They found that work I had performed by another company was not up to code, and essentially another company had lied to me about servicing my chimney. Not only did they sweep the chimney and performed the repairs I wanted, but they replaced a chimney cap and broken flue handle (one that the other company said couldn't be fixed). They handle the handle machined for me - and didn't charge me an arm and a leg! They were very efficient, on time, courteous...and they actually came in under the estimate they provided (by $20 or $30, but still...that is unheard of!). These guys are wonderful - best experience I have ever had with a vendor! I will definitely use them again every chance I get!

Clean Sweep Chimney Service Inc. was very professional. After my request they came 2 days after for a free estimate. I called them they next day to tell them that i would like for them to do the service. It took them about a week to get to me because he makes the chimney caps himself (Great quality work!). They came and did the job and I couldn't be happier with there work. Thanks!

I joined Angie's List specifically to look for a chimney repair company. I was very glad to see CLEAN SWEEP CHIMNEY SERVICE INC recommended by a few folks and the reports were pretty recent. However, I had no luck in getting anyone to call back. I left messages and sent email, but I got no response. Subsequently, I gave up. I am very disappointed in the lack of response from these folks. I wonder if it is still in business???

They did my chimneys and they did a good job. They were very professional. They knew what they were doing. They gave a real good inspection and they cleaned as well. I was pleased with their service. Their price was average. They also did the chimney cap for $100. They were well on time.

I wasn't there, but my wife said he came, climb up to the top of the chimney and then look in the house and went under as well. Again very professional and thorough.

It went fantastic. Those guys are top quality. They are all fire-fighters and they were neat and clean. They discounted my chimney sweep this year as well.

Clean Sweep Chimney Service is owned and operated by local firemen; so I had extremely high expectations, and they were validated from the moment the workman entered the doorway. Not only was he genuinely courteous, but he patiently and thoroughly explained to me the nature and dangers of creosote build-up and then went on to carefully explain what he would do to clean the chimney and remove the creosote. He first covered the fireplace with a canvas type of material, so no dirt would get into the house (my wife really appreciated that!), and then he worked quickly and carefully doing the actual cleaning. The design of the damper is somewhat awkward, but he figured out an alternative way to clean that area. Working from both the fireplace and the top of the chimney, he also examined the structure of fireplace and chimney, reported to me some problems, and described to me a range of possible solutions for each problem. I had also asked that he clean out lint build-up from the laundry dryer exhaust tube ? another potential fire hazzard. He did that quickly and neatly as well, and he declined to charge me for that because, he explained, the exhaust tube was easy to access, short, and only took a short moment to clean.

When I first contacted them by email, I received a rapid response. Someone came and inspected, but found that the job was larger than he was able to bid on. There was some delay and I had to contact them again and apparently Mr. Boone needed to see the state of my chimneys. He was subsequently very prompt and knowledgeable as to the cause of the deterioration. Scheduling repair was very smooth. His wife is very professional and set up a date 2 weeks later. Mr. Boone and an assistant showed up as promised. It took several visits to finish the job. They do not work every day because he is a fireman, but he protected the chimney from rain in his absence because of the poor state of the flashing (not because work was left incomplete). The work is now finished except for the steel caps that will have to be fabricated. This can wait and they have a lot of cleanings to do before the cold weather so he will return and I have no doubt that he will. The quality of the work is very good. A great deal of mortar was removed and replaced and the flashing is waterproof. The men cleaned up after themselves well.

An animal had torn off the guard for the air intake on our chimney box and built a nest inside the ductwork. Scott and Andrew came to clean out the nest, snipped off the portions of the ductwork that the animal had made holes in, and retrofitted a screen and guard to replace the ones that had been torn by the animal.

The people from this company are very nice. They are great people. It was just a brief job and they was very polite while doing it. We have dogs in the house and they were very polite with them as well. I am very happy with everything they have done for me and I have no complaints.

Clean sweep was recommended to us by a friend and they really did a good job. There was no soot or mess left around the area and the chimney had worked fine all winter. I would recommend them to others.

Clean Sweep did a beautiful job when sweeping out the chimney. They could not have prepared me for winter in any other way possible. The two men did a great job and I am very thankful to have hired them. I will have them come back yearly to do this service for me.
