Arizona Painting Company

We heard about The Arizona Painting Company (APC) on KTAR and decided to give them a try based on Gaydos (Mac & Gaydos Show) high praises over the last few years. We closed on our new home Friday, had APC out to our home for an estimate on Saturday, booked the painters for Wednesday, and our four day paint job was completed in under three days! The quality work performed by Arturo and Juan was second to none. They were professional, listened patiently to our concerns, and did a stellar job painting our 2200 square foot home in what we consider record time.! APC's customer service is fantastic! From Mike, the sales rep, to Kathleen, Ilene, and Jeyda in the office, and Brian the supervisor, all were professional, kind, and did not hesitate to answer questions! They were even willing to start the job knowing that our closing funds might be delayed! We will use them again and in fact now consider APC the only company we will call when we need a paint job completed! Many thanks to the whole team!

The guys did a terrific job. The foreman, Weston Williams was responsive, kept me informed of the progress and most of all was very particular about the job that was done. He even redid an area of the ceiling that he was not happy with that he noticed as they were leaving. He treated his workers with respect and was a gentle teacher.

I have never before this written a bad review of any of the numerous painters and/or contractors we have hired. However, we are very disappointed with the work Arizona Painting Company did in the interior of our house. We hired them to paint both the outside and inside of a home we have recently purchased. The total cost was more than $12,000. While it appears they did an okay job on the outside of the house, the job inside of the house is incredibly poor. To begin with we were not informed they would be spray-painting the interior of the house. After they were finished painting, they asked our son to walk through and identify areas that were not painted correctly. During this inspection, which took almost an hour, he identified more than 50 areas that had not been painted correctly. AZ Painting Company then attempted to correct these problems. However, once they left and the paint began to dry, the repairs did not match the rest of the paint on the walls. True to its word AZ Painting Company attempted to correct these problems a 2nd time. This time they brought a new gallon of paint. We were told the paint they originally used to correct the problem areas had accidently been watered down when the paint sprayer was being cleaned. This was the paint they had left for us. The next day my son found at least 30 more areas that have also not been painted correctly. Rather than have Arizona Painting Company return for a 3rd time my son has decided it will be much easier to correct these additional problems himself. We cannot recommend this painting company.

I hired this Company for painting. when they came to my house to start doing the painting. they decided to calk the un-finish base boards without my approval and the guy names Robert who an estimate has demanded $500 more for the calking. While we were discussing about the calking, he walked away from me. I have recognized that they have done some works. So I offered them $250 if they go ahead and finish the calking. But they abandoned the works. After they have done with the painting. They has unauthorized charge my credit card $250 more then the contract stated. I've called and talked to one gal names Irene about the charge. She said she would call me back immediately after she talks to her manager, but she never did. Three days went by, I called them again and talked to Irene again. She transfer my call to a guy names Brain suppose to be a production manager. We have discussed the situation and he said he will get back with me, but again he never call me back. Two days later, I called them back to try to get a hold of Brian, they told me he was out for lunch. Couple hours later, Robert called me and asked me why I want to get out of the payment. I told him that it was not in the contract and I did not approve the works. I told him that I don't want to talk to anyone who has walked away from me. Later that day, Someone names Joe suppose to be one of the owner of the company called me. We have discussed about the calking and we settled for $125. By the way, It took them two more days longer then they promised when I signed the contract. A month after they finished the painting. The paint is started peeling off the ceiling. I've called them back. It took them 3 days to call me back to schedule for someone to come out and take a look at the paint peeling in 3 weeks. From the start to finish, this I have had a very bad experience with this Company. Their communication is horrible. They went outside the contract without customer approval. And walked away from customer while talking. I would NOT recommend this Company to anyone. As far as the paint peeling, it remains to be seen what they will do about that.

We had some scheduling difficulties prior to the date the work was to be completed. Once it was resolved, the work began and was completed in one day. There were only some minor quality issues that were not brought to the company's attention. The painters were very professional and worked efficiently an effectively. This was the second time we have had work done be AZ Painting Company and would have them do work again.

