John Shaw responded within 24 hours of my inquiry. The company does not do the type of work I wanted done but they were professional by responding to my inquiry prompty.

This review is from my father. He was extremely pleased with the work. The house looks beautiful, they were very professional. He has recommended them to two other people already. Great job, we are very pleased!

John and his crew did everything he said they would. He estimated the job would take 2 days but it took an extra half a day. His team did not rush to get things done in the 2 days but took the extra time to do it all right. I highly recommend John Shaw!

The painters did a great job painting our house from the prep work to the actual painting. John was very thorough in walking our property and explaining exactly everything they would do and how they would do it. He also made some suggestions that we would not have thought about and were very helpful. John's team was very timely and professional. It was great to work with such a professional team. We were extremely happy with the professionalism of John Shaw...his work was excellent! Work was performed in the amount of time estimated. The workers did great job of cleanup. What impressed us the most is what he was willing to include in his price...the taping on our rear patio ceiling was coming loose and need to be painted. Without asking, John offered to repair the ceiling which we didn't expect. In addition, he painted our exterior wall. We were so pleased that we are having him paint in the interior of our home. You would not regret hiring this company!!!

Great. This was our first experience hiring someone to paint our home so there was a bit of uncertainty about what was involved. John walked us through the process every step of the way from color selection to final completion. John and his crew did a quality job fast and at an unbeatable price. Anyone who has seen the house before and after the painting has positively commented on it. We have already given John's name and number to two friends who are planning to paint soon.

Shaw and his crew did an excellent job painting our home. It had been over 15 years since its last coat and it showed. They replaced a dry rotted beam on the patio and patched 20 years of neglect. They were on time and finished the job in the time quoted. The job it’s self was not complicated, but they were very attentive to detail and the post painting inspection went quickly with only a small number of blemishes needing touch up. With the amount of surface area being painted and stucco being patched having just a handful superficial cosmetic touch ups shows the crew did a good job checking their own work prior to final inspection.

Awesome job! Their work was over and above our expectations. We are out of town owners So I met them for an estimate and all other decisions were made by phone. When I met for final inspection I was impressed by additional work they had performed, how good the house (especially all the trim) looked, everything was clean and they did a fabulous job aesthetically speaking.

They totally revived and rotten and brittle deck into a beautifully sealled and restored deck that is usable once again.

I have a house that was built in 1945 and it was really showing its age. John Shaw Home Improvements did amazing in giving it new life. Enjoyed his crew as they accomplished making my house look wonderful again. Everyone was very respectful, pleasant, and professional to work with. I plan to use them again in the future as the need arises.

John and Charles are friendly, polite and very punctual with returning calls and showing up at the times they set. The prep of the house and yard was meticulous and the painting turned out beautiful. We have additional home repairs we want to have done and would definitely hire this company again!

Overall it went great. The work was performed with a quality process and result. No drama. I received services exactly in line with what was discussed during the quote/consultation. The only thing I would offer as an area for improvement is cleanup after the job was completed. I had to move my potted plants and patio furniture back to their original location. Despite this I would still hire them again as the value to service performed was unbeatable.

It all went very - they were neat and cleaned up after themselves and came when they said they would.
