Joel Rhodes

Joel was great. On my first call to him, he tried to diagnose the problem over the phone and suggested some steps I could take on my own to try to solve the issue. He said to call him back if his suggestions didn't work. I called him a few days later after I couldn't get the door to stop sticking. He arrived when he said he would, and called ahead to make sure it was still a good time. He took a look, figured out the issue (the door hardware was old and needed adjusting). Joel took care of it and fixed the door. He told me it might be a short-term fix, though, and the hardware needed to be swapped out for new hardware. I found the exact same hardware (new) and bought it and called Joel to install it. He told me he could help, and called me again before he came. He replaced the old hardware in about 20 minutes, explaining each step what he was doing and got everything working, and I've got a smooth front door again.

Joel was a pleasure to work with. Communication was easy and prompt. We had some scheduling restrictions that he was flexible in working through (including waiting for us while we decided on a stain). I would certainly recommend him.

Joel did an excellent job. Fence looks great with expert installation, even in difficult places. He is busy working (in demand), so exercise some patience in him getting back to you - it is worth any wait.

It went great. He and another team member came and replaced the screen on my porch. He even installed a lock on my screen door so my cat can safely go back on the porch again!

Joel was very helpful in a situation that other fence companies were not. This was not a large job so other companies would say they would come out and look at the broken fence but never make it or even call back. Once I say the reviews for Joel on Angieslist I called him, he answered right away, and came out to look at the repair the next day. From then on the repair went very smooth, the price was reasonable and I am happy with the end result. Joel was a nice guy with a good crew. I would recommend Joel and I would use him again.

Never scheduled to meet. Was too busy doing other jobs. Never called back to give us an estimate for our job. We'll be looking to hire someone else.

Joel was the contact point from start to finish. He was extremely easy to work with. He was responsive, punctual, kind, had a great price and, above all, provided quality work. I will hire Joel and his team again whenever I need any work done around my house!

He is very, very good, very nice person. He does really good work. He just came and did the work in a reasonable amount of time and his prices were good. We were just pleased with what he did.

He takes great pride in the his work and gave me good advise on the design and finishes to use. I would recommend him to friends and will call him again.

Called Joel two weeks ago based on great Angie's List reviews to put up a fence, I had already gotten my property stakes marked. All it would take was a quick inspection of my property, a description of options and a quote, and schedule a date to do the work. When I talked to him to set up an appointment he took my number, said he was flexible for the next two weeks, and that he would call me back to set up an appointment, but that we would probably play "phone tag" a few times to hash out a time. I thought this was strange since I was talking to him right then, during business hours, and said specifically when I would be home and that he could call my phone at any time. But since he has such great ratings I decided to trust him to call me back shortly to set up the first visit to my house. Also, I said that if the fence goes well, I need a handyman for the future and that I would be calling him for those repairs and upgrades. One week passed and I still hadn't heard from him so I called back and reached his voice mail, reminding him who I was and what I needed done. I never heard back from him. I don't understand why such a simple thing is so hard for him to schedule, or why he couldn't just tell me he was too busy or unable to do the work. That would have been fine, but telling me we'd be playing phone tag when he had me on the phone right then, and not calling me back was a waste of my time and very inconsiderate. Perhaps he has enough business where he can treat new customers like this but he certainly won't be getting my business or recommendation in the future.

We didn't actually use this company. It wasn't because of anything that he did or didn't do. He was punctual & reasonable with his pricing. He was knowledgable and professional. The only reason we didn't use him is because we used someone we knew personally who needed work.

He came out to the house to assess the projects. After, we heard from him once via email. We tried to schedule him to come and complete the projects, but never heard from him again.

Joel and his crew did a great job. He takes pride in his work and wants to make sure the job is done correctly and at the satisfaction of the customer. I certainly will call him should I ever need any deck or fence repairs in the future.

I waited 2 weeks to get the quote.. I responded that I wanted him to do the job and asked him to estimate the amount of stain I would be needing. He requested the stain manufacturer's website address which I furnished promptly and I have not heard from him since. That was on May 27, 2016. Joel seemed like a nice guy and knowledgable but I am totally unimpressed with how he has conducted business and left me hanging. I will look elsewhere for someone to do my job who handles business more professionally.

Excellent - he was very friendly, prompt, and did an excellent job. His rate was very reasonable.

It went perfectly as it always does with Joel. The pergola is beautiful. You can tell that Joel takes pride in his workmanship and he should because it is very skilled. Joel is dependable and always a pleasure to work with. I would recommend him to anyone!

-It went fabulously! I can't recommend Joel and his team enough. He came to our assessed the situation, gave us numerous options, and at about the same time, everything else in our home went belly-up at the same time (the a/c, the water line in the front yard, and as a a result of a bad plumber, now a need for foundation work). All that to say, Joel told us that he could reinforce the deck (piece by laborious piece), and that is what his team did. They worked like crazy all day long on each of these individual supporting beams. Joel also gave us very clear directions on how to maintain what we have so that it might last a few years until we can invest more in replacing it. There is no question that when the time comes that we have to replace it completely, we will definitely call Joel again. We loved his work and his sweet personality.
