He came on time, and had to go back for longer hoses, in order to avoid parking on the lawn. He reminded me not to forget the Angies's List coupon. He deducted the cost of cleaning the heat pump, explaining that if he did, mold from the pump would enter the system. He disabled the electronic air cleaner while cleaning in order not to damage it. He used a vacuum cleaner to clean the floors around the intakes. He explained to me how the mold from the ductwork had been getting into the house.

Excellent job - would recommend their services to anyone requiring this type of maintenance. Will Brown and Byron showed up when they said they would, and did a great job cleaning out our dryer vent which included a run of approximately 30 feet from the interior dryer connection to the exterior wall. They re-strapped the run located in a crawl space and reconnected the pipe to the flexible vent duct. When the work was completed, they cleaned up the laundry room to include wiping down the washer and dryer.

I knew there were some major problems with the HVAC ductwork in the attic of my 1960's home. Another vendor suggested I replace the entire HVAC system. I called Air Essentials, who examined the ductwork and told me that some of the runs were not sized correctly, other sections were disintegrating and that the entire ductwork network needed to be replaced, but that the unit itself still seems to have quite a bit of life remaining. We agreed on a price and they showed up promptly when they said they would, worked all day (only taking a few minutes to eat a brown bag lunch), hauled off all the old junk out of the attic, caulked and reattached all the registers. They promised they wouldn't leave until they finished, and they were true to their word. It was a miserably hot day, and the work ethic of the two technicians who did the work was outstanding. The results have proven to be dramatic. My utility bills have run 20-30% less since the work has been done, and my home is far more comfortable than it has been in years. I am very pleased with their work!

The guys called to let me know when they would arrive and arrived on time. They were very professional and informative as to the processes they use to clean the system and informed me of a few minor issues they encountered. They were very courteous to my 4 dogs and were careful not to let them out. Once completed they were careful to clean up everything.

The first scheduled cleaning was between 3:00 and 6:00. I took a half day off from work to be home. At 5:00 they called and said their truck broke down. The second cleaning was also scheduled between 3:00 and 6:00 and I took off work to be home. Around 5:00 they called and said the job they were on was having troubles and they work not make it, but they would give me $10 off the next service. So today 8/30/13 was the third scheduled cleaning. I called Air Essentials at noon today to verify everything was good for this afternoon before I took off work for the THIRD TIME and the Air Essentials owner (I think his name is Knox) ensured me they would be here today between 3:00 and 6:00. At 4:30 they called me and said it was raining in Hampton Cover and they could not come today. The owner asked me if I could take off work in the morning next time and they would do me first! Can you believe that??!! Anyway, he said he felt bad and offered to clean it for free, I wanted to take him up on the offer, but he has NO CREDIBILITY!!!! He won't show up when his to be paid, guess he would never show up for a free job. Unless you have unlimited time on your hands get some else to do the work, you will be glad you did not waste you time

Technicial was in the area when I called in that my AC had gone out. He was at my house within 10 minutes of returning my call. Determined that a fuse was blown and was able to replace it and have my AC back on immediately. Only charged me for the service call. This is the second time I have used Air Essentials and both times they have been prompt, professional, and didn't try to charge me for unecessary parts. Very dependable and honest. I highly recommend Air Essentials.

They came to clean my dryer vent and found it wasn't hooked up in the attic. I have a roof dryer vent - which has never worked. They went above and beyond to hook it up and clean it out. They were very professional and would highly recommend.

Excellent work ethics for the employees. Came in found the source of the problem, contacted another company to fix the issue then they replaced all of the AC duct work. They are a fantastic company and would not hesitate to recommend them.

I noticed my downstairs A/C unit was out on a Thursday night so Friday morning I started calling contractors recommended on Angie's list. The first could not come out until the following Monday so I called Air Essentials. They said they could be out by noon. I was going to be at work so I asked them to call before coming. At 11 a.m. Jason called and said he could be there in 25 minutes, which gave me time to leave work and meet him at my house. He arrived on time, was very professional, quickly assessed the situation and determined that there was a problem with a circuit breaker which he corrected. Although this seems like a minor thing, he could have told me it was something major and charged me a bunch of money but he didn't. It was a simple fix and he only charged me the standard service call fee. When I mentioned I found them on Angie's List, he gave me a $10 discount on the service fee so my total bill was just $85. He stayed long enough to make sure that the cold air was working and even replaced an air filter for me. I would trust Air Essentials for A/C service to accurately assess the problem and not overcharge.

Air Essentials was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. My wife and family were having severe allergy problems, and we had spoken with several people whose allergy symptoms were much improved with duct cleaning. Air Essentials explained their services and their costs clearly and accurately up front. They were always easy to reach by phone, and scheduled the appointment quickly for us. When they arrived, they were very thorough to document the condition of our ductwork before and after their cleaning. The most surprising thing was how much mold was growing on our evaporator coil. They also found and fixed (at no extra charge) a leak in our duct work that was allowing air exchange between our crawl space under our house and our air ducts. They spent nearly 4 hours cleaning our ductwork, and were willing to spend time educating us about their services before we even committed to purchase them. The equipment involved is unique and fairly complex, which also seems to justify the cost of the services (several hundred dollars for a 2,000 square foot house). Most important, we were thrilled with the visible improvement to our family's allergy symptoms after the cleaning. I would highly recommend this company to others with central heating and cooling, who are struggling with allergy problems.

