We measured the window openings for the blinds and ordered them from Select. Blinds were a special material and color with a boxed in valance. Blinds arrived as scheduled and the quality was exceptional. The vertical cloth strips matched the mahogany blind color perfectly. We scheduled the local Select installer and Chris was very knowledgable, efficient and professional. Chris did a great job for us and did it in less time that we anticipated. We measured the height of one blind incorrectly. Select replaced the blind at no cost and we donate the blind to Goodwill.

We had someone locally install faux wood blinds in three of our rooms and I didn't like the quality of the blinds and didn't want to use them for the whole house. After researching online, I decided on selectblinds.com and ordered blinds for the whole house. I ordered them in 2012 and then again I ordered for three rooms just recently so that I could change the color of the blinds. I have been very pleased with the quality of the blinds and they are holding up well.

Perfect. The blinds were cut exactly to the right size and the quality was far superior to top what is available at the local big box store. I was very impressed with the quality for the price. Installation was a breeze and the valance fit perfectly. For once, a window treatment project went off without a hitch.
Slow delivery. Blinds came but hardware does not work in my window. BUYER BEWARE, THERE IS NO SATISFACTION GUARANTEE! I called to ask for assistance on hardware issue, representative assured me of a return call. One week later no call. I called only to find out they have no alternative hardware - but also no common courtesy to tell me this is the case. Expensive mistake ordering through this company.

The blinds were delivered in about two weeks, and arrived with mounting hardware incompatible with my vinyl-framed windows. The wooden frame depth in my application is only about 3/4", while the mounting bracket requires the window be recessed at least 1.5" to work. SelectBlinds refused to accept a return based on the fact that I hadn't requested any samples, so admittedly, by the letter of their terms of service , they have the right to refuse the return. That said, samples, by their admission, only include MATERIAL SWATCHES and give NO INDICATION of what the mounting hardware is like; in my opinion they just use this gimmick as a way of weaseling out of accepting returns. I am extremely unhappy with their service, and will certainly not do business with this company again.

Do yourself a favor and go with another company for blinds. All the prices are nearly the same, and selectblinds has some old-fashioned false advertising on its website. They bill themselves as having a 90 Day Satisfaction Guarantee, but that's a total farce. The colors are also not even close to how they appear on the site. I ordered "antique white" based off of the color shown on their website, which is as white as the screen I'm now typing on. When the blinds arrived, I saw that they were cream-colored. I called to exchange them for blinds that were actually white and what do you know - they don't do any exchanges unless you order the "samples" before you place your order! When I asked about just returning them, the unfriendly woman that "helped" me said (three times) - "But we can't re-sell them, so..." Really? Not my problem! The "best" she could do was to offer me a discount on my NEXT set of blinds that I ordered! Hello?!? Now they have my $160 and I have five blinds that are of no use whatsoever. Thanks for nothing - this company is one to avoid, that's for sure!

Blinds were ordered on-line. Ordering was easy. Instructions on how to order were simple and easily understandable. I was able to place the order with little problems. The price was very reasonable and I was excited to get the blinds. Unfortunately, the date they told me that the blinds would be shipped came and went. They kept sending me emails saying that the blinds were being "produced" but it was still aggravating since they did not get shipped until a week after they said they would. That put the delivery into the holiday rush which delayed them even further. When they arrived they were as ordered but it was still disappointing that they were not here when promised.

I have had these blinds for about 3 1/2 years. They fit fine, I was not impressed by the build quality when I received them but hey, they were cheaper than the competition. After about the first year the cables started falling apart and the functions just are not working smooth anymore. About 50% of my blinds have issues with the cords. Their limited lifetime warranty really doesn't cover much so don't count on that. I was thinking about buying a large powered blind for my main window but becuase of the performance of my previously purchased blinds I think I will spend a bit more for some better quality.

