They put a full time crew on it and got it all done in 4 days!! Craig helped design, select tile and plants that would work best, and oversaw the execution of the plan. It looks like something out of a magazine, they did a fabulous job. They swept up after each day, and after the last day cleaned up so well you can't tell they were here.

The work was done in two days (demo the first day, new installation the second). The results came out amazing. Our yard was completely transformed with a new modern design. We could not be happier with the results.

I had originally hired an unlicensed landscaper who stopped showing up after only a 1/4 of the way into the job. The work was substandard. AZ Nativescapes rescued me. They came in with a plan that made sense, demo'd the original work done by the unlicensed contractor, dealt with my drainage issues, and provided me with a backyard that will meet my needs and is beautiful. I highly recommend him and will use him again.

Excellent. He came to evaluate the project and look at the property. He came on time and offered suggestions for planting locations and types of trees. He returned as scheduled to perform the work and completed it in 2 days. His crew were very neat and everything was perfect when they left

Craig Rawlings was very attentive to our wants and questions. We cleaned up our backyard grass and put in artificial grass. Craig went above and beyond to make our backyard look amazing. His crew were very professional and completed the job on time.

I was impressed with the owner of the company, Craig Rawling, from our first meeting. I could readily see that he was a professional and knew his trade well. He listened carefully to what I wanted to have done and we met daily to make decisions as the work progressed. The work was completed in a little over a week as promised. There were four to five workers on the job every day. Each worker had a specialty and knew exactly what to do. These men were real artisans and took pride in their work. I was so pleased with the quality of their work that I gave them a bonus when the job was completed. I readily recommend Craig and his company to you.

The owner of AZ NativeScapes called and came to my house the same day I ordered and paid for this service from Angie's list. After looking at the front and back yard bubblers and timer, he checked the electrical/plumbing box and immediately diagnosed and fixed a minor wiring problem that interfered with the timer turning the water on and off (3 years ago the irrigation system installer taped the wires together instead of capping them & the tape unraveled). He replaced the tape with plastic caps I had on hand, tested the system that now was fully operational, checked & adjusted the bubbler heads, and taught me how to operate and adjust the timer. He was polite and extremely helpful.

Craig and his team did an outstanding job. Not only were they able to provide creative inspiration, but they drew on their extensive valley experience to provide technical solutions that are both practical and sustainable. They freshened up the entire landscape, replaced troublesome turf with a beautiful artificial lawn, and re-calibrated the sprinkler system. They were professional, efficient, and executed to a well-planned workflow. The results are outstanding! Highly recommended.

Craigs team were fast and very professional. Craig consulted with me as they started and as the job progressed. We made changes to the original design we wanted on the day of based on Craigs suggestion which made everything so much better. Called to request a quote and Craig called me right back and setup a time to do the quote. Craig was very professional, punctial and listened to all the details of what we wanted done. Craig offered several different design options and quoted them all very fairly. We decided on an option on a Fri and Craig was able to start the work that following Monday, wow! He arrived on time with his crew and went back over the details of the job with me. He organized his crew and they got to work fast. Once the materials arrived onsite he took the time to make sure it was what I wanted/intended. The job couldn't have gone any better, he and his crew did an outstanding job. Following the job we walked the property to make sure everything was satisfactory and went over any details. That was when I noticed they went above and beyond by doing a little extra here and there in places not covered in the estimate, that is what separates you from the competion. Craig and his team did excellent work. They were open to doing the work on short notice and it took only a half day. Craig is a good communicator and clearly explained what had been done and how the system worked. He came back several times to check that everything was functioning properly.

Please contact AZ NativeScapes before the big nurseries! We would have saved considerable money if we had. Luckily, we found AZ NativeScapes through Angie's List. Craig is an experienced professional with an outgoing personality that made this experience all the more pleasant. He truly listened to our wishes and ideas, and didn't get flustered when we added mini projects to our to-do list. In fact, he met us at a nursery and guided our selection for additional plantings. Craig had a clear picture of what would provide the most aesthetic landscaping for us, and has essentially provided an additional living space in our back yard. We would be remiss not to mention the top notch crew Craig employees. They echoed his professional demeanor and experience, and we were amazed at how proficient and quickly they moved through the list of landscaping needs we had. Craig was present for most of the work, and was accessible for questions. He frequently brought us out to see specific portions of the projects to explain the process he was using or the workings of the sprinkler system. We felt connected to everything that was done; even his foreman was considerate of our wishes and did what he could to help us. We appreciated the open lines of communication we had with AZ NativeScapes. Craig was quick to return our calls, answered any and all questions we had, and walked us through the rigors of Arizona plantings. His estimate was fair, and he held true to it without adding additional fees. Without a doubt, we would call upon him again to do any further work, and we highly recommend him based on the excellent work and service he has provided.

