Mike and his team, Anthony and Adam, are wonderful! In March 2022, they removed popcorn ceilings in seven rooms of my home and finished with a smooth texture that I requested. My home was much cleaner and brighter, as popcorn prevents light from coming inside properly. Removing the popcorn greatly transformed my home! In January 2024, I experienced roof damage and this caused water to pour into my home due to a tear in the roof. The ceilings in my media room, kitchen and dining room were torn out during water mitigation. Due to constant rain and waiting to get the roof fixed; I had to wait until March 2024, to complete the inside repairs. I called Mike with Ceilings Etc. as he and his crew did such an amazingly great job with my ceilings in the past. In three days, they installed insulation, drywall, trim, textured and painted the ceilings and walls. It was fantastic, as I did not have use of these areas for two months. I was 'over the moon' with happiness. I highly recommend Ceilings Etc. and definitely would/will use their services again, if needed.

The Ceilings Etc Team of Mike, Anthony, Adam, and Kelsey did a tremendous job! The whole house interior was properly prepped and taped off. They worked their magic and in just a couple of days, the ugly popcorn is now gone! They also added value by addressing some settling cracks. The new texture and paint they applied is flawless! Bravo!

Mike, Anthony, and Adam were extremely efficient and professional. The bid was immediate and fair. The popcorn ceiling with new texture is gorgeous. My concern about shutters and iron door was quickly calmed as I observed the thorough prep. And the color for all including the walls is beautiful. Quality work. Quality people. Thank you.

One really never pays much attention to popcorn ceilings. They are just there, but WOW what a difference it makes!! Mike and his team did Amazing work all the way down to the finish. So, I didn’t have to spend time painting the ceilings afterwards (who enjoys painting ceilings?!) I’m so happy I decided to get this done and I’m even happier with the finished product!!

Mike contacted us promptly and was very informative about what the job would entail. The price was reasonable and the work was done efficiently and expertly. The entire job took three days but on seeing the results I was ecstatic. The ceilings were beautiful and they did a great job on the painting. They removed our popcorn ceiling over the span of 2 sessions. We had quotes from several other companies that were asking almost double what Ceilings Etcetera was without even painting! They matched the drywall and paint from the rest of the house and it looks fantastic. Would definitely recommend these guys to anyone! If you're looking for the best use of your money go with these guys!

Fabulous....fast....and just beautifully done

We recently purchased a new home, and wanted to remove a wall, remove the popcorn ceilings, paint and tile throughout. Timing was tight as we needed to get the wall out, then do the ceilings, then the paint, in time for the tile guys. Michael was on time and highly responsive. They started and completed the job in time, despite some hiccups with the wall removal which required that they send one of their guys back out to do some drywall repair he added for free. The whole house had ceiling removed, textured, primed and painted in two days. Cleanup was exceptional - even though we told them the whole place was being painted and tiled, so we weren't worried about the carpet getting dirty. Their guys were friendly and professional, and they came in a few hundred dollars less than their competitors. Michael accommodated our schedule (we had to go out of town for a wedding). The job quality was terrific - and I'm pretty picky. The whole house is dramatically brighter and cleaner and looks wonderful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Mike and the group from Ceilings Etc. did a fabulous job making our house look like new! Mike and his presentation of his company and the process they do from start to finish impressed me from the start. He always responded to my questions in a timely manner. The workers were professional and showed up on time and worked really hard to meet my timeline for moving into our house. I love it! I am so thankful I found them on Angie's list and will always be the first company I call going forward!

The workers arrived on time (even early, if I remember correctly). We left and spent the day, night, and next day elsewhere They were done on the second day at about 4:30 PM. The house was left very clean. I wanted the ceilings smooth, not textured. The ceilings look beautiful! There is a 30 day free repair period. Mike came out and fixed 2 small cracks and a few other minor things. I was very happy with the job. The kitchen ceiling had been raised previously, and after the wonderful job Mike's crew did, I could see how bad the kitchen ceiling is (done by another company). I will have Ceilings, Etc redo it. I highly recommend this company!

The crew showed up on time, did an excellent job separating the work rooms from the rest of the house and did an excellent job removing the popcorn material. The job took 2 days (1 day for removing popcorn ceiling & texturing, 2nd for painting). At end of 1st day, they made a pathway between Kitchen and master bedroom so we could still stay in the place and function. Crew was very professional and did quality work. Would recommend them anytime.