Came on time, was able to do almost all the work from outside to minimize traffic in the house. Did what they said, arrived on time, did a good job, did not make a mess. When I tested the duct for air flow it was good.

I selected Air Essentials based solely upon Angie?s List recommendations. I called because I initially believed there might be an animal such as a squirrel or rodent living in one of the air ducts within my crawl space beneath the home. From start to finish Air Essentials conducted a flawless and professional operation. After scheduling a consult appointment, Air Essentials came out to evaluate my systems and look for evidence of animals. They took pictures of my ductwork throughout the crawl space. They charged $95 dollars for the initial evaluation and analysis. Based upon the initial visit I elected to have the HVAC systems serviced and cleaned and the $95 was credited to my final bill. I received an additional 10% off with an Angie?s List coupon. Truly, a first rate team, professional, timely, courteous, and followed through on every action. I will use them again.

I called that morning and was given an approximate time and told they would call when they were on the way which they did. They did a great job pointed out a problem with my dryer vent and explained it. While they were here I asked them how much it would be to clean t he chimney and if they could do it today. They did a great job on both. They cleaned up after both.

Excellent. I emailed them on Sunday and they called first thing Monday morning. They had the vent cleaned on Monday and came back Tuesday to install a "bird proof' vent. Great team!

It went as the technician explained. The service was prompt, and my A/C unit was working properly after.

While the company is busy and may require a few days to a week for an appointment, my overall experience was excellent. The two gentlemen were pleasant and described the work they were doing. They completed the work as they promised and cleaned the area. I was pleased with the service and will use this company again.

I called this company about investigating a noxious odor that permiated the master bathroom. a truck was dispached with two individuals to our house. I think it was in July. Don't know the exact date. Cannot find my receipt at this time. The individuals were men and they had checked under the house in the vicinity under the shower. The underside of the house is covered with insulation and a heavy plastic sheeting covering that. No odor was detected under the house. The men came into the house and checked the ventilation for possible dead vermin. Nothing of significance found. Then they came into the bathroom. There is an opening in the base of the wall between the comode and the shower enclosure. One of the men got down on the floor and was checking for the odor. He claimed it was coming from the P Trap which was directly under the shower stall and was under the floor surface. The trap is approx 3 feet from the hole in the wall. There was no moisture involved and no sign of anything that could cause an odor. However, this individual declared the trap area is where the odor was coming from. He said, " You can get down there and check it yourself" I said, " That is ok I trust you" It was settled as far as they were concerned and I payed their bill, which was apprx $158.00. They left and I was still wondering about the odor cause. Actually I called a plumber the next day and he came out and I informed him what had been done so far. He said ok and went under the house. He cut a section of the insulation and plastic away from the P Trap directly under the shower stall. He said there was no sign of any water or moisture of any kind there and no odor. He came into the house to the bathroom and he checked thru the hole in the wall as did the other guy, and he said there is no sign of anything there that could cause an odor and in fact he could not detect any odor. So I thanked him and paid his bill, which was approx. $121.00. He left and I said to the wife, "Ain't that something I paid all that money and I have no idea what could have caused the odor", but it dissapated by the following week after the first visit of the a/c and duct people. Further investigation by myself, I found that the odor was coming from the comode vent which was cut off and covered over by the steel replacement roof. So that is what happened to best of my recollection and I will not call these People I called originally for anything else. Case closed. Don't want to hear anymore about it.

Joe was very friendly and nice. They scheduled me within a couple of days and the guys who came out were very helpful and were sure to explain every step of their process. They emptied their shop vac before using at my place. This was especially important in my situation since we found no more than a handful of debris was in the ducts. Therefore, sent us back to the real problem...the dryer. I'd rather have my $125 back, but there was no way of knowing without having work done. And it being a rental, I wanted to complete the work to prevent possible fire hazard.

I had an urgent need and I just looked them up. They were very good. They were extremely clean and fastidious about what they did. I was very impressed.

I explained to them that another company had come out several hours before and told us we had a refrigerant leak, needed a new evaporator coil and had turned off our compressor. It was 84 degrees inside the house when he came. He looked everything over, turned the system back on and told us (as we suspected) that there was no leak. We also asked him about a report we had received from a house inspector saying that we had "temperature split" of 8 degrees. He determined a split of 17 degrees, which is good. He asked when we last changed the air filter for our "return". We had changed it between the time the house inspector came and Air Essentials came. He said that could explain why the inspector thought there might be a problem.

The crew arrived on time. The worked all day removing and installing new ductwork under the crawlspace in our home. They were hardworking, focused neat and tidy. They removed all the old 1970 ductwork and installed new wrapped ductwork and made sure everything was connected and taped so that we nad no more leaks. They ran new supply and return lines and balanced the flow into each room to maximize the efficiency. We are very pleased with the work and one month later my husband called with a question and they came right to the house to check something for him. Job well done. Jan 2013: We had a problem with our A/C unit not cycling properly. Air Essentials diagnosed a bad relay. They came out replaced the bad relay and our system has been working perfectly ever since. We appreciate their workmanship and honesty. If you have a small repair they handle it . Our cost was only $160.