Went absolutely AWESOME!!!!!! Carlos arrived the first day and power washed everything to start. The crew arrived the second day promptly as promised and began masking off all the windows and doors. They protected all the areas that weren't to be painted which was great. We had pets that had to be periodically let out to relieve themselves and the crew accommodated us without any problems. The entire crew Carlos, Jesus, Eddie and Orlando worked diligently as a team to get this Job complete as it was a extremely the two days they were here. Yet they continued to work in order to get the work done. On the final day, Carlos had us complete a walk through and ensure that we were completely happy with the Job that his Crew had done. We were very happy with the entire crew as they were very professional and personable the entire time they were at our house. Our experience with the Arizona Painting Company LLC was very positive from the very beginning with our estimator Rebecka Bahr to my contact with Irene Zarate in the front office. It couldn't have gone better. Unfortunately, we had little choice in the colors we selected since our HOA only approves certain color schemes. We got several bids but the AZ Painting Company offered us the best option and were able to get out to our home in a week instead of months. The entire project took three days because of the prep time and the weather. The quality of the work cannot be compared. Orlando Espinoza went far and beyond what was required. He patched up all the holes, prepped everything, and was very considerate of our pets' needs. He didn't complain when I asked for a few minutes for my two large dogs to go outside to eat and do their business. The work was done efficiently and in a timely manner. We did a complete walkthrough and he corrected the small areas that needed attention. Overall, we are extremely happy with the customer service provided by Orlando, and the quality of work he delivered. He was friendly, respectful, and professional. The other two gentlemen that assisted were very knowledgeable and professional as well.

We were told we were to pick the Sherwin Williams paint we wanted. We explained we wanted the same 3 colors used up stairs about 2 months earlier and that we would prefer to use the Behr paint from Home Depot since those were the colors we wanted/liked/use up stairs. We were encourage to go to Sherwin Williams, assured they could exactly match the upstairs Behr colors. After TWO trips to Sherwin Williams at Shea and the 101 Freeway, my wife was told they weren't certain they could match the Behr colors and the first trip she was given 6, just 6, papers each with one sample of gray and one each with sample of brown and asked couldn't she pick from those. (She had our Behr paint samples with her both trips.) She went there a second time because the guy from the first visit said if the Sherwin Williams 6 samples of the brown and gray wouldn't work to come back to see what he could do. What he did on the second trip is tell her she had to go to Lowes because he didn't have the equipment to try and match the Behr pain. She went to Lowes, was again told they couldn't guarantee an exact match to the Behr colors but for $12 per small sample they would mix some up samples and let her take them home to see if they were the match we wanted. Arizona Paint Company said they would have a Sherwin Williams Vice President meet us at the Sherwin Williams store if we would go back one more time. I asked what a VP could do if the store doesn't have the equipment to try to match the paint color we wanted. Would he just send us to Lowes as the initial clerk did? Never got an answer to that. After 3 conversations with Arizona Painting, near arguments, explaining that we had no confidence that Sherwin Williams was going to give us the colors we wanted, the way it was settled is that Arizona Painting agreed to get the Behr paint we wanted from Home Depot but we would have to pay an additional $150 for them to do that. Turns out Arizona Painting Company doesn't get the huge discount at Home Depot that Sherwin Williams gives them and explains why they kept pushing Sherwin Williams at us. Giving us the color and brand we wanted would cut into their profit. Their concept of just who is the customer stinks. The quality of the work done in our home by Arizona Painting Company was OUTSTANDING. But god help you if you want something other than the Sherwin Williams paint they push at you. As an aside, a paint called Dunn Edwards was mentioned once but it was Sherwin Williams that was pushed from the get go. Must be where the get the biggest discount.

The team was prompt, experienced, and definitely up for the challenge. They listened carefully to my requests and exceeded my expectations with not only flawless painting skills, but extreme attention to detail and careful cleanup. They did such an outstanding job that I am thinking about the next paint project. Highly recommended.

