They are bad!! I give them a big F for not doing proper prep job and using my ladder, and using my dishcloth was rags for paint job. I am minus one for that one. How do I remove paint from the couch. I am more than happy to submit pictures!

t Provider did a good job; however we had agreed that a small hall closet would be included and was NOT, after agfreeing twice to do it. Also they took a good extension cord from our tread mill and left one that was in bad shape. They could not find the nut to put exhaust fan back in the kitchen and made no effort yo get one. Clean up was bad and three light fixtures in kitchen were not cleaned and not put back properly. Also did not put ceiling fan back in 1 bedroom and could not get it right. left a lot of boxes at the side of the house which we had to dispose of. Used recycling bin for their garbage.

Mike very willing to work to our schedule - and still perform very well. "Easily" worked around my messes. Got the work done sooner than expected. A little over spray in kitchen dropped ceiling - but I was repainting any way. He did extra area for no extra charge because it wouldn't look right not to.

The main reason for the estimate was to fix the kitchen ceiling. This provider said he could not fix it and his recommendation would be to call a cabinet company with the issue. Two other sheetrock companies said they could float the ceiling out. Very professional estimate and presentation though.

Mike came out and gave a very detailed estimate including how process would go. Very friendly and knowledgeable. His crew showed up on time and were very professional. No surprises or hidden fees. My friends and neighbors love the way my house looks as much as I do!

We have a house in Ahwatukee, built in 1986 with popcorn ceiling texture on all but the bathrooms. I never liked it because it draws your eye up and looks dirty and old. We have vaulted ceilings so it may have been cool in the 80's, but not now. Being the DIY gal that I am, I attempted to remove it myself after watching numerous videos and reading tons of online articles about how easy it is to remove the popcorn. Well, it is, but to do it is very labor intense, super messy, and cramps your arms something terrible. I managed to get a section of the kitchen done and with allotted 2-3 hours every weekend, it would take me FOREVER. Thank goodness for Angie's List because I found Ceilings, Etc. They were the one company that specializes in this type of removal and had the best report card. I called the owner, Mike, and talked to him at length about taking over my lovely handiwork. Mike answered all my questions and squeezed me into his busy schedule that same week. By Friday afternoon, I would look up with a smile and a sigh of relief that my ordeal was over. Mike showed up on time with a crew of 3 other guys. They were all polite and seemed to really enjoy their work. I asked a million questions about the process because I thought I knew something about it by now, but alas...you can't believe everything you see on the Internet. Basically, these guys were such pros, they had the rooms wrapped, wetted, scraped, refinished, and cleaned up in 3 hours! Much better than the 6 months it would have taken me. Mike is very good at offering suggestions for a finish on the ceiling and they put an 80% smooth finish which is just beautiful. I chose to paint it myself because we are repainting the rooms and replacing light fixtures. Another unique aspect is that these guys refinish the ceiling by hand, not by machine like the companies I saw online. They are true artisans that have practiced and fine tuned their craft. The ceiling looks kind of like natural stone. Beautiful. One ceiling down, three more to go. Obviously, I'll be calling them again.

The whole experience was awesome. I can't say enough about them. They did a great job. They were very professional in the way they gave me the estimate. We had a crack appear and they actually came out within two days and redid it. They were actually fantastic. They were very good on price. I will probably use them for my garage.

From the original meeting to discusss options and pricing, through the completion of the project, all members of the team were not only professional but did an excellent job. They began the work earlier than originally scheduled and from the time they entered our home they worked at an astounding pace. As promised, it was completed in 2 days and they dis a thorough job of cleaning up. I would strongly recommend this company to others.

We received an extensive estimate and explanation of what this company would do if we hired them. We got estimates from three companies on Angie's list and Ceilings Etc. was the lowest. i liked the fact that they specialized in removing popcorn ceilings and included re-texturing and painting in the estimate. (the others did not) We did hire them and they arrived on time and gave a reminder call as well. We did not stay in the house overnight and felt safe leaving them with a key to finish the work. They were finished on time, when they said they would and cleaned up afterward. They moved the furniture they needed to move and replaced it after. Don't get me wrong, having your whole house done makes a big mess. Remember that everything in the house, even the rooms that were not done, will be covered with a fine dust. The ceilings look wonderful, your house looks ten years newer overnight and I feel better knowing that ugly cob webby, stained mess above is gone. I will recommend them to anyone.