Craig was very responsive before, during and after the work performed. My biggest problem was the HOA. They didn't required any changes but it still took more than 2 months to get approval. I told Craig I wanted to go complete desert landscaping. I was tired of paying for monthly lawn service, sprinkler repairs and an increased water bill. I was able to show him a nearby yard that had the kind of dark brown rock I was looking for. He knew exactly what it was and included it in the design. I took all of his recommendations on desert plants and layout. Craig provided me a sketch of what the yard would look like (mounds, river bed and plant placement). This is what I provided to our HOA. The job took 2 full days. Each day, the crew started promptly at 7am and ended about 3pm. Everyone was courteous and respectful. They cleaned up at the end of each day. After the job was finished, they did a very thorough clean-up. I love the how everything looks. I would have no hesitation in recommending Craig and AZ Nativescapes.

Working with Craig was a great experience. He replaced our leaky irrigation system with higher quality product and put everything on a single line which is easier to manage. In addition he replaced several plants and removed 2 trees which were causing issues. He also repaired a leaky pipe in the backyard which had been causing us problems for months. The job was completed on time and everything was cleaned up afterward, in addition Craig stopped by a week later to check on things. Everything is still working perfectly after 2 months. It was a little more expensive than I'd hoped but reasonable compared to other quotes and worth it for the peace of mind knowing the work was done well. Thanks Craig!

Very professional and did a great job!

Craig is the owner. We researched four companies, had three give us quotes. Craig returned our call same day. Showed up for first estimate on time with great ideas using our preferred layout. Had no issue waiting on us getting other quotes and assured us he was competitive. One company took over a week to get back to us by phone and another week to come look at the project. Told us they would have some estimates in the next few days and we have yet to hear back. The other never returned our call. Once we decided to go with AZ NativeScapes, Craig insisted on coming out to meet me in person since I was not at the first meeting. Again, on time, more ideas and we set the schedule. Craig may have some reviews about him not returning calls, returning them late, etc. But he answered us quite truthfully. He did a poor job managing that piece of his business a few years ago and that has not been an issue over the last couple years. We knew this to be true from our research. Day 1 - Craig and crew showed up on time and evidently got right to work. By the time I arrived back from my trip at noon, so much was already completed. They worked all day and past 6pm Day 2 - Yep on time. And I mean 7:30 AM! Crew worked through mid afternoon to complete the job. Craig went through the irrigation schedule, how to add extensions, how to care for each plant and his crew even helped the bulk trash people with our stuff. They left the place clean, too. It has only been a week, but all but one plant seems to have taken well to their new homes, the yard looks amazing.

this provider and his crew was very courteous and professional in every thing they did. From the beginning when he arrived at my home to give an estimate to actually getting my yard restored and looking like a brand new yard. Craig was very responsive, informative and professional. He had the best bid for the project as well as the best attitude. He went above and beyond the job at hand and I couldn't be more pleased. He was even willing to help me pick out trees and plants at Home Depot because I have had difficulty keeping them alive in this environment. His honesty and integrity were refreshing. He came back a week later to check on the project and taught my husband and I how to troubleshoot irrigation issues. Very happy with his work and will use him again!

I was extremely pleased with the work done on my landscape. From the initial meeting with Craig (owner), to plant selection (with Craig), to installation and follow up, it was all done on schedule and exactly to my specifications. Craig is very hands on and is great at making suggestions and coming up with solutions to existing problems. I was a master gardener in Atlanta GA but had no experience with desert plants, so working with someone who has knowledge of what actually works here (as opposed to what the nurseries might try and sell you) was priceless. I would highly recommend AZ NativeScapes and will be using them again in the future!!

Our yard has unique custom landscaping that required a ton of meticulous work to put back together after trenching. The team placed each stone by hand and the yard looks so refreshed!
