Took too long and then wanted to charge too much for the simple fix

They were easy to schedule. I could have had them come same day but I didn't feel this was urgent since the drain was slow, not totally clogged. They arrived on time and I was able to use my Angie's List $15 coupon on the service charge. Ramon was great and he also gave me some advice on some questions I had about my home plumbing in general. They were prompt at getting the work done and very professional and pleasant. I have some additional work to be done in the future and I will definitely be calling Allied.

My family woke up to no hot water in our house. I called Allied at 7am and they agreed to work us into the schedule for the day. Raymond came out and diagnosed the issue in about 20 mins, and informed me that the water heater would need to be replaced. As it was the end of the day, and I didn't want Raymond working until 10 that night, I agreed that they could return the following morning to change it out. Raymond got the old one working enough that my wife and daughter could shower. The next day Raymond got the new one installed and running. When I spoke with him, he insisted that I get home from work and check everything out before he would call the job done. I really appreciate this level of service. Raymond did a great job and the unit is now up to code and worry free for me!! Allied has a lifelong customer now!

Joe fit us into his tight Monday-morning schedule and was at our house about 10:45 a.m. with my new tank. He and Austin set right to work and had everything finished within an hour. Joe made sure we had a maintenance manual and took the time to show my daughter and me how to restart the pilot if it should ever become necessary. They cleaned up after themselves and were respectful of our property and were very courteous. We would definitely hire them again.

Joe called 45 minutes before arriving to let me know he was on his way. When he arrived he greeted me and was very professional and courteous. I showed him to the bathroom where the compromised toilet was and began asking him all sorts of questions about how he planned to do the repair, and he patiently answered them all, while at the same time making sure I understood the risks and unknowns since this was a broken piece of PVC attached to the sewer line going into the concrete floor. After removing the broken flange, he realized the pipe underneath was cracked all the way down to the elbow several inches below. He immediately came to tell me what he had discovered and updated me with his plan. He had a nifty bit that would allow him to cut the broken pipe out from the inside, leaving a nice surface in the elbow to glue the replacement pipe into. It seemed like almost no time went by and he came to me again to let me know the repair had been completed and the valves had been replaced. When I got to the bathroom to take a look, the toilet was mounted and everything was cleaned up. He demonstrated with a quick flush. Nice! We may have both gotten lucky on this one, but I think this illustrates the caliber of talent Allied retains. I'd hire Joe (and Allied) again in a heartbeat, and I guess I did because this is not the first time Allied has provided services for me.

The work was done by Raymond with Allied Plumbing and he was polite and knowledgeable and the part of the yard that had to be dug up was left hard packed and appeared disturbed as little as possible. I would highly recommend him and Allied to anyone!

Raymond fixed the leak the same day we called Allied Plumbing. He also came back and installed the new faucets as soon as we got the needed materials. Raymond was professional and communicated with us well. He was very skilled and the price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend their services.

They were the only plumbers who responded to multiple calls and emails. They were great and helped walk us through our first major plumbing repair.

It was great and painless. The guy was very professional and showed up very promptly. He pointed out that if the water heater has a bigger problem in 30 days that they'll credit this work and parts toward the new one. I was impressed by Raymond!

It was a fairly simple fix and they found other things to fix that we didn't really necessarily need and then they charged me. They said I needed a new regulator and so I got a new regulator and then the other part was a ball valve that was for the house. Then the rest of it was just little pieces of plastic that they used to fix it instead of replacing it with a tamper and then they clip it instead of soldering. They really charged me like triple and the price of the parts was triple if you go out there.

Called around noon. Ray was onsite by 3 and had the issue fixed by 330.

Jose and Raul were very friendly and professional and used premium parts. They explained every step and what they were doing and answered any questions I had. This is the second time I have used Allied and if I ever need help with my plumbing they will be the ones I call again. They were in and out within 45 minutes and the total bill was very reasonable. I couldn't be happier with their work.

These are great people. I scheduled the appointment, they called and told me when they would be at my house. They were on time. and were very professional. The drain is clear and water is flowing again. I strongly recommend their business.

The guys from Allied (Raymond & Caleb) were on time, found the leak and repaired it in less than 2 hours. Before the work started I was envisioning hole cut in the dry wall throughout the house as the team tried to find the leak. Instead Raymond and Caleb found the leak with only one hole being cut in the wall. These guys are great! We've used Allied before and will use them again.

Allied came out the very first day I called - after hours - to attempt the repair. It wasn't able to be done and so they said they would contact me and order the necessary parts. I didn't hear back from them so after almost two weeks I called them. They had experienced some miscommunication about the repair and said they would be out to conduct the work in the next two days. Still, they never came. However Monday of the following week, they called me, apologized, and came that day to do the work. They did not charge me as a result of the communication miscue. I would reach out to them again in an instant. They do great work and hold themselves accountable for errors. Thanks Allied.

We had our water heater go out on Thursday night. Friday morning, I called Allied to come out and repair, I got the afterhours service and they took down our information and would give it to the office once they opened at 8am. Around 8:30am, I received a call from the office. We scheduled a service window between 1:00pm to 5:00pm. We had an event to go to that evening and I told them I would need to leave the house at no later than 5:30pm. They said they would put me right after lunch to make sure he had enough time. I took the afternoon off of work to be home for the appointment. At 4:00pm I called them back to find out when the plumber would make it to the house. I was told I was next and that they have had several emergencies that day and were behind. The plumber called me back at 5:23pm to tell me he was on his way. I informed him that we were leaving in 7 minutes and asked if he could come out in the morning. He said he could but it would be at time and a half on all labor. I asked him since he missed his scheduled window if we could skip the time and a half. He said he could not authorize that and I had to talk to the office. I called the office and got the answering service again. I explained the issue and was told I had two choices: 1) Leave a message for them to call me back which would not be answered until Monday or 2) schedule an afterhours service call and then pay the time and a half. I asked if I scheduled the appointment, would anyone call me first to discuss it. She said no, I would have to pay the extra money. She was not willing to bend or help with anything else. So I informed her to forget it and I would go with a different company. These guys may be great and do a wonderful job, but they are depending on an answering service that could not care less about customer service. Due to that, I was happy to use another plumber who actually answers their own phone and cares about their neighbors.

They sent out a Leak Detection technician the next day. He did a great job pinpointing the source of the leak (i.e., dead center under the tape marks he left on the concrete.) The next day Allied Plumbing sent out Ray and Kaleb to perform the pipe repair. They were prompt and ready to work with all the tools necessary to complete their task. They both were very knowledgeable and professional doing the actual work. The process requires cutting a hole in the concrete with the appropriate tools. After removing the concrete pieces and rock material in the problem area; they have to hand dig down to the pipe that was leaking. Fixing the leaks required cutting out the bad section of copper pipe and "silver soldering" a new section in the water line. The last step is filling the hole and replacing the concrete. Ray and Kaleb both take pride in their work and do a great job. They represent Allied Plumbing very well. They are friendly and easy to work with; their explanations and communications are clear and concise. The customer concerns are listened to and is kept informed.

The toilet had not been flushing properly. Cory inspected the toilet and pointed out to me the worn parts that were causing the problem. The cost of replacing the parts would have been nearly half the cost of a new toilet, so I opted to buy a better model toilet that uses minimal water. Cory came the next day and did the installation quickly and very professionally.
