Description of Work: Company does offer a low price to come out but in the end, it cost the same as other companies to service your A/C. I will say that this is a rental house and I was not there when the technician arrived but he did add freon and getting the system up and running. I agreed for them to do what they needed to get the system running until the price exceeded $250. Freon was added and the cost was under the agreed amount, so I was not called. The next day, I called to verify the price and to find out what had been done to fix the problem. I was told that freon was added and that I had a substantial leak in the system. I asked where the leak was at and I was told from the inside air handler. I questioned this because that portion of the unit was about 5 years old whereas the heat pump was 10 years. The lady then then went on to say that the technician would call me to give me details. I have yet to hear from the technician and I'm wondering if I ever will. Overall, yes this company will fix your A/C but there is nothing that makes this company stand out. The next time I need service, I will use another company.

The technician performed all services, checking coolant pressure, insuring all condenser grids were clean, thoroughly cleaning the cooling vanes around the outdoor compressor. | |The job was done as if I were paying full price for the services. I would highly recommend Hansen to everyone.

Description of Work: If I could give this company an A+++++ I would. After being given an extremely high estimate to replace the blower motor in our 16 year old Trane heat pump by the company who installed the unit and has serviced it since day one, I had a friend's ac guy look at it. He told us it was a variable speed unit which is very expensive and that he was unable to replace it for us. |I decided to try someone from Angie's list and found Hansen's. I called them at 9am and by 11:30 Chad had cold air blowing from our vents! He told me he could take out the variable speed motor, which was not saving us much at all on our power bills, and replace it with a universal unit on the spot. I was thrilled with the service, the price, and the courteous professional manner Chad brought to the job. I will be using Hansen exclusively for our service in the future. We saved nearly half of the first estimate!

Description of Work: Serviced two central ACs @ separate houses we own. Recharged both systems with freon after cleaning/servicing them. Repaired a leaky line in one of the ACs. Their technicians were punctual, actually a little early. They called to make sure it was OK to come early. Very happy with the work.

Description of Work: The man they sent was very friendly and professional. He looked at the unit, which is 20 years old, and told us what was wrong. My husband, being an engineer and certified to do some of the HVAC elements, was then able to get everything and fix it himself. The unit probably won't last much longer, and we will use this company for replacement. They did give us an estimate for a new system.

Description of Work: Cleaned out drainage well of air conditioner that was clogged by water condensation, rain, and debri. Used high pressure tank filled with nitrogen that completed the job in minutes, after we had tried to clear the drain several times and it continued to clog up. We were concerned that we had more serious AC problems, although we had been out of town and there had been several days of heavy rainfalls causing the drain to be seriously clogged. While we had to wait several hours after we made our call, we were told initially that it might take a while and were also given a follow-up call to inform us that the technician lived in Daphne (same town where we live, about 30-45 minutes from tHansen's office in Mobile) and he had to finish current service call,and would get by our house as soon as he could get to Daphne. Once he was here, he was very professional in getting right to work and correcting the PROBLEM. My husband also liked the fact that the technician was willing to work with him on what he believed would be the solution to our AC problem. We also believe that the charge only for 1 hr. labor was reasonable as well. We will call Hansen Heating and Cooling if and when we need HVAC repairs again.
