Hayden's Pool Service

Jeff came over right after we hung up the phone with him. He told my husband that he would try and repair the pump by replacing the capacitor. If it worked, we could possibly get another year out of it. It worked! We are so grateful for his expedited, honest, expertise that didn't result in us being told we needed a new pool pump. Thanks Jeff!! Highly recommend!

I have been using their services for around three months. I like that they are proactive in taking care of things that are degrading. I can send them a text and they respond quickly. If they are unable to come out they will walk me through what to do over the phone.

Saw the Deal called to have my pool filter cleaned. Jeff responded the same day stated he would be here the same day to take a look at the filter for he was going to be in the area. Later in the day, Jeff called back, stated his partner had an appointment and he needed to reschedule. We rescheduled, Jeff then asked that I send him a photo of the filter and he did arrived on-time the next day. My DE- pool filter is about 15 years old. Before he opened it he told me it needed to have about 300 dollars worth of work done on it. I advised him we would be replacing it soon and was aware of the small leak by the filter next to motor. He then proceeded to tell me about our out dated motor and how much it would cost to replace that. Now, I understand the purpose of the "Deals" are to secure new customer's and to up sale where possible so I was willing to let that go. My filter was working,before he arrived. My pool was clear, I at that time just wanted the filter cleaned. Jeff then took the filter apart, showed me the condition of the internal filters. I was willing to buy the replacement filters.. But the part That concerned me was he then stated he was not sure he could seal the filter back up and proceeded to go on about the seal ring and other parts that needed to be replaced. We are now at $100 to open the filter, $172 for internal filters, $300 to replace plumbing, The Cement slab had a crack so replace that also. I asked, so what was the $100 for? Jeff stated that was just for the cleaning. I then advised him to put the filter back together as is, I then Proceeded to A "real pool" company and purchased a Brand New Hayden DE 36 Sq Ft Filter with plumbing and filters and install for $800. My hope is it will last another 15+ years. Felt Jeff Hayden is a nice guy. However, unless you have a brand new system, or one that is only a couple years old..I felt the deal offered was a wasted $100.

I called Jeff because my pool was looking cloudy and I was having problems controlling algae growth. Jeff came by within a day and suggested that the problem could be high phosphates. He treated the pool a few days later and in a few days the pool looked great.

I'm disappointed in how this all turned out. We were in need of a new pool serviceman so I went to Angie's List to look over the reviews. Jeff Hayden has great reviews so we went with him. Within a few months we could see the change in service level. He literally would be in and out of our backyard in 5 minutes. I was home at the time he was stopping by....not just once or twice, but many times. You can't vacuum, skim and check the filter system in 5 minutes. Not even if you're Superman! On one specific occasion I was outside chatting with him about what needed to be done on the pool. I quote, "I only clean pools that are self-maintaining." I'm sorry, what? So you only want to clean pools that don't need cleaning? What's the point in having a pool serviceman then? To me, that's just lazy. Granted, our pool is not brand new. It does not have this state-of-the-art blow-your-mind pool system. It's like any other pool system. With time, things need to be repaired or replaced, but COME ON. He was always finding an excuse for the pool to look dirty. I should not be able to walk outside 10 minutes after he has left and STILL see dirt and debris at the bottom of the pool. If it was up to Jeff we would be spending thousands on replacing anything and everything on the pool only for it to still look half a**. We replaced all but two pop-ups and yet he still didn't think it was cleaning the pool. The acid wash we paid $500 for showed no results. :[ That is my two cents worth. Maybe we're the minority on having issues with his service, but I felt the need to at least get my review out there so you are not totally blindsided. We don't hate Jeff. We're just not impressed with what he has to offer. Cutting the ties with each other was mutual. In all honesty, it needed to happen sooner than it did. I can only hope this doesn't happen again. :[

Showed up when he said he would and explained what was wrong with my pool, repaired everything that needed to be repaired. Was very honest and professional. They are now my pool service company.

Jeff set up a time to review my needs and quote a fair price. He was here on time and completed the job when he said it would be done. A true pro with knowledge and customer service.