Well I did receive the blinds pretty fast. But after installing 3 mini blinds I figured out that the wand would hit the valence every time you tried to open, close, raise or lower the blinds. and the valence would actually move back and forth about 1 inch. It looked bad and I had to constantly move the valence back to the proper location. I called numerous times and was told they had to contact the production department to find a solution. Well after about 2 weeks and numerous phone calls they had no solution I told them I would like a 100% refund! After waiting 1 more week they did agree they would refund my money. In my opinion a company should not sell things that they know have problems! They made me sent pictures,write e-mails and I made many phone calls to find out they have a problem with no solution. I would not recommend these guys!

We ordered wood blinds for every window of our house from Select Blinds. Most of the windows were oversized and every one was a custom size. Ordering was very easy online and their pricing and selection was the best we found. I didn't have time to order samples before ordering the blinds but when they arrived (which was about a week later) I was incredibly pleased by the quality of the wood and the product as a whole. Installation was easy, even on the larger blinds (I installed them all myself) and they work perfectly and look terrific.

We received the blinds and did not like the quality of the blinds. We called the SelectBlinds.com 800 # and talked to Johnna (sp) to ask for a return authorization for all 5 blinds. Note, initially we would have worked w/ selectblinds.com however, they were not willing to work with us. It is very disappointing to spend $1000 on blinds and not be happy with the quality of the product and not have the vendor stand behind their product. My suggestion is to proceed with caution. Update: After much complaining select blinds accepted the return of 3 of 5 binds. We will see what happens next.

Update 8/6: I just heard from the VP, he had obviously checked-in directly on the issue because he knew precisely the details and where all stands. I am happy to say I have been told a credit has been issued for the full amount. I do not see it on my credit card yet, but I am confident all is settled at this point. I am changing the final rating to a C from an F. I cannot go higher than a C because of all it took to get to this point, but I do have to credit where credit is due and I do believe future customers will not have issues that go unaddressed. Thank you for making this right! Update 8/3: A VP, Nate Kennedy, has gotten involved with the situation so I am tentatively hopefully all will be resolved. The initial response to my review that I went so ballistic over (8/1 update) has been greatly tamed. Also, the 30 day nonsense about a refund has also been removed from the guarantee page, both positive steps in my view. Further, the blinds were indeed picked up by FedEx yesterday and I received an e-mail from Nate assuring me all will be resolved to full satisfaction. I will continue to update this review as the situation unfolds. Update 8/1: In response to Select Blinds response: I only received action once I posted this review, along with ones on Angie's List, Yelp, and disputed the charge on my credit card. I sent pictures on 7/24 and requested instruction on how to return. I received no response and sent another message on Monday 7/29 asking why I had heard nothing on the return and I was directed to the guarantee page. I responded that was unacceptable and to send an authorization number and I was subsequently told on 7/30 to call in or us chat mail. I stated I had already done that and to send an authorization number. So Skippy, tell me why 4 requests and a credit card dispute along with reviews on varying websites was required to get a return authorization number. I have the e-mails and anyone is welcome to them! Now if you do not still know about the issues it simply proves that there is a zero response to anyone requesting a return just as the below posting from a different person on 7/29 also demonstrates. That or you are just straight up lying, either way it is really bad. Original As bad as Sears, Time Warner, and Direct TV put together! I have been trying to get an authorization number to return the blinds for over a week! None of the blind slats are level and I have tried for two weeks to level them! One of the valances was cut short, one of the wands is entirely warped, and all of the blind wands are obviously plastic vs faux wood. All the slats on one of the blinds are warped! They then made me take pictures, I send them in, and hear nothing. I ask again they send me to the supposed guarantee page which explains 30 days to return and that they will not pick up shipping. Yet the flash a 90 day guarantee across the top of all pages! I ask again for a return number and they tell me to call. Obviously trying to drag it out to avoid accepting the return! Reporting to the Office of the Attorney General in my state for deceptive trade practices and I will write each endorser.

