Keep your septic tank in good working condition with our help. Turn to SepticWorks for your septic tank pumping and maintenance needs. We specialize in a wide variety of septic system and drain services from repairs, to cleanings and pumpings, to video inspections of drains. Give us a call today!
"I call the company to get the septic tank cleaned out. Septic works stated they couldn?t locate the tank but could find it for $225. I paid the $225 and 3 minutes later they found the tank. A $400 septic job changed to a $675 job because they would have had to dig a hole to clean the tank. So I told them that?s ok because I see where this was going. I just located another company and they found the tank and cleaning it for the price stated without telling me a an extra fee for locating a job that they are about to get paid for. Thanks Angi list but no thanks! I?ll never use this again.."

Sterling Home Inspection's mission is to provide the highest-quality inspections in Alabama, creating for our clients the peace of mind that should come with every home purchase. We succeed at this because of the integrity of our inspectors and staff, our knowledge of the construction and real estate industries, our unwavering commitment to you, and continuing education we subject ourselves to regularly in order to truly become industry experts. We have a passion for our jobs and we love what we do. We want to help our clients make the most informed decision every step of the way.
"We had SMI scope the sewer of the townhouse my daughter was going to buy. Got the video and was told no major issues. Less than three weeks after she moved in the downstairs toilet flooded multiple times. Roto-Rooter came out and actually scoped the entire sewer line and there was a rootball from the tree we were concerned about. $4,500 later it is fixed and also got a $1,500 quote to fix the floor (if we can find the same flooring). Email twice and called once but nobody from SHI would reach back out to us. They are NOT BBB credited, they do not complete the job, and they do not fix their mess."

Yes, most states require septic tank installers to have a license, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed septic tank pro could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
The cost to replace a septic tank is $7,350 for the average homeowner. This cost can range, however, from $470 to $22,500, depending on several factors. Your house size is a significant factor in the overall cost, but other things like material type impact the final price tag. For example, installing a new septic tank in a one-bedroom house typically costs $500 to $900, whereas installing a new septic tank in a five or six-bedroom home is generally $1,200 to $1,600.
The cost of septic tank repair is $1,775 for the average homeowner. However, depending on a few elements, you might pay as little as $170 or as much as $6,100. Location, repair type, and tank material all determine the final cost. For example, replacing the septic tank filter can be as little as $200 to $300. However, repairing septic lines costs more, averaging around $1,500.
A septic tank can typically last 15 to 20 years on average, though your system's lifespan will vary depending on the type of septic system and the materials used. To help increase your septic tank's lifespan, schedule routine maintenance and do not flush items like cat litter, cigarette butts, or paper towels.
Repairing or replacing a septic tank is a job best left to a professional. Your septic tank is an essential part of your home, and if installed or repaired incorrectly, it could lead to significant problems. Things like polluted water, property damage, and health risks to your family could all happen as a result of an improper septic tank repair or installation.
