Purchased the $49 Big Deal on Angie's List for the replacement of the outside faucet. Jan (Cahaba Plumbing) and his co-worker were very professional and courteous. He even text messaged when he ran into heavy traffic on Hwy 280 which caused him to be a few minutes late. While at the house, he took time to point out a couple of things that were not up to current code (my house is 30 years old) but was in no way trying to push me for additional work. That was nice. To sum up, I got a much needed front faucet replacement at an incredible price. I would not hesitate to contact Jan again for any future plumbing needs and would recommend him to anyone needing plumbing services.

It was not too good with Cahaba Plumbing. When I purchased the coupon, I was thinking I was getting something, I ended up getting something I didn't ask for. The guy did some work without telling me that he was going to do it and I ended up paying $300 that I thought was free at the time. The guy got out here so I told him what was going on with the tub so the guy went ahead and started doing what he was trying to do to stop it. At that point, he went to the outside to do something, they fixed the problem then he came and gave me the bill.

He had a chance to look at things before he started. He came and gave the estimate for the work and for the credit of $100. He gave me a price for the work that I asked for him to do. He did a very good job. He brought his crew of two or three guys to complete the work. They were good at clean up and left no mess behind. He is competent, does good work, and gets the job done quickly. He had first installed the cheap plastic toilet seats. When I complained about it, he installed the cushioned seats for us that we previously had. He said nothing about any additional charge at the time. He later decided that he wanted to be paid for the replacement of the toilet seat for an additional amount of about $125. I think it was an honest mistake and we have not heard from him. The price was good through the deal. He is a good workman and everything went fine. I am a member of the Society of Risk Management consultant business as a life member. We only work on a fee basis for the client. We have the ability in this area to actually provide services in a way that would be less expensive than if the form had a permanent risk manager.

It worked out fine. He did a good job. Was a bit pricey. More than I expected.

. Took them a while so I agreed to pay them an additional $100 which was likely still a discount off regular hourly rates. Nice guys, like to chit chat a bit. When they got there, one said they'd also repair another outside faucet for gratis. Don't think they did but that wasn't part of the "deal" so not a reflection on price or performance so much as maybe professionalism. No big deal.

He was unprofessional in his demeanor. I would not use him again.

They checked our water pressure and discovered it was way too high, and that this caused our water heater's expansion tank to blow out. They replaced the tank, and also replaced our aged disposal. While checking the water pressure, they discovered a loose wire that was touching a pipe and causing electrolysis on the pipe. They replaced the pipe, and told us to consult an electrician about the loose wire to eliminate a fire hazard. All of the work was done that day in a very efficient way.

everything went well. leaky outside faucet was replaced and is working fine now. the guys showed up on time and job was finished shortly thereafter. very satisfied.

Horrible! Took a long time (could not stay out of the bathroom). I can not get over the charge of $850.00 to replace a kitvchen faucet! WouldNOT recommend unless you just want to spend money.

They did a super job. Jan was very nice and cordial.

Went okay. The valve was replace without incident.

Jan was excellent to work with. I had an outdoor faucet that has been broken for a long time. I had another plumber look at it for repair and provide an extremely high estimate. Jan had some other big jobs being worked, but we were able to schedule a good time for both of us. He did an excellent job, and the faucet works great! Will definitely consider using him again.

It was just fine. There were additional costs that mostly came from the labor. They did have to make a return trip at no cost because than had ended up messing up the sink water line. They spent about two hours on the job for the first trip and no more than thirty minutes on the second trip. Scheduling was very easy and the return trip was easy and they were very cordial as well. They were real nice and got the job completed.

There were several problems that required followup visits. One of the upstairs toilets was left with a leak in the supply line, which I discovered the next morning after it had leaked all night onto the range in my kitchen below. They came back promptly to repair that and later paid to have the ceiling repainted. Several of the toilets were not flushing properly and needed further adjustments. My overall impression was that I was overcharged for the work performed, especially the $150 per "rebuilt" toilet, which in some cases amounted to nothing more than changing out the flapper.

