They were great. So far, we've only used them once. They were good people. They did a good job and came on time. They did not disturb us in whatever we had to do that day.

This company is amazing! They are meticulous and very picky about making sure all the carpet stains came out. He pulled out all the stops to make sure we were happy. I would recommend them to anyone. Very very good quality services!

An absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish! This is a complete cleaning process far greater than anything I have ever seen before. He uses a three step cleaning process which really gets all of the dirt and stains from the carpet. My carpets were stained and had bad traffic patterns. They are now are absolutely 100% better, fresher and look wonderful!

Steve arrived with assistant Andy promptly at the scheduled time. Both were well groomed and appropriately attired for the work and could not have been more courteous or professional. I felt very much at ease and confident that they would do excellent work. Steve oriented Andy, and they took equipment from the truck in an efficient manner and got to work in separate areas in an organized way. These men cleaned not only floors, walls and what you would expect, but pipes, vents, ridding the basement of ropy cobwebs, filth, and more. The extra room is a library with many bookshelves just full of dusty books. At one point, I went by and saw Andy dusting them with a vac attachment. After they left, I noticed a drawer in one of my shelves that had been broken had been repaired by either Andy or Steve. They, of course cleaned inside drawers and cabinets, and even put a new toilet seat cover on the toilet. They helped me move some of the boxes to make more room in the basement and hauled some trash down to curbside. They brought their own lunches, but took mere minutes to eat. Mid afternoon I picked up some barbecue for them, although they didn't ask, because they were such hard workers. They simply worked without pause. Steve had told me about the heavy duty steam cleaner they would use, and he was right. It was extremely powerful and was able to clean grime effectively. It still gave Steve and Andy a workout. They went more than a couple of hours over the estimated time for the job, but when I tried to pay more, Steve refused, saying they always stuck with the estimate. I confidently recommend this company and Steve Hamilton and Andy in particular. I look forward to using them again this year.

I recently bought a house that had stained 30 year old carpet throughout and filthy tile floors in the bathroom. I contacted Act One Cleaning through Angie's list for an estimate. Stephen contacted me the same day and we were able to set up a meeting for an estimate the next day. The estimate, and relief that I didn't have to spend hours cleaning my bathroom floors, were right in my range. We set up a date and time for the next week. Unfortunately, my new house took over and repairs had to be made. Stephen rescheduled for me not once, but three times. Communication during the rescheduling was excellent. On the day of cleaning, Stephen and Andrew spent close to 12 hours on my home. Stephen explained his process when I stopped by (we had not moved in yet), and he even took the time to clean the floors in my laundry room without charging extra. Both my carpets and bathrooms look completely different. The professionalism and quality of the work done by Act One went above and beyond my expectations. I will definitely be calling them again.

A job done with the highest quality and professionalism a homeowner could expect or hope for. I am 50+ years old and very particular with high, but reasonable standards. I have utilized carpet and cleaning services for most of the houses we've owned. I have never experienced the high quality and professionalism such as that of ACT One Cleaning - they are unmatched. The serviceman was very thorough in explaining the process he would use. He even moved furniture I had not expected he would move, as previous companies had not done so. Although the price might be higher than some companies' who advertise with mailings and coupons, the service is well worth the cost and there are no hidden costs or additional fees added for a complete cleaning.

Arrived on time as promised. Did a very thorough cleaning of everything quoted. Our living room furniture is returned to almost brand new condition.

Stephen and his assistant, Andrew, were very pleasant and courteous and did an excellent job. They do a thorough job of cleaning - first vacuuming, then spraying cleaner and scrubbing the rugs, and then rinsing the rugs. Stephen is very informative as to what products he is using and how the job will be accomplished. He makes sure to view the entire area(s) to be cleaned and tell you if anything will be an extra charge (such as pet urine areas). I highly recommend Act One Cleaning for your rug cleaning needs.

Stephen and team are great! We are working on cleaning out a house inherited due to a death in the family and in the process discovered the house has not only extreme dust build up, but mold issues as well. We had Stephen deep clean one room (so far) so we could have one ?safe zone?. A great job! You can tell a huge difference just between the smell of the other rooms and how ?fresh? and non-musty the cleaned room smells. We now have a room we can spend time in without getting sick! We will absolutely use Act One again to clean the rest of the house! Stephen is very responsive, helpful, works with your schedule, and does a great job at a very reasonable price. He obviously cares about his clients and that they are happy with the job done. I felt so comfortable that I was able to leave him with the house so I could go take care of other things. Stephen is very trustworthy and has a very high work ethic! Definitely an A+++++ job!

Steve is a complete Joy to deal with. He is relaxed, funny, kind, considerate, punctual, professional and the service he provides is EXCELLENT! The kitchen and laundry room floors look like new! Earlier in 2013 i had a seriously ill cat who had become incontinent prior to his death. I wanted all the carpets in the house cleaned to remove any odors. He did it. There is no cat odor left in the house. He used cleaners that are not harmful to humans or pets and none of them had the unpleasant chemical smell. He was even able to get black residue from a candle wick that had fallen onto the carpet and embedded into the fibers. He came to the house and spent about two hours with me going over all of his processes and how he approaches his services. He gave me a detailed estimate of costs and made sure i understood what he would do. On the day of our appointment for cleaning he arrived right on time. He spends a great deal of time vacuuming all areas wiht a very proficient vacuum cleaner prior to applying anything to the areas. He made sure that none of my pets got out as he was going back and fortht to his vehicle for equipment. He's a hard, hard worker and he does a GREAT job! I am very pleased with everything he did at my house and would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone who needs cleaning services done. he offers all kinds of services - not just carpet and grout cleaning. He's just a gem....I know he is the ONLY company I will have back at my house to do this kind of work.

