First Impression Ironworks

Absolutely love the three security screen doors made by First Impression and installed. Very heavy duty and high quality. The laminate for the glass windows appears to be very durable. Since we live out of state, we had to keep changing the dates for the installation, but First Impression was wonderful and cooperative with our schedules. The overall project was a little on the expensive side, but the quality of the iron gates compared to the Big Box security doors, there's just no comparison!

I would recommend them because of the quality of the door. It is excellent. We are contemplating putting a door in the garage, and we will definitely use them if we do.

Prompt, timely response. Doors took awhile (they were custom), arrived on time. Had a small glitch which was immediately corrected.

Overall, it went very well. Everything was as we had ordered and they were very professional and friendly. The only minor complaint was that when the guy was installing the door, he put on a black gunk to fill some space/hole near the bottom of the door. Of course, this is a good thing. I just wish he had let us know that it had to dry because I touched it, got it all over the place, and had to clean it and smooth it again on the side of the door.

the entire process from picking out a concept in the showroom to in-home measuring and estimating went smoothly... everyone assisting us was knowledgeable and very helpful... the lead time for fabrication was long but, well worth the wait... we have had many favorable comments from neighbors, asking who the provider was (we are happy to refer them to First Impressions)...

So far everything is great, if this is a sign I'm sure the screens will be fine.

First Impression Security Doors gave us a pretty decent quote and they were giving us a homeshow special. They gave us options and they had everything written down, we could have had 2 doors, or we could choose from different designs. He explained everything and I was really impressed with them. We have a few other things going on so we haven't decided to use them yet.

The process from design through installation was great. And much quicker than I anticipated!!

quality of door is great, installed on date scheduled. The installation person was young and did not know how to reinstall the doorbell, needed to have a handyman do it for us.

It went really well! The time from estimate to install was around 2 weeks. We are just sorry we didnt have them install it a long time ago. Everyone we came in contact with at First Impression was so nice and professional.

Went to their showroom - saw a door we liked. Salesman came to home. Door we liked was for smaller door than door frame on our home. Enlarging the security door to make it fit our home destroyed the attractiveness of the security door. Returned to showroom really disappointed with thoughts of now security door from this business. Salesman worked with a picture of the too small security door we liked, a pencil, a pair of scissors, and a piece of cardboard and came up with a attractive version of the door. That version was submitted to their CAD people. Worked with the CAD people for several days in refining the design until that design matched the salesman's drawing and our vision of the finished and installed door. Ordered and had the door installed. A very good experience. We are very pleased.

They were very responsive, and patient when we encountered a problem with a problem homeowner's association. Showed up promptly when we finally got the go ahead, worked professionally and did a call-back to make sure we were satisfied, which we are, very much by the way!

We didn't go with them after getting their quote because I felt like I didn't get personalized service. I just felt more comfortable with another company, is the bottom line.

I thought they were expensive but our experience with them was good. I thought they were responsive, friendly, on time and really knowledgeable. I don't really have anything bad to say about them. They were more expensive than the other quotes that I got but that is not the reason that I didn't place the order. I am planning on placing the order.

They were very accommodating in scheduling the install and some finish work that needed to be done. The quality of the doors is excellent and they look incredible.

They were reasonable enough on their price - we received a discount. We had a security iron/screen door put in. All went well with no problems.

They came a week or two after they installed it for an inspection and they discovered that someone needed repaired and he fixed it immediately. I was having trouble closing the door and he was able to walk me through how to fix it myself over the phone so no one would have to come out and it worked fine. They were very nice. The people in the showroom were very helpful and the showroom was great, too.

From the initial quote to the installation of both doors, First Impression did a great job.Installation of portico gate into stone arch went very well and looks clean. We will use First Impression again in the future.

When I had the second security door put in the only problem I had was that they didn't do it when they said they would. They came late in the afternoon and it was getting dark so they had to come out next day. Other than that, they are a good company. The first door they put in right on time and I was so pleased with their service I even called the president of the company. They are a good, reliable company to deal with and they make a wonderful product. I think their prices are a little high but it is a very quality product. I would certainly use them again if needed.

I knew my experience was going to be exceptional just by my experience with the sales rep, Richard Hartman. He listened to everything I said and then made some GREAT suggestions. My entire experience was MORE than professional...everyone called me when I needed a return call, the installers showed up on time, and best of all a field inspection guy showed up a week later to inspect the job. First Impressions is one of the FEW companies I have worked with that exude professionalism. My gates are amazing!!!! Thank you!!!