Our initial contact was with Rebecka. She was prompt in coming out to our home shortly after we spoke. She offered excellent suggestions on paint colors and accents on how to achieve a more modern and updated look. She quickly provided us with a comprehensive, detailed and reasonable estimate. On the scheduled day, Julio and Travis arrived and were a fantastic team. They got right to work, carefully and meticulously prepping the exterior. They were polite, pleasant and aimed to to please throughout the job and left the job site neat and clean each day. In addition, they were determined to get the project done quickly, but efficiently, before the predicted rain was to arrive the next day. They succeeded in doing that. They did an outstanding job painting our home in this oppressive August heat. We are extremely satisfied with the entire finished product. We would highly recommend this company and actually already have done so. I suspect neighbors will want to contact them as well. Thank you to all at Arizona Painting Company that were part of this project.

They were able to come out and give me an estimate within a day or so of my initial call. We weren't sure about color (we knew we wanted something very different than current) and Doug was helpful in giving suggestions and arranged for the order of a couple samples. Only problem is that because they are so great they book up fast so we had to wait about a month and half to get on their schedule. The crew was on time, worked hard, came back for a third day to do touch-ups and the lead, Carlos, was great at communicating what they were doing, when they would be back, etc.

Fantastic! Knowing this was a big job, I started with Angie's list and called five top providers in my area to provide quotes. Four of them returned my calls and came out. Of the four quotes, Arizona Painting was the second lowest, but also very detailed. My Estimator Robert, was very punctual and professional and explained everything they do in detail. They also use top of the line paint which is important to me. The lowest bid I received was not taken seriously as it was one number written on the back of a business card after a cursory glance around the property. The job started on schedule and finished on schedule which was in two weeks. Before that time, major stucco repair was done and given plenty of time to cure, and it looked great. I think I lucked out and got their very best painting crew-Joe and Armando. They were hard working, professional, and conscientious. They worked with us to minimize the disruption when painting around doors, etc. They went beyond the call of duty to make everything look great and discussed the job with me throughout the process to be sure I was happy. Robert, my Estimator also checked in regularly to make sure everything was going to my satisfaction. I had put this job off for a couple of years but am so happy to have it done. The home looks brand new again.

I consider my house somewhat difficult to paint because it's 2 stories with an apex almost 30 feet high and the house has a lot of pop-outs. I felt the price for repainting my exterior was reasonable and the team did a great job. My estimator Robert was helpful selecting the type of paint and tips on selecting colors. He also had a great personality and stayed in close contact with me as I worked to get HOA approval. My foreman Gustavo was friendly, helpful, and took a lot of time to do the job right. The team was also helpful recommending I make a slight modification to my trim color choice to hold up better over time. The wind made painting a challenge on a couple days but the team worked very hard to get the job completed in the initial time frame. I think the exterior paint job looks better than I imagined it could thanks to Gustavo and his team. The lines are clean and I feel like it looks like a new house from the outside. I would recommend Arizona Painting Company again and thank them for doing a great job. Gustavo and the whole team were great to work with.

They were on time and performed the work in complete accordance with the specifications. they cleaned up after the work was completed. The house looks great; we are very pleased with the results.

David and Austin were very responsive to my main concern on this paint job, which was the removal of all the vine feet embedded in the wood from ivy that the former owner had allowed to grow on the wood surfaces. I was very concerned that the vine feet be scrapped off, not just painted over. I walked the project with them and pointed out the ivy feet; much relief they scrapped all the areas where there were vine feet and added a compound into the paint that filled in all the minor wood cracks and nail holes. David kept saying the wood would look like 'new', I was skeptical, but the wood did look new. They applied two coats on all the surfaces. Both David and Austin showed up as scheduled and completed the job in 3 days. After I had paid the total fee and David had left, I noticed a place where the 2nd coat had not been applied. I called David and came by and completed the 2nd coat. David and Austin where a great team, and I would have them back for any of my future painting needs.

I told him I am declining his company for this job. He than asked how could I pass on his great company doing the work for a few hundred dollars more?

Very professional from the initial contact, estimate, and completion of the work. Work was performed by a two man crew, both of which had been employed by AZ Paint Company and worked together for 10 years. They did an excellent job including fixing some stucco problems that I had not noticed. Everything was well masked so there was no over spray. All fascia was had brushed. Clean up was complete - nothing left to do. Price included a $300 upgrade to Dunn Edwards Evershield paint, a five year warranty, and a 10% Angies List discount.