I am not real big on recommend people at times. Too many times people perform services in their field of "EXPERTISE". A week and a half ago God helped me find Mr.Stephen Hamilton. He is the owner of Act One Cleaning. I cannot give Mr. Hamilton enough Kudos for the job he did at my house. He is by far the most professional, knowlegable fair and thorough person that has ever done a job for us. Hands down!!!! He shared a ton of info with me about different types of carpets, stains etc. I have gladly recommended him to all my friends and family. I can't say enough GREAT things about Act One Cleaning (Stephen Hamilton ) and I am looking forward to having him back again in the near future!

We purchased our first home in November, and the carpets were in bad shape. There were a lot of large and dark stains in every room. We decided it would be best to have someone come and clean the carpets for us. Act One Cleaning came and gave us an estimate, and also went over the process that they would be using. We were pleased with the estimate and the previous reviews on Angie's List, and so we decided to go with this company. They were able to schedule our cleaning within a few days, which was good because we needed to move by the end of the month. It took two full days for them to clean around 2500 sq ft of carpet, which we were very pleased with. They always showed up on time, and were very thorough. We are very satisfied with the final outcome. The carpet looks so much better than it did before. We now feel that we can get several more years out of these carpets. Also, we were very relieved to find a company that didn't try to pressure us into purchasing more than we needed. We thought they did exceptional work for a great value!

Steven did an outstanding job. His enthusiasm and dedication to the task was beyond the normal. He did everything we asked of him and stepped us through how he was doing it. He was able to take a badly pet urine stained carpet and restore it to a brand new looking carpet. I would recommend him to anyone who wants a professional job but has the pateints to let him work his magic. A 5 star service.

Super professional & on time

Steven is very thorough, conscientious and hard working. He explains everything he is going to do before he starts. He comes when he says and stays until the job is done. Steven came two separate times, three weeks apart. I did not have to call him to confirm his appointment, he called me, which I very much appreciated. I had some difficult spots and he worked until he successfully got them out. I was pleasantly surprised in that some of the spots had been there for years and other carpet cleaners had not been able to get them out. Just before he came the second time the drain on our air conditioning unit got stopped up and overflowed, staining the carpet. Steven got all the stain out of that area. His prices are very reasonable, especially if you consider all the effort he puts into his job. I would highly recommend Act One Cleaning and plan on using him for all my future cleaning needs.

Due to the depth of the cleaning process, it took about six hours to clean the carpet. Now "clean the carpet" was the vacuuming, shampooing, deep cleaning of carpet and the removal of horrible stains!! This eleven year old original equipment carpet looked "almost new" and smelled so much better!! Thanks Act One for your professionalism and wonderful work ethics. We WILL use you again and recommend you to anyone!!

Stephen did an amazing job. I have never seen anyone work so hard and put in more effort to clean everything until it was perfect. He just kept going until it was done. My bathroom floors have NEVER looked this good. The results were above and beyond my expectations.

It didn't go so well. I had specifically requested that the plantation style blinds be cleaned really well, no dust, no grime - they weren't. I had expected the blinds would feel slick and clean from one end of the slat to the other. None of the top slats were cleaned, and only some of the middle and lower ones were clean from end to end. I had also requested that the metal sills that can be seen when the windows are open be cleaned. None of them were. I had booked a specific time with the owner but she and her helper were over an hour late, and then rushed through the agreed upon work. The owner called to tell me they would be late, but she didn't call until they were already late. I had taken the day off to be here when they were, so I was not pleased that a chunk of my day off was used by them being arriving so late. 2-1-14 I have not been back to my account for some time, due to marriage and a move. But I've been contacted by the owner of this company Act One Cleaning, an earnest letter detailing how I've mistaken his company for the one that provided such poor service for me in the spring of 2013. I've searched my bank account and Angie's List for the correct company but have not found the correct person or business. But I do want to offer a sincere apology to Mr. Stephen Hamilton of Act One Cleaning. I am beside myself that I've made such a profound error that may have had a negative impact on his business. I believe in supporting small businesses every chance I get, and now I've inadvertently marred his. I sold the house where the poor service was given, and the new owners have asked for a referral for the kind of service that Act One Cleaning provides once they move in. I am providing them with this name and number in hopes that it will make up for my mistake.

ACT One thoroughly and completely cleaned the master bathroom, master bedroom, kitchen and guest bathroom. This service included vacuuming walls, cleaning the tile floor (including the grout), showers, bath tubs, sinks and toilets. They were professional, courteous and on-time. The end result was that these rooms were cleaner than when I first moved into the house. I would recommend this company to anyone who wants a thorough cleaning in their house. The price was also very reasonable in my opinion. Plan on using this company again.

Great job. Very professional and accommodating of our clinic hours. Came in at night and cleaned all night numerous nights as not to interrupt our patient flow at the cancer center.