After researching pool service and repair companies on Angie's List, I called Jeff Hayden, owner and operator of Hayden's Pool Service, to discuss a stain and potential repair issue with my pool. Jeff arrived the next day right on time - after giving me a 30 minutes out courtesy call - and looked the pool over. He suggested an acid wash and tile clean which I agreed to. He also called a gentleman from a plaster repair company to see if he could come over to check a potential plaster repair issue. That gentleman arrived the next day, looked at the spot, and suggested that we take a closer look after the pool was drained. I already planned on draining and refilling my pool since my TDS was very high. As a result, Jeff gave me a bit of a price break on the acid wash since he didn't have to drain or refill the pool. The spot on the bottom of the pool didn't require plaster repair and Jeff completed the acid wash just as Jo showed up to do the tile cleaning. After all work was completed, Jo cleaned out the bottom of the pool and I began the refill and startup process. The pool looks much better than it did. Everything went according to plan. Jeff was personable yet professional and my Akita, who is suspicious of strangers, took a liking to him. The price was on the high end of average but was very reasonable and I don't mind paying a little more for great service from great people. Jeff fits that bill perfectly. Jeff's services are highly recommended.

Thanks Jeff for taking care of my pool for the past 2 years. Your service is always perfect. You always take care of any issues I have promptly. The regular maintenance is excellent. I forgot to write a review when you upgraded my pool pump 6 months ago or so. That was excellent as usual and my utility bills have gone down. Thanks again!!! Carla

The same day I contacted Hayden I was called back within the hour. He came by the same day later that afternoon during the timeframe agreed to. He advised me about the necessary repairs to my system (replace: a broken/leaky/corroded gate valve & replace cracked/missing drain covers). Moreover, Hayden took the time to explain to me about how my pool system works. He also gave cleaning and maintenance recommendations that I could perform for myself. Within 2 days he had most of the repairs complete. Due to the age of my system (17 years old) he was unable to get a new "backwash piston" on the Saturday when he was making his repairs. He was back within a couple of days fixed the system and started it up. My pool is running like a champ. The repairs look good and the pool functions. All his advice was very valuable. Thanks to his help I feel very comfortable with my abilities to take care of my pool. And just in case I get in over my head - I know who to call.

Jeff is prompt and a total professional. Does what he says that he'll do.

We interviewed three pool service contractors. Jeff's price was right in the middle of the others at $90.00/mo. He did a lot more explaining about the pool than the others and did a more inspection and physically checking of the pool equipment when he was out for the interview. He actually spent close to an hour when here to just give the estimate. We have a salt water pool and just recently moved to AZ from Colorado - we had a chlorine pool many years ago in California. Jeff confirms first in advance if anything special needs to be done responds quickly by email if we send him a question about anything. Jeff does all the servicing himself, he does not sent out worker bees. So far we are very satisfied with Jeff Hayden.

Jeff was extremely professional. When I called for an appointment he scheduled me in for the following day and arrived on time. He was diligent in checking all the equipment and showed and explained to me everything that needed repairs. I would highly recommend him for all pool service.

I called for the first time to get pool service and spoke with Jeff. I thought it was so good that he answered right away. He said he was going to come out that day at 4. Then no call no show :(

This is without question the best pool service I have ever used. Hayen has been servicing my pool for the past six months and I am very pleased with the service, They are not only punctual but also offer recommendations to service the pool and equipment. The price is reasonable and the professionalism is excellent!

Jeff was good about keeping in contact, even gave me a follow up call a few days later when I said that I was going to talk to my husband about his findings. When he came out, he reviewed how to run the new system and answered any additional questions I had.

Returned from summer vacation to find our pool was a wonderful green color? Contacted Jeff and he responded to our needs right away. The pool was drained, acid washed, refilled, and a new sand filter was installed. The work was performed on schedule and within budget. I will use their services in the future.

Jeff acid washed our pool, replaced our drain covers, performed reular pool cleaning services, and provided a leaf canister to help keep our pool sparkling clean.

Mr. Hayden Came out to our green pool the same day we called him. He was able to fix the problem that day. We have been very happy with his excellent service and plan to continue with him.

The service was great. They came out, a few hours ahead of schedule; which he called to confirm if that would be okay, and brought with him a couple of guys to remove the old filter and install the new one. They informed me how it works as well as how to maintain it, and repainted the new piping so everything matched. They hauled away the old filter and left my pool looking aesthetically pleasing. Jeff was flexible with the payment and they were overall professional and courteous in their service, the results are great and I couldn't be happier.

Called on Wednesday afternoon. Made an appointment for Friday morning. Jeff showed up on time, reviewed the job, and was finished within an hour. Clean-up was excellent. Very competitive pricing.

Jeff has been providing weekly pool service for us since May and would not think of changing services. We could not be happier with the results. Our pool is always sparkling! We never have to worry about the pool. We have not experienced any problems with the condition of our pool since Jeff started the service. He is punctual and professional. Would highly reccomend this service!
