Description of Work: I called Geno upon a recommendation from another Angie's List member. Shortly after we came down for the winter, two of our baths started having a sickening sewer odor. We tried many home remedies, bleach, vinegar, running water in the drain but to no avail. Could not clear up the problem on our own so contacted GLutz. Geno is professional, knowledgable, and efficient. He spent quite a bit of time assessing the issue. Decided to try a solution to see if it would work and it did. Solution was in the venting. Determined the exhaust was being forced back down into the bath by architectual design with a combination of air pressure and temperature. Geno installed vent tops that are made to pull the fumes away from the vent. It worked very well and we are very satisfied. We will definately call Geno for other plumbing issues.

Description of Work: Fixed gas fireplace that would not light. Problem turned out to be a bad electrical switch, not the plumbing, but Gino diagnosed the problem quickly. He came out on a Saturday morning and adapted to my schedule.

Description of Work: Geno Lutz of Lutz Plumbing did an outstanding job. He was totally professional and on time. He was prepared and addressed my questions. His work was an our longer than he had estimated but he did not charge for it. I had two bathroom sinks and faucets installed and a toilet fixed.

 + -1 moreI HAD FOUR LEAKY PORCELAIN SHOWER VALVES. I HAD SEVERAL PLUMBERS LOOK AT THE JOB. ONE WANTED TO OPEN THE WALL BY CUTTING INTO THE TRAVERTINE TILES TO REMOVE AND REPLACE THE VALVES AT THE COST OF WELL OVER $1,000. OTHERS HAD THE SAME STORY. LUTZ CAME IN AND TOLD ME THAT PORCELAIN VALVES SHOULD NOT LEAK. HE REMOVED THE VALVES REPLACED THE GASKETS AND THE VALVES ARE GREAT.
Description of Work: REPLACED A VALVE KIT IN THE SPRINKLER CONTROLLER. REPLACED GASKETS IN FOUR SHOWER VALVES TO STOP LEAKS. I LIVE IN SCOTTSDALE 85262 WHICH IS RIPOFF CITY WHEN IT COMES TO MOST SERVICE PEOPLE. THAT IS WHY MR. LUTZ IMPRESSED ME SO MUCH. HE IS FAIR AND HONEST.

Description of Work: I had an old pedestal sink removed and new one with new faucets and old shower trim and valve removed and new shower trim installed. He had to climb through the back of my built-in linen closet to reach and did a very careful job. He sometimes underestimates how long things will take, but give you a price up front and does excellent work.

 + -1 moreVery professional job; the bathroom shower faucet internal workings had cracked and the internal parts had to be replaced. The faucet was not a standard faucet and the plumber had to spend approximately 4 hours and many actual driving miles to find the correct replacement part. The plumber then did not charge me for the time/miles he had to take to locate and retrieve the part required to fix the faucet. I, of course, included what I thought a fair estimate of his time and materials in his final payment to compensate his for his effort. The plumber appeared on time and when he said he would appear, was very polite, and I would recommend him to anyone for an excellent plumber who charges a fair price.
Description of Work: Tighten all faucets, repair shower faucet and bathroom sink stop valve. Rest sink in bathroom.

He's honest and genuinely interested in doing the job properly without costing you an arm and a leg. After having several bad experiences with large plumbing companies that overcharged for shoddy work, I couldn't have been happier to find Lutz. I highly recommend him!
Description of Work: Re-seated a toilet, removed an ornery kitchen faucet that was fused to the pipes due to corrosion, and installed a new kitchen faucet.
