Plumbing problem or issue: In my old house built in the 1930's, the lead-caulked cast iron flange was set too high off the floor and was angled badly. The riser pipe is also cast iron. Because of this poor installation, the toilet didn't set on the floor properly and eventually started to leak and damage wood in the floor below. The house is a single story structure and has a crawlspace rather than concrete slab. After examining the problem on his first visit, Larry or David (sorry, don't remember which) spent a lot of time making sure I understood the plumbing problem and my options. Their solution: They cut away about one foot of the upper portion of the cast iron pipe with flange and replaced it with a PVC pipe with attached PVC flange. Old cast iron pipe and new PVC pipe were joined with a rubber gasket with ring clamps. They used long lag screws or bolts to fasten the flange to existent wood below the floor. They then installed the new toilet and caulked with transparent sealant.

They do a lot of different thing. He was very friendly n a good way. He had bedside manor and was easy to get along with. He pointed out the most economical and easy way to do things. He is very responsible and his prices are real good.

We are happy to rely on them when we have a plumbing issue, and we were very pleased to receive additional work provided under warranty. After receiving an alert from Benton Utilities that we had unusually high water usage over the last month (which was increasing in severity on a daily basis), I looked up plumbers on Angie's List. I called Neighborhood Plumbers and left a message with some details. I received a return call within less than a half hour. I explained to Larry what the Utilities said and gave him a run down on what I had checked and what I expected may be the problems in this house that we had recently purchased. We agreed on what would need to be our first line of defense in getting hold of this problem. Larry asked me when he could come to give me an estimate, but I told him I needed the work done and to just give me a basic idea of his charges, which he did. Based on that conversation, I figured it would run about $500.00 ... and, with what all he was going to do, I was going to be happy with $500.00. I was hoping that figure would hold, but was worried, I'll admit. We scheduled his services for February 9, 2012. He arrived promptly, even calling me before he got there to let me know exactly when he would arrive. We did a walk through of the entire house and 4 areas of suspicion, regarding the high water usage. He jumped right in and began the work. My final bill was $483.55. My high water usage is solved. Whether Neighborhood Plumbers knows it, or not, they are now MY plumbers. I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone in Central Arkansas.

I received a call from my elderly mother stating that there was a flood in the utility room of her house. I called Larry at Neighborhood Plumbers and he arrived within the hour. I was out of town when this happened, but he called me frequently to keep me informed of the situation. A clogged sewer pipe was causing the problem. Unfortunately, the entrance to the pipe was under a garden shed that had been erected by the previous owners. He managed to use his truck to pull the shed into the yard (with my permission) so he could get to the pipe. He fixed it immediately, added a safety valve which had been missing, and helped clear the water in the utility room. He then explained that I would need a restoration service to clean and disinfect the room since the room was contaminated. He made sure my mother was alright and had running water before he left. He came back twice to make sure everything was in order. Larry went out of his way to provide quick service and a safe environment for my mother. He is an excellent plumber and a wonderful human being. If you ever need any plumbing work at your home, I can speak from experience that he is the best!

Larry and his son were very prompt and courteous. Their estimate of approx $500 was half of what another plumber had given me. I hired them, and they came out a few days later to do the install. After they drained and removed my old water heater, they realized they needed another part. So they hooked the old water heater back up and said they would call me the next Monday to reschedule. On Tuesday I called them, and we rescheduled for the following Monday. The Saturday before that appointment, Larry called me to say he was shutting down his business and could not install the water heater. By that time I was at the end of the return window for the water heater I had purchased and tired of the hassle of trying to get it installes, so I returned it. Unfortunately when Neighborhood Plumbers had removed and reinstalled my old water heater, they damaged the pressure release valve. So I had to pay another plumber $135 to come out and fix it.

I was very pleased with them. They came out within 24 hours of my call and the price was very reasonable; he was only here for about 10 minutes and he didn’t charge me for the full hour. He was very polite and it was a good experience so I will certainly use them again.

His prices are very fair and the qualilty of his work is excellent. He is very punctual and professional. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with his services.

Honest, good value, dependable and personable and very knowledgeable and he is very professional and I would recommend him. He did great work and I trust him.

This work was done by Neighborhood Plumbers out of their office in Atkins, Arkasnas. However, plumbers from Little Rock came to the jobsite at least once. I have been remodeling an old house and foolishly had someone who did not know what they were doing to install the drain lines in the crawl space under the house. Neighborhood plumbers came in and took the botched job out and replaced all the drains and finished the job up. They have been back to the job over and over again doing little odd and ends to wrap the job up completely. They did a good job on what they did and have given me excellent service.

It was great that these men knew how to track a leak all the way through a wall behind a closet and patch it up as fast as they did. They were courteous, answered some of the questions we had really nicely and the price was good considering the time they spent.

We received excellent plumbing services from the Neighborhood Plumber. We actually had several pipes that needed to be replaced. From what I understood, they had burst because there was too much pressure.
