. Broken pin in the lock.

BUYER BEWARE! Overall experience was poor at best; we ordered three doors and each one has had multiple issues along with very poor installation. Door sweeps had gaps, automatic closer was incorrectly installed leaving four additional holes in our door frame, one door was manufactured incorrectly and had to be hung in reverse leaving four screw holes exposed only later to be filled in with a chemical "Steel Stick" and poorly painted over. Front door knob and deadbolt installed much higher than we expected. Sales Rep indicated that the manufacturer supplied door knobs could be rekeyed by home owners which is not correct. Issues and installation started in April 2017 several dozen calls / emails to customer service has resulted in 6 additional visits, 7 total with another one pending and still no resolution. Additionally all the visits have been scheduled late in the day inconveniencing our family time and the response from the customer service rep was "that just the way it is, more convenient for our employees" Just wish we could get our money back

Do Not use this company for your security door needs. Their customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with. My husband and I bought an wrought Iron security door from them on March 19, 2017 and it was installed on April 18, 2017. The problem is that the door was installed completely unfinished. It is missing the wrought iron braided door handles on both the inside and the outside of the door. we bought the door with a screen and that is also missing. so basically we now have a security door that is completely useless. I have called their customer service about 5 times and I keep getting the run around. "We will look into this and get back to you before the end of the day and I never heard back. "we are o busy installing new customers doors and are unable to fit you into our schedule. I would think that a business would do whatever it takes to fi their huge mistake. This door is a very expensive door and what we were given was a door that is completely useless. Not at all what we paid for.

Their product is fantastic but we had a bit of a problem with communication. Their products are the best you can buy anywhere. They are superior to anything else as far as quality and price. When they were suppose to come and install gates, they put it on the wrong truck. They called and told us and made the appointment again for 3 days later. They didn't show up. We didn't hear from them and called them 10 days later to asked "where's our gate?". They said we weren't even on the books. They found it and set up an installation date. The salesmen was very responsive and came right over. Everything is custom made so it normally takes about 2 weeks for their product to be made. The technicians were great. They did really good installs. They were fast and knew what they were doing. The salesmen were very knowledgeable about understanding all their products. The builders were fabulous and first rate. They just need to work on communication. We will still by stuff from them because of the quality and price.

They were pretty good, but a little pricey. They didn't give us too much of a break. The problem is they installed the one door and it really shouldn't have gone in there. They should have put more security on it because it didn't sit right into the post very well, so the thing broke. It was just over the 2 years when I called them and they said sorry, too bad. They said it's not anything about the door but I said it was their installation what you guys did. They wanted to charge us $100 just to come look at it, and that's even not doing anything about it. I am not happy with that. Now we are stuck with what to do with it. It's life. I would go somewhere else. It took 2 days maybe to install the doors. I don't remember, I am guessing. The workers were good. They cleaned the area well.

I purchased a security screen door from First Impressions Security Doors last fall. I chose them because of a recommendation from a relative. They had a booth at a local event and had a door I liked the pattern on. Within a week I was contacted by them and a sales person made an appointment with me. I was quoted $1650.00 for the door at the event and after talking to the sales person and doing a little negotiating we agreed on $925.00 If I paid in full that day. Quite a savings. My complaint is not with the door but rather with the installation and their customer service. The installer told me I didn't have to be there after he got started. I had to run out but would be back in an hour. I expected him to be there as he told me it would take 1-1//2 - 2 hours to finish. When I returned, he was not there and the door was installed poorly. It was out of square, there were uneven gaps around the door and the bottom door sweep didn't cover the gap in the step. Also, they installed the wrong lock. I called the company and told them about this and they said they would get back to me to schedule another appointment. After a couple of days I had heard nothing from them so I called them and was told they were scheduling for the next week and would get back to me. This went on for a week and a half, me calling every 3 - 4 days. I spoke to 3 people and each time I had to give them all my information including that the lock was wrong which they questioned me "are you sure you ordered that lock". Yes, It's on my receipt. You would think giving them my order number would allow them to pull up all the information. When I finally got another appointment they still couldn't narrow down the time saying "these are custom doors and installations. The time it takes to do an install varies". Great, so I'm supposed to wait around all day? Their response, "we wouldn't want you to wait all day". When the same installer came back I asked if he was proud of the job he'd done? He made some lame excuse about customers don't like having their door frames cut. I'm a former carpenter and after I pointed out the correct way to fix the problems, he went at it. Because they use non-removable screws, he had to drill and chisel them off. Scratching the powder coating which he covered over with spray paint that was supposed to match. It doesn't. Now I have a blotchy door that is not fully powder coated and a hacked up deadbolt hole. I have a friend who bought a front door from them and he had to have them come back to reinstall it as there were gaps all around the door. A different crew installed his door. Obviously, they don't hire quality installers. I need another screen door and I WON'T be calling them.

