+ 0 moreThe job went well. They inspected the gas flow and line ,determined that there was water in the line and the 49 year old line was rotted ,later confirmed by the gas co. They completed the Job in a timely and professional manner . They estimated the job to be between 2,000 & 2,500. The final bill was on the low end at 2,096.00 . We are extremely pleased with Westark and will use them again.
Description of Work: Replaced gas line from meter to house about 150 ft and had to dig under the sidewalk. Relight water heaters and check furnaces.

+ 1 moreAs noted above, I am so very happy I found this company and these people. They were just so wonderful to me, so good at what they did. I still feel bad for the guy who put in the drain access.
Description of Work: First, in February last year, water heater leaked. They came out, turned off the WH, and capped the water pipe. Didn't charge me anything. Few days later, I purchased a new WH from them. Took over an hour to install, including putting a line in old one to drain it out a nearby window. I looked up the product on the web - got a better deal from them. Charged me only for a valve and the WH - no labor. Called them back within a week because the water wasn't very hot. They came out and set the temperature control up - didn't charge me. Second, in July 2012, had toilet overflow. Soaked that bathroom, a connecting bathroom and two closets. They came out right away even tho it was the weekend. Found drainage was backed up (no big mess, other than water, thank goodness). Within 2 days, a guy came out and put in an access port in the front yard, and fixed where an adjoining pipe had broken away - and tree roots were growing inside. Hottest day in July. I felt so sorry for the guy. Took him nearly 4 hours to complete. Their bill was under the original quote. I'm pushing the company where I work to use them. These people are great, and courteous, and professional! I'll never use any other plumbers than Westark Plumbing!

Description of Work: Westark repaired and attached drain pipes from a kitchen sink and laundry area that had fallen apart years ago (unbeknown to me) and replaced all drain pipes that were incorrectly installed in an added bathroom. All of this after numerous other plumbers had missed all issues!

+ -1 moreStarted at 9:30 in am and was finished with the project about 6:00 pm. Had to also replace and install 3/4 inch gas pipe from exterior of home through a brick exterior in order to have the right size gas pipe for gas. Drained and removed old hot water tank. This was an 80 gallon tank so was no small feat. Removed old elictrical wiring form hot water tank. Installed the new tank less hot water system and all associated plumbing and wiring. Reinstalled new plumbing lines and reinstalled wiring for tank less hot water system. Had electricians in to switch electrical line from 220 to 110 for new panel.
Description of Work: Removed old hot water tank and switched to tank less hot water system. Installed individual hot water heaters under sinks in two bathrooms.

Each time the men who came were friendly and got to work immediately. They handled the repair quickly and well, then were on their way.

+ -1 moreWhen we discovered the outside water faucet was leaking, I called Westark Plumbing because I had used them once before and was pleased with their work. Both times the phone was answered quickly when I called and they listened to my problem and set up an appointment. Both times, a technician either came out that day or the next, which was sooner than I had expected. Both times, the technician saw what the problem was, told me what they would do, gave me an opportunity to question their progress and their price and then did the work. I called them the first time because I saw them listed on Angie's List.
Description of Work: We have used Westark Plumbing twice, once in March and again in June. One time was a comode repair and one was an outside water faucet that included their having to cut away a section of wall to get to the problem. The work was done well and quickly. We had different service technicians each time and both times were pleased with their work and the price.

+ 0 moreWe had a drain that goes to both our kitchen sink and our washing machine. This drain became so clogged that I couldn't use the dishwasher, and every time we used the washing machine, it would overflow, so we started running the hose out the laundry room window. I called the company the day before, pretty late in the day. They sent someone out first thing on the following morning. It took him between an hour and a half to two hours to do the work, and he didn't dilly dally around. He worked hard to make sure we had a working drain again, and his hard work paid off. He was very efficient, knowledgeable, and fair. I will definitely call this company again for any future plumbing problems that arise.

+ 0 moreVery bad company. My previous report on here was commented on and the company said they would call me Monday to discuss the issue. I did receive a call last week. I hope no one ever has to communicate with the "owner". The person who called said she was the owner. Then at one point she said "The owner takes every report on Angie's List serious. So if she was the owner, she likes to talk in the 3rd person. The call was very rude and they were clearly upset that I had left a negative review on here. Enough to call me and be rude. And then the proceeded to call the owner of the house, I guess to have him get me to remove it or whatever. However his feelings are the same as mine on the matter. Especially since the handles on the showers are so tight they cant hardly be turned. But according to the guy who came out the have to be tight in order to not leak, so I guess you need a pry bar in order to turn on a non leaking shower handle. Best advice, AVOID this company unless you need minor work and have no intention or need to ever communicate with them for issues, otherwise you will get rude phone calls if you ever leave a negative review.

Description of Work: I had a very bad leak coming out of faucet in bathroom. I had already had one company come out to fix it and they did for a short time..but the leak returned even worse then before. I called westark and they came right out and fixed. I had some parts replaced and it works better then ever..I am very happy.

+ 0 moreOur kitchen sink had a very bad clog. My husband worked on unclogging the pipe with various tools for several days. The clog was relentless. We decided to call Westark plumbing on a Saturday. The receptionist said that they were backed up but will try to squeeze us in. It was only a few hours later, and they were at our door. The young man was incredibly nice and professional. He inspected the drain and pulled out the necessary tools. He unclogged the drain for us with ease. He even helped reinstall the pipes under the sink that my husband had taken apart. It was about 60 bucks for the time and 30 for the service. We will most definitely use them again!!

Description of Work: The service tech, Joe, arrived and assessed my stopped up drain situation and began work on getting it unclogged right away. Joe was positive and upbeat even when the job went far longer than anticipated. The company charged a price that was more than fair. Additionally, this was the second time I had the company to my home that week. The first event being repairs to ruptured pipes that occurred during the big freeze. Kyle was very professional and pleasant also.