Rebecka was our first contact, arriving on time to see the site and quote on the job. On the walk around I learned things from Rebecka the other potential suppliers had not mentioned. The quote came in well under the next highest which would normally concern me but for my confidence in the company that had referred me to them (iSearch Decor). The work started the following week and took four days to complete. The site foreman, Juan Ramos, kept us informed of what he was doing and was always pleasant and helpful even when I followed him around to remind him of what had been contracted. This included masking some new, recently installed gutters I did not want painted. The flaws in my stucco were repaired and the peeling paint on the trim scrapped and sanded before a primer was applied. Following this they spayed the house. Again, I kept a close on eye on the work being done and was happy to see the paint was not being diluted, just as Rebecka had promised it would not be. At grade level, they raked back the gravel and primed the concrete before painting it to match the rest of the house. The same was done to the vertical surfaces of unpainted stucco on a new raised pool deck. On the last day, I returned home from a morning errand to find Juan on the roof painting the various vent pipes to match the body of the house. This is something that could easily have been skipped and I never would have noticed. The work was performed in a professional manner and on schedule. I am extremely pleased with the results. I would not only recommend these guys, but would gladly use them again for either interior or exterior painting.

Robert sanded and primed my wrought iron fence, that had a lot of rust on it. He then painted a new coat of paint on the fence. The fence looks very nice and Robert was careful about not getting paint on the surrounding areas.

Work was done while we were out of town. A neighbor assisted with "supervision". The painters showed up as agreed and painted the house within the agreed upon time period. We have just returned to town and the house looks great. We are very happy with the quality of the work, plus it survived any and all inclement weather.

The company did not offer the service that it advertises on Angie's List. The company offered an Angie's list prepaid coupon for 2 rooms painted for $795. When I called to schedule the service I was told that there was a 3 full room minimum. I asked why they offered a discount coupon for a service that they did not offer and the staff person was not able to answer that question. Beware and do not purchase any Angie Deals unless you call first and verify that they will honor the Deal.

Very responsive, clean, quick, friendly.

They were very professional, although the job did take longer than I expected. However, their response to the issue was both agile and effective. They assigned additional painters to the job when needed, and even extended an additional discount to compensate me for the unexpected delay in getting the job done. BTW, at least some of the reason for that was due to illness, which they couldn't control (of course).. During the job, their supervisor came over to actually inspect the work - I was very impressed. I cant say enough this company's professionalism and courtesy. Sure, it was a bit rough, but problems happen. The way they responded to these problems is what is important. They were attentive to my needs, and the job looks great! I would definitely recommend them.

Doug Caris came out to the house and did a walk through with me so that I could point out what walls and ceilings needed to be repainted. As we toured the house, he pointed out several things that I hadn't noticed (e.g., "nail pops" pushing out from sheet rock, uneven area around tub enclosure. He provided his estimate within 24-hours electronically. On the scheduled day and time, "Reuben" and "Ramon" arrived and began prepping. They spent most of the day preparing for the painting and painted one room before calling it a day. They returned the next morning on time (and as planned) and finished all of the painting by about 1:30 p.m. PT. By the time I returned to the house 15-minutes after they called, all of the tarps, plastic covering, tape, tools, ladders, etc. was cleaned out of the house. I was impressed that they were able to take down in such a short time, what had taken so long to put up. As promised, the popping nails were reset into the wall and any indentation was filled before painting. The perimeter of the new master shower enclosure was filled and sanded so that you couldn't tell that it had recently been demolished and replaced. The job looked great!

Rebecka provided a well documented estimate on the spot and did a better job of explaining what would be done than the other company we got an estimate from. This made us confident that we were dealing with an experienced and professional company. The painters did an excellent job and we are very pleased with the results. Joe, especially, was very personable and diligent. Overall, we feel like our house looks brand new. Also, several things exceeded our expectations Including the improved look of the side gate (they painted the wrought iron and replaced the wood slats), security doors (they look like new), and replacement of the caulk between the patio and base of the stucco. We also appreciated that the owner came by after and inspected the job to make sure it met the company's standards. I would not hesitate to use this company again for any future painting jobs.