Did not use the service. No issues with the provider, they were prompt in contacting me. The service provided did not cover any leaks outside of the actual faucet and that's not what I was requiring.

It went very well. They’re very capable. They charged me more than the deal because I had other work done. I recall they did the job in 4 hours. I was pleased with the overall cost including the $49 deal.

They called to schedule the repair, and arrived on time. They determined the problem in the fireplace gas line and corrected it. Took about an hour overall.

Jan helped me out in a real pinch. I had a clogged line on my Sewer. Jan got there within an hour and had everything taken care of before I knew it. His rates were also the most reasonable I have ever encountered.

1st I must admit, I am VERY disappointed with Jan. I called him 07/25 and he stated that he would come out that day! WOW! But, he never called or showed. So I called again Friday 07/26 he stated that he had the wrong number and than he said that he would be out today...Well...at 4:10 I called him again to see if they were coming out. He told me that they had one in the hospital and another out sick. I told him that he could come out Monday and he agreed... Well, he calls Saturday at 12:31 PM and asked for my address and that they would come out today. I told him that there was no rush and he stated that they wanted to get us taken care of. Scott and Jan showed up, Jan checked the pressure and Scott cut off some of the drain tube so that it would not be so long. Jan stated that we needed the flow restrictor replaced and it would be 350.00. When I asked what the charge was for them coming, Jan stated it would be a service call and the total would be 105.00! What??!! For a service call?? We paid, but I am very disappointed. After they left, the drain pipe leaked all over our kitchen floor. My husband called and Scott came out and fixed it. He stated that if it leaked after that, they would have to replace the drain pipe. Well, it did leak again all over the kitchen floor. I have never been so disappointed....What a shame, I thought that they were a good company...

I know what you are thinking....300.00 to replace a dishwasher, but, our situtation was unique. Our house was built in 1963 and the dishwasher must have been installed when the house was built! The cabinet was built around it and it had a rigid copper line connecting it to the water source and it drained outside...I know, right!! I called Jan on 07/15 and he stated that they would be out 07/16 which they were! They arrived around 3:30 and were there until 5:30 switching the water line over and putting in a new drain tube so that it would drain through the pipes under the sink ( I think that is what they stated, anyway no more draining outside!) Plus making sure that everything was to code. They ended up coming back 07/17 to make some final set ups and were so nice and so professional! I would recommend them to anyone!

After contacting Cahaba Plumbing, I was told someone could come by the next day. Upon arrival, I learned that rather than plumbers, two salespeople were sent to my home to sell me a whole-house inspection so they could offer more services. But even that process took nearly 30 minutes, while the lead salesperson spent more than half of that time on the phone. After ending the call and complaining to me about the woes of another job, I was told that the price I was quoted over the phone "was wrong and shouldn't have been given out", however was honored in a written agreement. When the technician finally contacted me to do the actual work, it was 6 hours later (5pm) and I had to request an appointment the next day. After multiple attempts to repair a simple clog with a small motorized sink snake, the technician decided he needed bigger guns, and brought a much larger machine into my kitchen. 30 seconds into the first attempt, the pipes in my wall were destroyed, leaving a small flood in my garage downstairs. After waiting for another 30-40 minutes for someone to call the technician back, he packed up and left, stating that I would receive a call from the boss. It's now been 4 days and no call. Since unclogging the drain was no longer an option, I arranged to have the drain bypassed and replaced by Guin Service LLC, who completed everything in less than 2 hours and charged me a very reasonable price to do so. It should be noted out of fairness that the Cahaba Plumbing technician did not ask for any money, but rather just left.

Jan was very responsive and gave options to fix. He competively quoted the job on the spot and performed and excellent job.

Just okay. I don't like the way anything looks, although nothing leaks.

We have trusted Cahaba for a long time now to do our plumbing. I own rental property and I depend on them to do the job right the first time. They are very professional, punctual and clean up very well after themselves when they are done.
