The toilet had not been flushing properly. Cory inspected the toilet and pointed out to me the worn parts that were causing the problem. The cost of replacing the parts would have been nearly half the cost of a new toilet, so I opted to buy a better model toilet that uses minimal water. Cory came the next day and did the installation quickly and very professionally.

septic tank

After we had the holding tank for our septic system pumped out, Cory inspected the pump and determined that it was burned out, which I had suspected. He came the next day to install a new pump with a higher horsepower rating. When removing the old pump it was apparent that there was a great deal of pressure in the pipe. Since our house is quite a drop below road level, this was not surprising. With the new pump installed it was apparent that something more was involved as the pump could not handle the pressure being built up. With help from the previous owner of the house, Cory found a connection where the wastewater pipe had gone to the leach field distribution box. By opening the valve to the lateral system a good flow of wastewater was established. Cory determined and I agreed that the problem was with the Village Wastewater system, but that the original lateral system would work fine for many years if needed. I had Village Wastewater come out the next day and found that their system would require a pump that would push the wastewater uphill for a further half mile to their mains. This excessive distance is undoubtedly what overtaxed the original pump that had been in use less than 5 years. Two men from Allied came out the next morning to see if I wanted them to find a stronger pump to connect to the city system. I showed them what Cory had done to solve the problem and confirmed that the city system is not actually a sewer system but only handles the wastewater overflow from our septic tank. With this information in hand, I decided to stay with the solution Cory had come up with as this will be trouble free for many years as opposed to the city system that is likely to burn out pumps every few years. I was very satisfied with Allied and with Cory's problem solving to come up with the best long term solution for us.
Description of Work: Replaced wastewater pump and solved the problem that caused the original pump to burn out.

Excellent work. They systematically found the problem in the system. Two previous plumbers had given us higher prices to fix the problem which turned out not to be the problem at all. Very efficient and communicative. They spent 3 days working on the system. $350 of the $1750 was the cost of the truck used to drain the pump box. Highly recommend!

The first plumber to respond was one that had installed a toilet on one previous occasion and remedied a clogged sewer line on another occasion. I had injured my back and was unable to do even the simplest of repairs around the house at the time. I explained this to him and mentioned the fact that while we intended to do a major remodel when we have more time and money, that at the moment we were just trying to make this 1920's house sparkle in spots that had seen a lot of abuse before we purchased it about a year ago. All went well until he said he was going out to his truck to write up the ticket. While he was gone, I noted that he had not changed out the tub filler nozzle. When he came back into the house, I was holding the old one and the new one, and asked him if they were usually compatible. He said they have many different types. I started to ask for some tips about completing the job myself, but he backed away, saying he had already called his next appointment and had to leave. He said this as he was walking out the front door. With muscle relaxers and pain killers coursing through my veins, I was even more sluggish than usual, but later, upon relaying the story to my wife, she was upset that I had not pushed harder for the last, and more visible, part of the tub fixtures to be replaced. I called the company and, despite reaching the answering service, they were very polite and responsive, resulting in the second Allied plumber, Edward Mote, calling me almost immediately. Mr Mote was just completing an assignment in Rogers, AR, about 45 minutes away, then had to travel another 40 minutes to do a job in Fayetteville, AR., but would come straight to Siloam Springs to complete the job that the previous Allied plumber had failed to finnish. This was GREATLY appreciated, as it got me out of the proverbial doghouse, AND my wife's long-lost relatives were due to arrive the very next day. Unlike the first plumber, this one, Mr. Mote, was engaging, resourceful, and completed the job in less than fifteen minutes, even though he fixed another small issue that none of us had even noticed before. To cap off a great service call, Mr. Mote thanked me for my service to the country, and refused payment, saying that the first technician should have fixed it while he was here. If I owned a company, especially one that frequently services small towns like ours, where word-of-mouth is a major factor in repeat business, I would seek out and hirel Thanks for the quick response and for hiring and hanging on to such a fine, ethical, and efficient technician. I am OUT of the doghouse now! Tim Rogers
Description of Work: Replaced bathroom faucet and drain plug. Replaced tub drain plug and plug cover plate (could not replace tub faucet due to need to cut hole into wall behind the faucet). Replaced two drain plugs in second bathroom.

