I was very pleased with the results. Their price was very competitive. The job was started 5 days after the down payment was made, as promised. The crew showed up on time, finished on time, and did a thorough job cleaning up. The quality of the work was excellent. They checked all of the boxes for a job well done.

They showed up when they said they would ,they were easily accessible for questions and very accommodating with any requests we had, and the property was clean and left spotless. John Shaw Home Improvements company painted the full exterior of my home, including the outside of a very long street perimeter wall. During my interview with John, he explained in great detail their preparation steps, how they would address stucco repairs and other areas as needed, along the type and brand of paint he uses for best results in the desert environment. John sent me the bid within 48 hours; it was competitive on pricing and there were no surprises. John and his crew started promptly on the scheduled date and time. John and his crew are incredibly skilled in painting, stucco and carpentry repairs. They were always very professional and courteous. John was very responsive and took time to answer all my questions throughout the job. Overall, John Shaw Home Improvements was an excellent company to work with, the house looks beautiful! It was an incredibly positive experience and I highly recommend them for your project.

Hired John Shaw to paint the complete exterior of my home, perimeter and pony walls. There was obvious peeling in a few places on my facia board and eves, and the bid was to include stucco texture repair on the perimeter and pony walls. When the job was complete, I had to point out so many missed areas of paint and overspray. After a full day of “touch-ups” the job was still not completed. Many areas of the facia board and eaves were not properly prepped for painting. The stucco texture on the walls was applied carelessly without any attempt to match the existing texture. They got elastomeric and stucco mortar on my patio, walkway, and pool deck. There were paint chips all over my yard. There was paint on so many things that should not have been painted (my $1500 pool pump, pool filter housing, hose bibs (not painted completely, just sprayed), light sockets, windows, roof tiles, and patio furniture. I feel completely disrespected by their lead painter, and let down by John Shaw junior and senior, who said multiple times they were going to make it right, then fail to schedule. They are essentially liars. Painting is about detail, and John Shaw has no attention to detail.

Mr. Shaw and his son are very professional. He kept us up to date on the work that was done on the roof. He presented a very reliable crew to do the work. Great! They did a great job protecting our furniture and floors. They did a fantastic job painting everything including the ceiling. They showed up on time and focused on their job.

John was very professional and prompt. He scheduled the work within 2 weeks of my acceptance of his quote and the job was completed in two days. His to person crew was very efficient and John checked in to start the job off and to finish up at the end of the second day. I would use his services again in another 5 - 7 years if the house needs a touch up by then. Everything turned out great.

In summary, great! I had carefully researched potential companies and went with John based on the strength of his reviews. I can confirm that those reviews are spot on. He was very responsive in our communications. His attention to detail in both the quote meeting and the actual work was great. We knew exactly what we were going to get and he was helpful in advising us in choice of paint and checking with our HOA. Most important, our house looks great!

Outside of house needed a lot of work. Paint, Tile repair, stucco repair. Did an excellent job. Made useful recommendations. Workers were quite cheerful and cleanup was thorough. I thought the price was quite reasonable for everything they did. Would definitely hire them again.

What set John apart of other contractors is his attention to details and his outstanding communication thru out the project. Prior to completing the job, John initiated an inspection with me along his side. His trained eyes caught few minor issues that required some touch up. Great experience. Professionals from beginning to end. Workers were considerate of my property and did a great job at painting and the necessary repairs and extra repairs. Punctual and worked within my tight schedule allowing me to achieve my goal. John gave some suggestions that made a big difference in the appearance of my house (in a good way). The price wasn’t the cheapest and wasn’t the most expensive but John seemed the most honest out of the companies giving quotes on my project. I highly recommend at least getting a quote and meeting John.
