They came and did the work on a short notice. They came on a weekend. I would use them in the future.

He complained about performing the service and claimed he could not find a leak.

I needed a drain snaked. Sounds simple and I always felt Roto-Rooter had a good reputation. I called two plumbing companies. One wanted $90 per hour and I have used them before and almost did again but I went to the Roto-Rooter website for Tuscaloosa, AL and it said nights, weekends, and holidays no extra charge. My wife who occupies the house worked days that week so we scheduled a technician to come out on Thursday the 27th of January between 6 and 8 pm. I was a little suspicious when I called and asked for their hourly rate and a lady told me that they don't have a fixed hourly rate but instead provide a free no obligation estimate once they were on-site. I agreed to this. She told me they would provide a courtesy call 30 minutes before to let us know they were coming. My wife received the courtesy call but was informed that they didn't have anyone available to come out as scheduled. She then asked to reschedule to Saturday but was then told that they didn't have anyone who could come to Moundville, (about 20 miles south of Tuscaloosa) on nights OR weekends. Hmmm. We rescheduled for between 8 and 10 am on Monday January 31 since she had rotated to the day shift. We then received a call around 8:30 that the service man needed to get tires put on his truck and wouldn't be on time. After arriving 45 minutes late, we decided to not take advantage of Roto-Rooter's services when they said company policy prevented them from snaking through the vent pipes on the roof and it would cost $250 pull up the toilet and enter that way or $500+ to put in an access. We found another plumber.

We kept having the same recurring problem, I don't think they ever fixed it. They charged us $200 each time. They cleaned out the line with an air pump. They were inexperienced plumbers, they sent a different plumber each time and they didn't really diagnose the root of the problem - it would just be an expensive, temporary fix. They were nice and professional, but if you want to get to the heart of the problem I think you need someone who will look for a long term solution as well as develop a good relationship with the client. I just think Roto Rooter was just inexperienced. They've come three times a year over the last three years. I would not recommend them or use them again.

They did come the same day to "snake" it out. The guy initially wanted to cut into the pipe from the garage but couldn't becuase he did not have a helper to help control the snake. He wasn't sure he could go through the kitchen sink, but did and fortunately it worked. Price seemed high $250 for about 15 minutes work. He did not leave a mess. He did spend a lot of time trying to convince me to leave him positive feedback on some survey which struck me the wrong way. Although he was able to clear the drain, they should have sent 2 guys if that was what was needed. I downgraded them on professionalism and price.

Thieves stole the copper pipes from under our house. We had these people give us an estimate. We never heard back from them.

Very courteous and professional. Very thorough inspection and told me what I needed to do. Serviceman ran late, but actually called to let me know and told me he would call me on my cell phone if I needed to run errands - I was impressed!

They came and used the roto thing to clean the sewer. They also used a ballon which was pretty useless but they charged us for it anyway. During this time the clean out cap in the driveway broke and sewage spilled out everywhere. My husband had to rent a power cleaner to clean it up, they did not clean up at all. Later that day a guy came out with a camera to look at the line. He tried to convince us the line had collapsed somewhere and that we would have to pay $5000 to replace 5ft of pipe. I was skeptical but the line backed up again two weeks later. I called another plumber for a second opinion. He said the line looked fine and that it just wasn't cleaned out all the way. He cleaned it again with the roto thing and a water flush and it has been fine for the past 9 months. So I had to pay twice to have the thing cleaned out since they did not do it right the first time.

They have always been way over priced but not only was the price ridiculous, the technician admitted to me what they are allowed to do may not work as well as in the past.

They did a good job. There was a water damage company that came out to clean up the water and they clean up after there is a smoke, fire or water damage. The problem was caused due to a leak from my bathtub into a closet on the floor below. So, I had to first get the plumber to stop the leak. He first stopped the water and then he got rid of the water. He then fixed the pipe that had burst. They have been here many times before too.

It was a bad experience and I have since found out that i was grossly overcharged. They did repair the pipe, however, I had numerous complaints that were never addressed despite many phone calls. The estimate had included this problem plus another smaller problem. We chose to do only the bigger problem of the sewer line when we saw the price. despite this, we believe we were charged for supplies for the smaller job because the end price did not add up or match, and we could not get any explanation of what the charges were for. We did not receive an itemized bill, despite several requests. The person who did the work said that someone in the office would type it up and send it to me that day. I never received it and finally gave up. They destroyed a new flower box that had just been installed even though it was unnecessary for the job. They did not return phone calls after the work was completed. I would NEVER use Roto-Rooter again.

Showed up quickly and did work. Plumber told my wife it was a complicated and dagerous job (simple solder work that took 8 minutes) and submitted a $500+ bill. I stopped payment on check and he got ugly. Told him I would swear out a warrant for home repair fraud and have not heard from him since. Appeared to be to be obvious attempt to scam the "little woman" for simple work.

They did more than they had to! They did a good job. I would hire them again.

I guess they did do an o.k. job. They were a little expensive, but, they were very nice. Overall, we were very pleased with everything. This had happened over Christmas and they really tried to get us some help and get it taken care of right away. I would have to say beside she price being a little high, they did great.

We were very upset by the professionalism and representation of what we thought was a major plumbing company who stood on both courtesy and reliability. As stated, we called Roto Rooter to come to our home and give us a so called free estimate on some work we had as per their coupon. When the representative arrived, he informed us that there would be charge to do so. We then told him to forget about it he did go ahead and look at our toilet bowl which isnt flushing correctly. He took a look at it for about 2 minutes and told us that it needed to have a tube replaced which connects the handle to the piece that flushes. The Man told us he would completely fix our toilet for one hundred and seventy five dollars and we told him that we wouldnt be using his services. In fact it only cost us $5 to do the repair ourselves.

They were very nice and courteous. They did a great job, and I haven't had any more problems with the toilets since they cleaned the line. They cleaned up well and were right on time. I would highly recommend them.

We called them and they sent someone out in less than an hour. Our drains were completely bogged up because something was clogging the main pipe to exit the house. We also had a leak in the bathroom sink that we had been postponing and we had him fix that also. He did a great job on them.

Roto-Rooter did a very good job of clearing the drain in our bathtub. We got a written estimate before he even began any work. He cleared the drain in less than an hour and I think the bathroom was cleaner when he left than when he arrived.
