Mr. Electric of Huntsville

There was a mix up on the appointment time, but the repairman still came out even though it was after 5:00 p.m. He had to go back out to get a part which took a little time (it was storming). He returned and got right to work to hook up the disposal. This isn't the 1st time we have had this technician. We are always pleased with his work.

The electrician looked at the fuse box to see if all was okay. He corrected some poor wiring in next to last outlet in line. Tested the receptacles and found the one that was malfunctioning. He took out this and put in new outlet. He was very professional. The only thing that I did not like was the price. He came at time wanted and stayed about 1 and 1/2 hours.. I think $249.00 for 1 1/2 hours of work is highway robbery. I also think that $85.00 for car repairs is so expensive too. He gave me the estimate he started and so I signed for it but I did not know anyone else. But Angieslist give me new ways to find out other people that do things.

When the technician gave us an estimate, he walked us through every step of the process that he would take and explained the costs in detail. He also fully explained all of the options and the benefits and potential problems with each. When he came to do the work he was on time, had all the materials he would need and finished sooner than he estimated. The job looks great except for a couple of holes from the old light fixture. He filled the holes but left them to me to paint (he had fully explained that earlier). Although the price charged was higher than other quotes, we were impressed by his knowledge and professionalism and felt it was worth the extra money.

They are pretty good. They honor their work and warranty. If something breaks and if it’s their fault, they come back and fix it at their own expense.

Nathan was on time, professional, and competent. He did exactly was I asked him to do, effectively and efficiently.

Zac, the electrician, showed up on time. He gave me an estimate of all the work I wanted done and said he could do it today. He did good work quickly. He tolerated my hanging around trying to help. The only problem I have with the work was that when he had to take out a light switch box from the wall a 1 by 1/2 inch piece of my plaster wall came with it. It probably couldn't be helped though. I think I'd use Mr Electric again but I'd check other electricians and handymen for a price comparison.

It went very well, they were reasonable on their price. They were efficient, and helped me update the wiring on the house, which I didn’t know I needed help with.

I will say that this company is responsive and professional. However, all we wanted to have done was to add an electrical outlet. It was a very uncomplicated project and the location of the outlet is near the electrical box in a single story home with full walk in attic access. The electrician took all of 1 minute to look over the area and begin working on the estimate. The estimate was the problem. $464.00!! Almost $500 to put in an electrical outlet?? We were stunned but not knowing if that was the going rate we contacted another electrical company. Their estimate for the exact same project $135.00. Both are quality electrical companies, both have licensed electricians - so obviously we are going with the lower estimate. So, while Mr. Electric is professional and punctual, unless you just have a burning desire to spend an extra $329 more than necessary, I would suggest shopping around for a more reasonable price for your basic electrical issues.

The guy was extremely professional and I felt comfortable being there with him. He offered good service. I think he was a little more expensive than other places but I would definitely use them again in the future.

I have used Mr. Electric/Huntsville over 20 times on several properties. Always a class act. They are punctual, courteous, and the work is done right. They clean up their own messes, wear shoe covers inside my properties, and go over all details of the work to be done, as well as pricing. I purchased their membership program 4 years ago, and am glad I did. They provide a warranty on their work, and I have had one experience having to call them back on a warranty. The problem was handled promptly, without question or issue, with no additional charge. I would not call anyone else, and I've had 30 years of experience dealing with contractors such as electricians. Great company with great employees!!!

We called Mr. Electric asking for a quote and made an appointment. The office called us the day before, to confirm the time for the quote. Patrick was great. Very professional. He came on time and gave us the quote, we accepted, and scheduled the work for the following week. Mr. Electric called the day before to confirm the time and appointment. Patrick came on time, did what was needed, showed my husband how the load was on our main panel, cleaned up. He was a pleasure to work with. Would use him again and would recommend them to others

I called late afternoon and he made appoint. For next morning. He was on time and completed work in a prompt, professional manner.

We already had the two fixtures we wanted to replace, and had installed a timer that wasn't work right, so we asked for a quote to replace the fixtures and troubleshoot the timer. The estimate was over $300! While they were professional--coming when they promised, booties on techs, etc., it was much too expensive. We expected to pay half that. We found another person to do all three things and it took less than an hour.

iThe technicians wore booties inside, explained each step of the process and made minimal mess during installation, which they promptly cleaned up at the end. They made all arrangements with the public utilities to shut off power, get the city inspectors there on time and get th epower restored. They completely orchestrated teh job from start to finish, doing an excellent job.

On time, fast and professional.

This company is great to work with and they are very professional, punctual but a little pricey. I believe you get what you pay for and what you get with this company is first class service. I will be using them again if the unfortunate opportunity arises again.

I needed another jack in my office area for internet purposes. Ashely was the Man that came to my home. He was very helpful and also helped me with my outside path lights. Ashely...YOU ROCK!!

He talked about nothing but s** for 6 weeks and at the end of the job, he told me he was a criminal and that he his whole family had a large drug use as well as abuse background. I actually called to make sure he wasn't a sexual predator. He also said that his extended family was scamming the food stamps office. I contacted the company regarding James and they didn't even respond to me. I wrote them a lengthy letter and they did even so much as send me a bill or an apology.

I had been using an electrician, who eventually went to the parent job. I had to find a new one. They are prompt. They are professional. They are little pricey. They work quickly and they clean up after themselves. They answer questions we ask. Overall, they are nice. Once, we had hired someone to fix something and they didn’t do it properly, but Mr. Electric came out and redid everything for free. They stick with their quote. They do what they say they would.

The worker was nice, professional, and helpful. I would recommend them to anybody.
