Description of Work: Needed nasty old green carpet pulled up and replaced with hardwood flooring. We ended up going with vinyl planking for durability. Looks great, and the guys who installed it did a fantastic job and were extremely professional.

Description of Work: Matched and Installed hardwoods in 3 bedrooms and closet. Installed ceramic tile in two baths and dressing rooms. This company was professional, fast, and tidy. Their prices were definitely fair market for the products and installation labor cost. I would definitely use them in the future.

Description of Work: I have used Riverchase Flooring several times since we moved to Hoover and they have provided good service and value for the jobs done. Most recently, I used them for a tile job in our second home out of state. The decorator I was fortunate enough to have did a superb job in matching my existing fixtures and pulling everything together - using just pictures taken by me. She also took care of ordering and delivering my tile. I highly recommend Riverchase Flooring.

Description of Work: Everything went great. The hardest part of the entire process was deciding on the actual flooring design/pattern itself. My wife and I stopped in the store on a Saturday and Jeffery let us take several samples home to see how they looked. He set up an appointment for the following Monday to come by and measure the area to be re-floored. His appointment was at 10 am and he arrived promptly at 10. He made his measurements and returned to the store to work us up an estimate. We had agreed when he was here that he would email me the estimate which I received within a couple of hours of his coming by. The price was acceptable and I approved the purchase and tentatively set up the installation date. Later that day I dropped by the store to give them the deposit to do the work and to firm up installation. In order to save a little money I was removing the old laminate flooring and prepping the sub-floor so I needed some time to complete my part. We set up a date & time the flooring would be delivered and also a day/time for the installation (the flooring needed to be delivered in advance of installation in order to allow it to acclimate to the temperature and humidity of the house). Delivery was was made on a Friday and the installation crew showed up as scheduled the following Monday. Everything went very smooth and the crew had the flooring down in no-time. The installation crew was very courteous and hard working. Couldn't have asked for a nicer pair, I'm glad I followed other recommendations here on Angie's List and went with Riverchase Carpet and Flooring and will not hesitate to work with them again.

 + 0 moreMr. Street was very helpful when it came to choosing the carpets. He was mindful of our budget and was eager to find the best carpets for our needs. We were allowed to take samples home to get a better feel for how it would look in each room. He was always available to meet or discuss our project. The carpet arrived in a matter of days. John even came out on install day to make sure everything was installed correctly. We originally thought the big box store would be much cheaper than Riverchase, but that was not the case at all and the customer service at Riverchase was excellent. We will definitely use them again!
Description of Work: John Street helped us in the store to choose 3 different carpets for our new house. He came out to the house and measured at no charge then discussed our options. The carpet was ordered and arrived in a matter of days. We set an install date and the technicians installed it in 1 day.

 + -1 moreThe salesman arrived at my Mother's home. He was professional, friendly and gracious to my 89 year old Mother. He listened to her wants and concerns about the moving of her furniture. He then brought the installation manager to her home to explain to her exactly what would be done and how much time it would take to complete the job. The installation crew was on-time and got the job done within the time allowed. While they were working, the salesman arrived to check on the progress. All was done with upmost care.

They don’t pressure you. They work with your financial range and let you know immediately if there is something way beyond your range. They show up on time and they let you know what they are doing.  + -1 moreGary came to my house and gave me an estimate. Once we decided on the color and type of tile, work started in a couple of days. Mark (installer) and crew did a great job. I couldn't be more pleased. I will use Riverchase again to replace carpet in two bedrooms. No problems at all.

I felt that shouldn t have been happening so soon, so that was why I gave them a lower grade. Other than that, it wasn t too bad. They cleaned up their mess when they finished their work. I felt the price was average for this job.

 + -1 moreI was not happy with the people at Riverchase in any way. It was as if they hired men from off the street. That is how incompetent they were. At first they installed the wrong color. They ended up leaving a seam in the middle of the floor. It was totally ridiculous in every way, and I would not consider ever hiring them again. I also thought the pricing was ridiculous too. I do not remember exactly what it was, but it was not what I expected.

He left no room for improvement and everything turned out just as well as we thought it would. I can definitely see myself hiring them again if I needed that type of service.

 + -1 moreAlthough the service may not have went as well as it could have, we were impressed by how they responded and got us taken care of. There wasn't enough carpet ordered initially because the measurements were off, so they had to order additional. They got it all done as quickly as they could, and in the end, the carpets all look terrific. They were very considerate and apologetic for the hassle, which meant a lot to us.
