Let David Do It

Finished in one day. Looks good

David and his painter Monty were on time and started work immediately. It took two coats of paint and Monty was very precise and neat. They removed all the furniture and there was quite a lot. Painted two days(had to dry inbetween) and came back on Sat. to put the furniture back. We are very pleased with the deck. The only complaint I have is that we had already purchased Behr paint from Home Depot and it was suppose to fill in holes and cover really good but David was not comfortable with that and we used Sherwin Williams paint. I love the color, however it is already scratched up and I wonder if we had used the Behr paint if it would have covered better? We will not know until we paint again!? We move our furniture a lot so it may not matter what paint we use?

David responded immediately to my message for ceiling repair. He came to give an estimate on the first business day following our conversation. He arrived promptly three days later and completed the job to our satisfaction. He cleaned up after himself. David was very professional and efficient. We'd use his services again.

If you use him, make sure he measures when he gives an estimate.

Called, he answered and asked about the job, set up a time to look at the job. Estimate was very fair. He completed the job 2 days later. Very professional job, no short cuts. Covered his work area and cleaned his mess (and some of mine). Overall, seems like the kind of guy that cares more about the quality of the job than the money. From now on, he's my handyman guy.

Dave was very cost conscious and looked for ways to save money without sacrificing any quality or functionality. He was also very punctual and was on time for every appointment or start time. He cut no corners and ,in fact, went out of his way to do the little extras to make sure I was receiving the best quality product at the best price. He said he would have the job completed in two days and it was complete right on schedule in two days. I thought his estimate was very fair. I don't know if it was the lowest cost estimate because you never know exactly what services someone else is including in their estimate. However, David's price was extremely competitive and I know I received a top quality job. I was extremely pleased with his work and would recommend him. I will use him again. I originally rated Dave on 6/24/14 and gave him a "D" based entirely on what I thought was a lack of follow up. After getting to know David a bit I now know that he is not the kind of individual to not follow up on anything he starts work on. The lack of communication between us was due to a power outage and he had no idea I had even tried to call him back. He actually did call me back after the power outage and we got things worked out. I can't say enough about his professionalism and would highly recommend him.

David did a wonderful job with my ceiling repair. He made everything blend very nicely! He also showed me how to conceal a spot if I wanted to remove a hook from the ceiling later on. I appreciated his professionalism, his being on time to do the work, and arriving two days earlier than originally scheduled because his schedule allowed it. He is an excellent communicator and called to follow up. The price was fabulous and the work fabulous!

They are good. They came out several times for David himself does provide. And they set us in right when we have good weather for we would not wait too long.

David worked with us on the types of columns that would be sturdy enough and last the longest as well as being economical for our limited funds.

He was days ahead of schedule and completed the tasks from our (busted water pipe) damaged home. There were baseboards ripped from the walls, a large hole in the wall to assist in drying, and water damaged ceiling that he was able to seal and paint. David is a very good Master painter. He is very talented and knows his line of work. If I needed anything painted in the future... he would get the job. Also, David is a very pleasant individual and would get along with almost anyone.

David came to my house to give me an estimate for a new patio. We discussed the cost, the time and the other specifics. He was going to wait to until the weather got warmer to start the job. But David called me on the Saturday after he gave me an estimate and told me that they could start on Monday. David's crew demolished my old patio and hauled it all away within a day. They worked long hours and built the deck in less than a week! David came by several times during the week to check on the work that his crew was doing. He was always a phone call away if I had any questions.They did an excellent job!!! I would definitely hire David again!

David was very professional and pleasant to work with. They completed the project early and kept paint from dripping on the floor or furniture. I will definitely refer David to my coworkers, friends and family! Thx David!!

David did return my call in a timely manner. Im needing a "handyman" to do odd jobs including carpentry. He let me know he is a carpenter only. I would not call him a "handyman"

When I called him back to inquire about the work, he said he did not know who I was.

David did a great job he was honest and did everything he promised and then some for a very reasonable price. he is my new go to guy when I need any kind of carpentry work done he really has the tools and the knowledge to build or repair things

He arrived on time and worked diligently to repair a rather unusual problem. He was determined to get it done correctly and continued to work on the problem until fixed.

All went very well. All looks like new and working well.

The quotes were received in a timely manner. The challenge to getting the work done was my fault. David's provided an accurate quote and I was unable to find the time to be at my home during the work. I would like to still use this service and quote within the next two months.

I chose to hire David over two other's based on the Angie's List reviews and my very pleasant phone conversation with David. He was on time for our initial visit and offered a fair estimate of the projects we needed. We agreed upon the price, then set a day and time to begin. David and Jeffery (painter) were here on time and quickly got started. My fist concern was all the paint drips and spills on the carpet and floors, but I assumed they would certainly clean it up. They worked hard for two and a half days. When they finished around noon on the third day, they asked my 19 year old daughter if she could call my husband at work so they could get paid. They waited in the garage for several hours before leaving in a huff and used profanities. I called David and told him I would pay him the following day, but that I was not pleased with some of the work. Here are the issued I shared with him: paint drips and spills on carpet, floor, hand rail and ceiling (painter didn't take light switch & elecrical outlet covers off of all....he did some, but not all)..... the repairs on the tresholds didn't look right and upon further inspection, I discovered he didn't repair it - he covered up the rotted wood and painted over it..... While doing laundry, I noticed it was very hot in the laundry room.. I discovered the drier vent was not even attached, so I pulled the drier away from wall to fix and noticed they painted around the washer and drier. All of the painting was "amaturish" at best.... the trim wasn't done, but had paint drips and nicks all over it..... David said the trim wasn't included in his quote. I broght all this to David's attention and he willingly agreed to come fix everything. He argued with me a bit about the paint drips being his at first, but finally just made it right (it was a mess.....not talking just a few small drips). I didn't notice the threshold and laundry room issues until after I paid him the full amound. Again, he agreed to come back over and fix things. He told me he felt my complaints were valid and apologized. I appreciated his willingness to make things right, but I feel the quality of work was poor. I will now have to paint all the trim myself Maybe the issue is David's painter.... most of the work David did himself was done well (except for the thresholds)..... He's a nice guy.... but just wish he would have done the quality work....and done it right the first time.

David brought in highly competent craftsmen to do each of the jobs needed with little wasted time. When I told him I needed a wheelchair ramp, he came back with all of the specs needed for the job. This allowed me to pick a location that fit the standards. This kind of help on the details is always invaluable.

I thought he was excellent. He did what he said he was going to do; he gave a fair price and cleaned up his mess so obviously I would use him again if I need something. He did quite a bit of work for me. The screen on my porch wasn’t quite a tight as I thought it probably could have been but he said he did stretch it as much as he could but that was my only complaint with the quality of the work which seems to me, like he could have probably stretched a little bit tighter. But for the most part I thought he did a great job.

All went well. David clearly knew what he was doing. Pleasant fellow. I will use him again.

His estimate was way too high. He quoted over $1000 to install the door, but that didn't include the door. He was very friendly and very upfront. He came out and told me what he would do. We had people come and work for us, and they never tell what it would cost; but he was honest and very straightforward. It was beyond our budget. We just moved from a different state. Our backdoor didn't have a doggy door, so we wanted to install it. It was way above our budget. We might call him because he was honest. We were able to get the work done for 1/3rd of the price.

Their work was very good and they did everything they were going to do for the price they said.