We started having backup in our toilets. We have a septic tank, so we figured it had something to do with that. Allied Plumbing had great reviews, so I called them. The lady that answered the phone was very professional and said she would have one of the guys call us back. She also said he had a full schedule, so she wasn't sure how quickly he could make it out. So, just in case, we called someone that had been recommended to us. He was able to come out quickly. That's why I canceled Allied Plumbing. Added note- I asked the plumber that came out if he was on Angie's List, because I didn't see him on it. He said no, and he didn't want to be on it, because he had all the business he could handle. I left it at that, and won't give him a review. But he did solve our problem!

They came out and checked how everything was working. He tried to snake the non-working toilet from the inside and after that didn't work he snaked it from the outside main drain. One problem is that our main drain had been over grown and we had to locate it. Once we found it, I would say that it only took 15 minutes to get the plumbing back into working order. I also advised him that one of our outdoor water spigots was not working properly. He had the parts in his vehicle and had that fixed in less than 5 minutes. These guys are great and they did a great job.

They were very responsive and took the time to educate me on proper maintenane of a septic tank. This is the first home we've owened on a septic tank so this was important to us. They did the work quickly and when they said they would. Great job! We're asking them back to provide an estimate on running a gas line for us.

In April they came out and fixed a leak we had between our house and the water meter. It was about 700.00 because they had to dig 3 feet to find the pipe but they were careful and did a great job. We had another leak we thought was from the same area a week ago and they came out to check it again. They said it would be no charge if it was the same leak. It was not (my husband verified this). So, because of a homeserve policy we have, we have to use someone else to put a new pipeline in. Allied also put in some kitchen plumbing for us during a remodeling stage this week too. They are friendly and professional, but at times are not punctual. We would use them again.

I called three plumbers for quotes. Allied Plumbing was a free quote and the cheapest quote at $2750 plus tax. In short make sure to get your quotes on paper before the work starts. When quoted verbally I was told that everything would be completed including electrical work. I was also quoted for a 199,000 BTU Tankless Gas Water Heater a navien npe-240a. When the installed showed up they had a navien npe-210a at @180,000 BTU and was told its just as good and there is no price difference. (I should have said no at that time and ask for the unit quoted of price difference) About half way into the install I was told I will need to get a electrician to install a wall plug for the unit. Good thing I know how to install a wall outlet myself because that was not cool. They took all the trash but did not sweep up the dust. Now with all that I am still happy with the install, they were fast and efficient at the install and answered my questions as best they could. The install took about 6 hours or so.

We noticed some puddles in the yard that we suspected were from our aging septic system. Fearing the worst we set out to find a plumbing company that we thought we could trust. After reading several reveiws on Angie's List and other sites we decided to give Allied Plumbing a call. These guys came out the same day and inspected the septic system. They gave us a best and worst case scenario and we cossed our fingers hoping for the best. After three trips our D box was inspected, septic lines were flushed out and found to be functioning (yay), the tank was pumped and a new baffle and tank lid were installed. What could have been a $8000.00 or more nightmare turned into a doable $2000.00 repair job. I would recomend Allied Plumbing to all my friends and family...and Angie's List members!

Had BIG issues with septic laterals seeping up through ground. Very worried we were going to have to dig new laterals and tear up the yard. They checked out the D-box and decided the best way to handle was to pump the tank, jet the lines and added shocker. As of today 1/3/2015 we have not had any further problems. VERY grateful for their expertise. Will use them from now on when tank needs pumped or any other issue surfaces!!!

Very professional. Service was performed as expected. The only issue was they were originally supposed to be out to provide service a week earlier and call before they came. When I didn't hear from them, I called back and was told they had a problem with one of their trucks and they would not be able to come until the next week. They did show up the next week as promised, and I was very happy with their work and professionalism.

The repairman was on time and professional - beat me to the house and my son let him in. We had purchased a home that had been empty a while so had him check out the jacuzzi which turned out to be just a flipped breaker and while he was waiting on me to get there he went ahead and checked the pressure in our lines and got it where it needed to be which was much appreciated. I would never have known that it was lower than it should have been. Once I got there he asked if there was anything else needing done since the service call included an hour of his time so I looked at the new dishwasher in the garage I planned on installing that weekend and asked if he could get that done in the allotted time and he said no problem. We did have a leak due to a fitting the next day but it was not due to his quality of work. They went ahead and sent someone out and they got us back up in running in no time at no cost. Both of the guys they sent were very polite and professional and very mindful of our light colored carpet while in the house. Very respectful of our property. Highly recommended.