Started off with a really lousy and dishonest sales person then only got worse as the door was installed. The order was placed, wrong items were sent, and so I followed up with customer service multiple times only to be promised that someone would get back to me. Finally, after two months of phone calls, I was told that I would have to pay for the change to the door. The salesperson ordered the wrong screen for the door and they wanted a $250 upgrade charge for the new screen. They offered me a "deal" where I could pay only for the screen and they would waive the install fee. Huh?Why would I be asked to pay for their mistake? At any rate, I finally escalated my inquiry to the president of the company and he said they would waive the fee if I left a good review for them on Facebook and other social channels. Again, huh? How about getting it right and having an ounce of professionalism in the process? Bottom line is, the door itself was very nice, but their dishonest approach made the entire experience excruciating and a total waste of time chasing them down. I would not recommend wasting your time or money here.

We moved into our new home in December 2015 and early on decided that we would replace our front door as the builder really did not offer a lot of choices. Saw First Impression's ad in the paper and saw them at the Maricopa Home and Landscape exhibits. Called and setup a home estimate and Greg Fleetwood came in on a Saturday, did the measurements and pictures and gave us the cost. It is an expensive door but we went for it because of the quality of craftsmanship and safety their custom doors offer. It took First Impression one week to submit a CAD drawing for approval then another 2 1/2 weeks for fabrication. On installation day, the installer Miguel and his partner arrived on time (around 9:30AM) and stayed until a little past 7PM. He said they have to finish the installation because he would not compromise security of the home. Miguel and his partner were very respectful and skilled. All the features of the door , care and maintenance were explained to me in detail before they left that evening. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the result - we have a solid, robust but esthetic front entrance. Bravo First Impression IronWorks!!

In May 2016 I purchased 3 security doors. This company had the greatest selection of designs and a couple different levels of steel thickness in the construction, compared to the 3 other companies I visited. We had an issue but with some discussions on making the correction; Jason Lord Assistant Customer Service Mgr provided me with a solution that was beyond what I had expected. I would recommend this company and return as a customer.

This is a delayed review, I should have wrote the review when First Impressions installed a security screen door for the front of my house nearly 6 years ago. But better late, then not at all and I love the color and combination as much now, as the 1st day they put it in. It is truly quality workmanship, the kind of added security I was seeking. In fact, I was so pleased with the front door, I decided to put in security screen doors for my sliders in the back of the house too a few years later. I received several compliments from neighbors when I put the front door in and have continued receiving compliments over the years. Terry was incredibly helpful when I bought both doors and so patient during my decision making process. She wanted to ensure I would be happy for years to come and I am!! I would highly recommend First Impressions if you are looking for a beautiful security screen door with high quality construction and great customer service!

This is third home we have had doors put on by First Impressions. They always do a beautiful job and their reps are extremely professional. We have never had a problem with the doors except on this last one. We had a small issue with the closing mechanism on and off that hindered the door from closing properly. After adjusting it back and forth for a few months I just became tired of doing it so I called First Impressions. Even though the mechanism was out of warranty by the time I called, they offered to come out and replace it still at no charge. To me that is what customer service is all about. My family is grateful and if we need security doors again (We will as I am putting in french doors), First Impression will be my who makes them.

The install went fine. Now, a couple of years later, I noticed some rust forming on the gate and, when I called, they said it was out of warranty (naturally) but they offered to send some touch-up paint for the rust, which they did. But it did not match. Then I noticed that the screen on the gate was dented so I sent photos and measurements of the screen so I could PAY for a new one. They emailed me back that they would get in touch with me. That never happened and several of my follow up calls and emails have been ignored. I can only conclude that once they have your money, best of luck getting any actual help.