I was very impressed with him. He was forthright in his feedback, with a slide show of what the process would be and provided an estimate on the spot. While I have not yet decided who to hire, I am inclined to him even though his quote came in higher than the other quote I received.

Went really well. So happy with the results. Workers were professional, careful and polite, and owner Michael checked everything over at different points in the project. I appreciated the time he spent explaining the whole process at the time of the estimate. We love the lightness and clean look of our new ceilings - they even look higher now. I have a business in my home with a LOT of inventory, which they had to work around. I heard absolutely no complaints or grumbling on their part about that. The project took two days, so we gave them a key and spent the night elsewhere, an extra expense for us, but we enjoyed a nice little summer "stay-cation" at a hotel. The crew cleaned up most everything, but I still had to go over the floors and counters to remove some light residue, which came off easily. We had to change our air conditioning filter, it was caked with plaster dust. Those things didn't bother us. Overall, we are so glad to finally get this messy project done, after procrastinating about 21 years! Our house looks much more up-to-date now.

I am so happy that Michael was very diligent in finding a 2nd leak, I actually thought it had been fixed by someone else!! Michael worked with a crew of 2 of his employees, they set up scaffling, draped plastic over the floors, walls and doorways. Repaired ceiling with new wallboard, primed and painted it. Also re-installed all the insulation lost by falling out when the hole broke through originally. It took two 1/2 days, great job too. Michael and his crew were extremely polite and friendly. We originally called 3 companies, 2 did not show, then i called 3 more, 2 showed, and decided on Ceilings Etcetera out of 3 bids. Has been open for 18 years and he did arrive on time! Michael was the middle bid out of 3 vendors. The lowest bid was only $50 less and the high bid was 40% higher. I own several properties, next time i need this type of work done, i will be calling Michael at Ceilings Etcetera. This property was located in Cave Creek, AZ.

I did not use them because they were too expensive, and the bid I went with was $3500. They are local and they are a family-owned company. I do not if he was just overbidding me, so I would never use them.

They were very proficient with time and professional while work was being done.

I have used this company before, and was so pleased with their work and their price that I called them back again. They are my go to company when I need any of this work done.. Don't hesitate to call them.

Michael Halter was punctual, professional and and did a great job. I was very happy with the results and would definitely recommend him. I also thought that the price was very reasonable.

Excellent experience. Michael gave us a quote on service in winter of 2009. We did start project until July 2010. He honored the quote that he gave us in 2009. He was able to move us into his schedule with a week's notice. He was professional. Our house was left in great shape. We are very happy with the finished effect.

They're wonderful and they came out right away. He's doing more work for me than the other companies that came out and quoted $3000. The price is amazing and they were professional. Everything was just wonderful.

They were a really good crew. They went way above and beyond. We have an elderly mother here, so they adapted around her, so she wouldn?t get confused. Since then we have had other contractors in here who have looked at their work and been amazed at how perfect it was.

I had used Mike's services about 5 years ago to remove popcorn ceiling. The work was done very well back then, so I was very glad to have been able to find him again. I got an immediate return call and set up a time for an estimate. Mike will show you in detail what he is going to do and how much it costs. Nothing hidden. Set up the date and they will be there. Mike and his crew completely cover each room to be done with plastic plus covered the areas in the house where they were going to be walking. They are very careful to keep everything contained within the barriers. The entire areas were completed and textured in a few hours. The area needed to dry. They return the next day to paint and do finishing. The places where I had stepped through were completely repaired with no sign of damage. The area that had water leakage had some warping, but is now completely invisible. Finally my ceiling looks like a real ceiling. Mike and his crew are efficient and very clear on what they are going to do and are willing to make sure you are satisfied.

This is the second time I've had Michael do work for me and he is excellent at his job. The job of removing the ceiling is very messy and he makes sure the work area is incredibly clean when he leaves. He is very professional about his work and is on time and keeps you informed of the progress. I would recommend Ceilings Plus for popcorn removal or other drywall needs. His prices are very fair for the outstanding job he does.