Excellent quality and fit! Save some SERIOUS money folks and DO NOT hire someone to do window blinds for you. The 5 estimates we received were 3 times + as much as SelectBlinds and their quality was sub par at best. If you measure your windows correctly, [to the mm] installation is a snap! Literally! Due to an odd computer glitch, SelectBlinds was not able to make half of our blinds in two days. In keeping with their, "Blinds made and shipped within 2 days or they're free guarantee," we received over $2,300.00 worth of absolutely free blinds without any hassle whatsoever. Update: I forgot to mention that one of our blinds had a minor broken string. I took a picture, sent it to SelectBlinds, they contacted me immediately, apologized profusely and sent me a new blind over night. No charge, no hassle.

I missed the very short timeline that the company has for their FIT insurance. When I went back to review their website's instructions on measurements, I found that I had measured exactly as instructed on their product specific web page. I provided this information to customer service by both phone and by email. On second contact I requested to have my inquiry directed to a manager. I was told this would happen but no further response was ever received. The website tells you that product will be replaced if there is an error by them, however, customer service would not agree that this was not my error. They referred me to a general video that instructed on how to measure for all blinds. This generic video, while helpful, was not specifically addressed to the type of blind I purchased, so I followed the detailed product specific measuring guidelines. This resulted in the blinds being too short. This error could easily be remedied by the company revising the measuring instructions on their website. In my contact with customer service, they said they'd be willing to give me 50% off of a reorder price. This was not satisfactory because I feel the error was not mine. In addition, I discovered that the company did not provide the specific brand name of the blinds on their website and this was not available until I received my order. With that I discovered that SelectBlinds 50% off price was the same as 2 other website's normal prices on this type of blind. There was absolutely no incentive for me to reorder from this company, financially, in addition to my frustration with their service. I have previously ordered from this website and had no problems, and also had no problems with the other 2 blinds I ordered. Both of the error free orders were orders with cellular blinds and their website instructions are not missing the necessary piece that is absent in that for the flat roller shades. Quality of products I ordered were good. However, based on my experiences, I would order from someone else, or pay the additional cost of a small local shop to have better customer service. Beware of FIT insurance timelines and likelihood that you won't be able to return any products with problems.

So, I gave Select Blinds an "F" rating in my orginal review as I had a very poor experience with their customer service team. I interacted with their CSRs 3-4 times and each time just got worse. They provided bad or misleading information and when called them out on it, they handled it very poorly. The reason for the revised rating is that the blinds are actually okay for the price. Personally, I'll never buy anything from them again as I despise poor customer service -- expecially when I get the sense that its a company culture as opposed to an individual issue. And that's my opionion -- Select Blinds just doesn't care about customer service. But the blinds were reasonably priced and the quality was okay....so I've decided to bump them up to a "C" rating. The only bummer about the blinds is that 2 out of the 5 blinds were not level and I had to adjust them. This appears to be a common issue as their website includes a FAQ on fixing this issue, but that just took ten minutes or so and they look good now. And to be clear, Im not saying that I hung them incorrectly -- the string that holds up the blinds were longer on one side and thus not level. Anyhoo, good luck and I hope you dont have to deal with their Customer (di)Service team!

Their website is easy to navigate. They overnight samples to you. Their prices are good and their products of good quality. The products are delivered promptly and well packaged with good instructions and all hardware necessary for install. We have used select blinds before and were satisfied with the price/quality. However if you ever want to exchange something you purchased forget about it. The blinds we purchased the second time using the Select Blinds site arrived a little late but when opened we realized that the head rail was the wrong color to match the material of the shades. Thinking nothing of it I called Select Blinds to set up a return/exchange under the 90 day satisfaction guarantee. As it turns out since we did not order samples of the shades prior to ordering we were excluded from the 90 return policies. Since we were not concerned about the color of the blinds themselves I didn?t see what samples had to do with it. It was obvious the head rail was a different color from the shade and looked horrible. Bottom line? Select blinds DOES NOT HAVE A SATISFACTION GUARANTEE except for damaged goods.