The team were extremely efficient, mike and his team fitted us in a week before Christmas with very little notice. They completed the job in two days despite rain in the morning of the second day. Their clean up was extremely good and left us with very little dust. All the team were very pleasant and helpful

They arrived promptly and applied plastic throughout the entire work area. Popcorn removal was seamless and applied smooth coat the same day. Painted the following day and left everything spotless. Mike and his employees were professional and a pleasure to work with. Highly recommended.

They were very professional and on time. The ceiling was great, but the drywall wasn't so good. When they did the drywall, they cut the outlet openings too big. The texturing on the walls was applied too thick. They also left ridges with their joint compound, and didn't sand very well. I also would have liked if they had called back for a followup after the work was completed.

Michael Halter was excellent to work with. He is totally professional, responded to any and all questions in a prompt, courteous manner. Was on time with his crew, did all work as agreed upon, and we couldn't be happier with the job he did. I would recommend him without hesitation.

The project involved drywall installation and repair for a major home remodel. Areas included 4 baths, 3 bedrooms, kitchen/greatroom, garage and utility room. Several areas required matching existing texture. Ceilings of back patio, garage and entryway had to be scraped, screwed, taped and retextured. Interior livable space was all textured to Santa Fe Smooth with bullnose outside corners. Clean-up was complete, including power-washing the back patio to remove all residual from the "mud mixing" process. The job was left paint-ready and I am very pleased.

It went very well! Very smooth. Price was the best I had found. Mike discussed the process with us in great detail before hand. He did exactly what he said he would do and we are very happy with the results. Punctual, efficient, knowledgeable and priced very well. I would highly recommend this company.

This company removed the popcorn from the ceilings in my family room, kitchen, dining room and living room. Michael came over to give me an estimate and showed me photos of the process from start to finish. He was thorough and very professional. The work was completed as promised and to my satisfaction. I did have them return within the 3 month time period for them to correct any small cracks that appeared (and was told this may happen in older homes). They came and completed this work and again were professional, friendly and did a great job. I am very happy with how my 50 year old plus home looks now. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to remove the unsightly popcorn from their ceilings.

He was prompt in responding to my calls. He and the crew that worked were professional and did a great job matching the textured ceilings. The job ended up being more involved than the original estimate, but he was very fair in his pricing with the extra work that was involved.

Contractor left all doors and windows open while working. Since it was raining outside (rare in Arizona I know) the drywall wasn't drying properly. If doors and windows had been closed we could have turned on the heat to help it dry faster. Having all that cold wet weather let into the house I actually got Pneumonia leading to Hypoxia and nearly died a day after they were here. (not kidding). In addition to that disaster the contractors were really messy getting dust from sanding all over the house. We were promised that it would all look beautiful and it would look like they had never even been here. Not true. Place was a disaster with splatter and dust everywhere. They had put tools on our bed, got paint on the entryway concrete wall, plaster dust on everything. They made no attempt to clean up only made excuses. They tried to paint the ceiling before all the drywall was completely dry and ended up messing it up quite a bit. Portions of all three ceilings needed to be redone and the contractor blamed it on the wet weather, the condition of the ceiling prior to working on it, and the type of texture we choose, and blamed his workers for not doing what they were told. He did not want any responsibility for the condition and job not being as promised. The contractor did return and fix major problems (had to in order to get paid) but the end result is just okay looking, it's not beautiful and definitely not worth the price we paid for the work. Guess we were one of the unlucky ones who didn't get the best quality work for their money, but hey at least I survived the Pneumonia!

Fantastic. Was by far the most competitive price, went out of his way to work the weekend, cleaned up as expected. Great to work with and would highly recommend. He brought a computer to show the process and some of his past work which none of the competition did. Very professional, great work.

I have had Mike complete quite a few projects for me over the past 10 years. I originally had him remove my popcorn ceilings. If I knew how painless that job would have been for me, I would have had it removed long before I did. Then he painted various rooms in my old home and now our new home. He is friendly, honest, and trustworthy. I always give Mike a call when I need painting to be done because he is easy to work with, shows up on time(which I can not say about most workman), clean, and has fair prices(no up-charging when he comes through the gates of my community). Two thumbs up/Highly recommended
