Description of Work: New dryer and installation.

Description of Work: Fixed our front load dryer and cleaned out the dryer duct.

Description of Work: Richard came in late on a Saturday afternoon and explained to us that unless he could hear the compressor making certain types of different noises. He could not determine the cause of our refrigerator shutting down for over an hour with the frozen items beginning to thaw. Since the compressor came back on just before he arrived at our house, he tried to duplicate what had happened previously. He tested the temperature increase but the refrigerator was then working normally, and he stayed for almost an hour but nothing went wrong. He then told us how to monitor the two thermostats I purchased from home depot and the range of temperatures that would be normal, and what to watch and listen for when the compressor kicked off and how long before it came back online. He charge $75 and said when it reached the point of shutting down for certain period of time to call him and he would try to return asap. When it goes out completely he said that the $75 would go toward making the repair. He did not try to guess at fixing something and then something else was the cause. He is very knowledgeable and myself being a certified computer technician could tell he knows his electronics. I definitely want him working on my appliances if they are in need of repair.

Description of Work: Our washer quit in the middle of the rinse cycle, of course. We pulled up Angie's List and called Appliance Pros. The scheduler stated a repairman would be at our home the next day between 10 AM and 12PM. Richard Black arrived and diagnosed the problem immediately. . . . the pump. Richard had us up and running in less than 1/2 hour. We felt the fee was reasonable and he gave us a discount because we are an Angie's List member. We will definitely use him again, should the need arise.

Description of Work: He replaced the ice maker and inlet valve on my Kenmore refrigerator. After that was completed I mentioned that the ignitor in the gas oven which he had replaced in April 2012 did not seem to be operating as it should. He opened up the oven and evaluated the situation (it wasn't starting the way it should) and decided to replace the ingitor. He did so and the oven started as it should and seemed to operate correctly. He felt that the original replacement must have been bad. He did not charge me for that labor or ignitor. He did offer and give me a discount for belonging to Angies List.

Description of Work: Service was prompt. The advice not to repair my washer, but buy a new one was not in the company's best interest, but mine. I will definitely use them again, should the need arise.

Description of Work: My 15 year old GE dishwasher wouldn't drain properly. Via Angie's list I called Appliance Pros and explained the problem. Within two hours a technician arrived, diagnosed the problem and recommended that I replace the washer with a new one. The cost of repair would have been about 50% of a new machine. It is an old machine and I appreciated his recommendation. This was my first use of Angie's list, and I was plesed with the result.

Description of Work: EXAMINED 4 YEAR OLD BROKEN BOSCH DRYER AND RECOMMENDED NOT REPAIRING AND RECOMMENDED NEW SPECIFIC WHIRLPOOL DUET SYSTEM. PURCHASED FROM SEARS INCLUDING MATCHING WASHER. THEY DID NOT PROFIT FROM THE RECOMMENDATION AND WERE VERY HONEST WITH THEIR APPRAISAL. WOULD DEFINETLY USE AGAIN

Description of Work: We have an OLD side-by-side refridgerator -it wasn't cooling and the ice maker was completely broken. Richard came out immediately, was very nice, and fixed it like new.
