SelectBlinds.com is an online retailer and nobody came out to my house. The website is really well designed. It allows you to go through different types of blinds and shades and shop by features that you're looking for which is really helpful. I initially wanted to take a look at what the blinds actually looked like, so you can pick and they ship samples of those blinds to you so that way you can actually look and touch and feel and that's at no cost as well. I never interacted with them by talking to them. Everything was through their website and I never had the need. It was clean communication in that when I placed the order I got a confirmation and when they shipped it out I got a confirmation with a tracking number and everything. It was pretty good. The interaction is actually complete, so I picked them out, I ordered them, and they shipped them. I got them and I installed them and everything. All the parts were there and all the instructions were there. They're custom in a sense, so they're based on the dimensions that you provide of the window width and height you want. I think the price was very reasonable and very competitive compared to a brick store. I did ask for the samples to be sent and they were pretty quick and I think they arrived like within a week or something like that. They were pretty accurate with their estimates. In terms of how everything was packaged when I got the samples it was a nice letter explaining everything and it was all very tidy and very well presented.

Here is a very split review, Ive used select blinds.com for about 10 years and about 5 dozen or more blinds, for work and homes. If you measure and the product is a basic product you will be more than happy. If you need a return, exchange or need to talk to them for any reason they are the worst. I calculated I spent over 4,000 dollars with them over the years, and the last two products I ordered I have had problems with and they would do nothing for me and aggravated me with their attitudes over several contact attempts. One product was a slot-less blind (for darkening) and it would de-rail everytime I used it and took massive force to lift up. I asked for an Identical replacement without the slotless feature and explained how many orders and I felt this product was defective. They did nothing... I purchased 2 months ago a light filtering cellular blind (20 of them) 6 windows received too much light and it woke us up and the room were getting very hot even with the blinds down, again I contacted them asked for an identical replacement with better light coverage and I would pay the difference. After a huss and fuss, they said they could do 50% off, but later realizing they are always...always 30% off and buy 3 get 1 free, basically giving me very little discount on a replacement set.Some of their products are okay, but they are just bad people with horrible service. If youre looking for the cheap deal, they have it. If you are looking to deal with a quality company look elsewhere.

I needed 3 sets of blinds, but ordered 1, just to check. SelectBlinds was prompt, courteous, responsive, and the price was good, so I ordered online. Two days later I received a call from them, explaining that because my blinds were oversized (92 inches), they had to add $70 for shipping. Somehow a web glitch failed to inform me and add that on. So I reluctantly agreed. The blinds arrived quickly, and were very nice, and installed easily. So i ordered two more. Once again, the web program missed the oversize shipment cost, but there was no call from SelectBlinds. The blinds arrived quickly, and I thought I just saved $70. However, the blinds were damaged - the metal top rail was bent. So I called them, sent pictures and they said no problem, we'll ship you two more. They arrived bent, too. So I requested a refund, which they honored. Only problem is disposing of the damaged blinds. Each trip, I have to borrow somone's truck (8 ft blinds don't fit in my car) and pay $33 at the local dump. As I said, SelectBlinds is courteous, prompt, professional and responsive, the blinds are good and the price is good. But their shipping department doesn't know how to handle long blinds. So now I have 1 set of blinds and am hoping I can find two matching blinds elsewhere. ps - I gave them a B for Professionalism because my second set of damaged blijnd pictures got lost and added a week to the process.

I think that the website is very easy to use and customize. You aren’t paying for a third party. They sent me the wrong color at first and then sent me the correct ones without any hassle.

The SelectBlinds website is easy enough to navigate, and they provide a helpful little video explaining exactly how to measure your window opening. The free blind samples arrived quickly, and the shades that we ordered arrived on schedule. The blinds themselves were exactly what we had ordered. The style, color and size were perfect and they were simple to install. We already had Hunter-Douglas top-down bottom-up accordion shades in other rooms of the house. The SelectBlinds shades are definitely cheaper quality than the Hunter-Douglas. The SelectBlinds are lighter weight, noisier to operate and the sides of the material crushes easily. That said, they are cheaper, they look just as nice and they work fine.

They are very good, quick, and reasonably priced. The quality of their product is high. They kept to their promises pertaining to the delivery.

I am so impressed with the quality of their blinds. I found them by accident on the Internet. Their home page touts Ty, Pennington as a reference. They offer free shipping and 150% guarantee. I found their custom made blinds to be of better quality than Home depot. They are metal frame versus plastic. The price was half of Home Depot's custom blinds for the size we needed. Our windows are extra long (93 inches) and custom is the only way to fit them. Also, shipping was fast. My only complaint is that they did not email me a shipping notice and tracking number but they came so fast, it didn't really matter.

We had a confusion about the installation when we first tried and I called select blinds and also emailed them. Later that day I figured out the issue and resolved it without assistance. I was surprised not to get any response to either of my inquiries though. If the problem had persisted I would have called again and hopefully I would have been able to resolve the issue, but I have some serious concerns about the customer service for this company. I would buy blinds from them again because the quality is excellent for this price point and I hope I could resolve any problems myself, but I consider it a risk that if something is seriously wrong the resolution process could outweigh the value of the product.