The estimate was provided as scheduled. The process was smooth. A competitor's pricing was much higher. Installation was done as scheduled however, the vault pins were left off. In my opinion this was a huge error because it was key to the security of the door. I called the vendor and the person who took my call had no idea what I was talking about. To the employee's credit, they quickly worked with other employees to understand the problem. First Impressions did work quickly to resolve the problem. The missing vault pins were promptly installed however, I discovered later that the installer didn't clean-up very well since lots of metal shavings were left at the base of the door.

I've waited more than a month to write this review so I could calm down and try to be objective. We have mixed feelings about our experience. Parts of our experience were great -- like the showroom, our sales representative and the installation team. Parts were OK -- like the quality and appearance of their work, although the items they produced for us don't match the dimensions or design originally ordered -- what we did end up with is beautiful and we get lots of compliments from neighbors and inquiries about who made it. Parts of our experience were VERY unpleasant -- like the first set of CAD drawings not matching the dimensions determined by the sales representative who came out twice to measure; the fence being built 1.5" shorter than the design specified; the gate's spearheads being welded incorrectly even after THREE re-welds (the spearheads were supposed to be absolutely vertical and match those on the top of the fence -- see photos of the fence and gate attempts 1 and 2 to see how far off they were), our interactions with the Customer Care team and all of the delays and hassle their mistakes caused us. Our situation was ultimately escalated, resulting in a lengthy conversation with the president of the company which still left me less than satisfied. In the end, we decided to accept the door, gate and fence as they were just to see the ordeal come to an end. Bottom line advice for anyone considering First Impressions: 1) Check and double check ALL dimensions on the CAD specifications and drawings before you sign anything (YOU have to catch THEIR mistakes), 2) Measure and photograph ALL items as they are delivered and before they are installed and compare them to the CAD specifications, drawings and illustrations. 3) If something doesn't match, refuse it, contact Customer Care and INSIST that you actually get to SPEAK to a manager. 4) Document everything in detail. In summary, First Impressions ultimately produced a solid, beautiful and high quality product for us -- BUT, in our actual experience, it suffered greatly from poor quality control, lack of consistency in fabrication and disappointing customer service.

We highly recommend First Impressions Security Doors if you're in the market for a decorative iron front door for your home or business. I'm going to give them an A because "all's well that ends well." In other words, the final door installed in my home is really gorgeous and comparable to all the impressive photos of their products online and in print, as well as the samples in the showrooms. However, the door they delivered the first time was not, in my opinion, up to their quality. I was extremely apprehensive that they would disagree and it would be a big hassle. But to my relief, both my sales rep and the Customer Service Manager agreed. To fix the issues (unsightly depressions and sloppy welds) they took both the door and frame away and gave me a temporary wood door. The temp door didn't look great, but I did not care at all for what some people would think is a huge inconvenience. When they fixed the flaws and it came out of the kiln (which bakes on the powder coat), the Customer Service Manager called to tell me that some of the flaws could still be seen and offered to do it again. I was really thrilled and appreciative of his care and, again, did not mind at all the delay in getting the door done right. You have to realize that these doors are all handmade. As a dentist, I am very accustomed to receiving from a lab the occasional crown that is made poorly when normally they do beautiful work. It happens. I even went down to their factory and was amazed at how many doors they had in various stages of manufacture --- and they all looked great. So I am convinced that my door delivered the first time was just an unfortunate oversight and I doubt this happens very often. As I said, the door they ultimately delivered is just beautiful, and I love how they have little rollers that help close the door softly and securely. I also love the window that opens to a screen so you can get airflow. Now that I've lived with the door for a couple weeks, the only semi-critical --- or perhaps semi-quizzical --- observation I have is why the door was hung to swing in instead of swinging out. If it swung out, then we wouldn't have to worry about unthinkingly opening the door with the glass already open and in danger of banging into the wall. Had I known that before I started all this, I would have asked for a door that swung out instead of in. But perhaps there's a reason doors swing in and I just don't know it. Again, I doubt you will be disappointed if you buy one of their doors.
