We called Superior to get an estimate to replace our downstairs HVAC unit. Joey arrived on time and inspected the unit itself and our ductwork and registers. He took his time, explained why he was recommending a particular unit and brand, and gave several options with different SEER ratings, again explaining the pros and cons of each. He explained their installation process and answered all our questions, both the day he gave us the quote and via phone a couple of days later. We decided to have Superior install the new Carrier unit. They worked with my schedule to arrange a time and date for installation that was convenient for me. The office called a couple of days ahead to confirm the installation time. The installation team arrived on time, worked quickly and efficiently and was polite and professional. They, too, readily answered any questions we had. They took the time to make sure we knew how to work the new thermostat and cleaned up after themselves. Very nice job. Would definitely work with them again.

We were very pleased with the work. Everyone was prompt and arrived on time and finished the work in a timely manner.
Description of Work: Our heat went out on a Saturday. Joey was kind enough to come out on Sunday morning and gave us an estimate on a new unit. They did a great job last summer for our renter who has lost the air conditioning, and this March for our heating which suddenly went out. This company is friendly, reliable and efficient.

I've been using them for 10 years, ever since they've been in business. They are top notch. They primarily do repairs but they also do some new construction. They have done repairs for me in the past. They are very efficient and they will come right away, no matter what time it is. If anything is not right, they will fix it. I couldn't say anything bad about them. I did a lot of comparisons and they had about the best price of anyone I got estimates from.

They do pretty well and their price included the parts. They came out twice; once to diagnose the problem and the second time to do the work. I chose them because I found them on Angie's List. I have not had any problems with the unit and they tried to explain to me what was going on.

I called Superior based off of the reviews on Angie's List. My upstair air conditioning unit was not running in the middle of the summer; therefore, it was necessary to get the work completed in a timely fashion. I called Superior on a Wednesday afternoon (around 3PM) and they had a technician at my house on Thursday morning at 8AM. The technician arrived right on time. He found a bad capacitor and recharged the system. The work was done in about 30 minutes. Overall, I'm very happy with the results..and glad I'm no longer sweating inside my house.

Overall, I would maybe go with this company again. Other than the communication between their technicans and there office the service was fast and they were responsive every time I had to call them. I just wish the lady on the phone at Superior would have been truthful with me from the beginning stating that one of there employees quit and that they could not find my bill and my check that I had written to them instead of me having to call them 3 times, just to be told the truth. I did appreciate that they did come and complete all the repairs without charging me multiple $85 service fees and that they came out on a Friday night to fix my air conditioner. Overall I would work with them again, because I do believe the issue with the technican quitting was an isolated incidence.
Description of Work: My upstairs air conditioner was only blowing out air after my house was struck by lightning. I called Superior and they said they could send someone out in three days since my main AC was working, which was fine with me since the master is on the bottom floor. The first technican arrived ahead of schedule and looked at the outside downstairs unit and noticed that the circuit board had been fried from the lightning strike. He said that he would have to order the part from Nashville so it would be a couple of days until the piece would arrive. He said that it should be in by Friday and then he would call me to set up a time for him to install it. Friday rolls around and I receive a phone call saying that the company in Nashville had sent the wrong part, so they would have to reorder the part and it would be Tuesday before they would be able to come back out to my house. Tuesday comes and he installs the piece but does not call me to tell me he installed the piece and does not leave a bill. He knocked on my front door and told my brother the piece had been installed. I return home on Tuesday and ask if the technican left the bill and he had not. I did not understand how you would preform a service and not leave the bill. Also, by him not calling me I was not able to tell him that my downstairs unit was also having problems. This bill not only included the new circuit board but also included a $85 dollar Service Fee, that I paid him with a personal check the first time he came out to my house. I call the companies office and ask for my bill to be sent to me via email since my insurance company is paying for these repairs and to request another technican to come out. The lady on the phone told me that she would have to find it first. A couple of days later my downstairs AC unit begins to only blow air. We called Superior again who originally said our downstairs unit was fine on the first visit, a new technican came out and said that the previous technican quit and never turned in our ticket. The new technican said that our downstairs unit needed a new connector. He said that he would replace the part the next day. The next day he replaced the new part and left a bill. I thought I was done with the company but no I was wrong. Friday night around 7 pm my downstairs AC unit went out again, it was only blowing air not cool air. I called Superior and they sent someone out to check on the unit. The technican determined it was a loose wire.

The old unit died on a Thursday. Superior was called based on Angie's List ratings Friday morning. The initial workman arrived an hour before scheduled. They called to make sure this was okay and with the room temps already approaching 90 deg, this was an easy YES. He quickly diagnosed the multiple problems. He got the system going enough to cool the house for the weekend, but advised that we could either spend 3k in attempting to fix the system with low odds of long term success or replace. He recommended replacing. We concurred as we had recognized this problem for a few years and now was as good a time as any. An estimate of the total cost with 3 options was made. After much discussion in which they answered our questions satisfactory, we made a selection and scheduled the work for the following Monday. The work on Monday went smoothly with one exception, a workman slipped and damaged the ceiling sheetrock. This was repaired the next day and thus far the new unit is working well. Long term we will see if it saves money on the utilities bill as predicted.
Description of Work: Replaced our broken down 18 year old HVAC unit with a new 5 ton Carrier Split Gas Hybrid system and improved existing ducting to provide better airflow to the far reaches of the house. Also moved the thermostat from a bad location to more logical central location.

The repair went fine. It was celar to me from various pieces of evidence that the repairman was responsible for breaking the handle off my hose real box (He said nothing to my wife, who was home at the time of the repair and paid him, or myself). I called the owner of the company and he agreed to replace the real box. When the repairman came to bring the unit he asked me in a very abrupt manner if he could put the hose on the new real. I said I could do it. He asked me to follow him, quickly walked away and pointed to where it was located, walked away and jumped in his work vehicle. He did not really give me a chance to talk to him about it. I appreciate the owner treating me fairly. I will still use his business as long as this young gentleman he employs no longer comes to my property. He may be able to repair an HVAC but he needs to learn the people side of the business.

Our air conditioner quit blowing cool air so we needed service as soon as possible, due to high temps in our area, not to mention very high humidity. Our system is 12 years old and has not required service until now so I had no idea who to call. Decided the best thing was to join Angie's list and find a good service provider using the reviews. Superior is not just their name - their service, all the way from the person who initially takes the phone call to the technician who comes out to do the work, is truly "Superior". Everyone was very friendly, the scheduler called promptly, and the technician was early - never had that happen before. Turned out the system was fine, just needed to be charged. The tech not only serviced the unit, he also climbed into the attic to check our ventilation. He recommended we install a couple of electric vent fans to assist with pulling hot air out of the attic and thereby reducing our cooling bill. Considering that Superior does not do installation of these types of fans, there was no monetary motivation behind his recommendation. Now that's honest. I would highly recommend Superior!

On returning home from vacation, we found our AC unit had stopped blowing cold air. We had returned on a Sunday around 6:30pm and I thought no one would be available to take a call. I called Superior and to my complete shock someone answered the phone. I talked through my issue with the individual and he recommended that I save the overtime charge and have someone come out in the morning. He called me promptly at 7:00 am the next morning and had someone at my doorstep at 8:00 am. We went out to the unit and found the interior blower fan was not running. After a quick diagnosis he replaced a small capacitor and cleaned out the unit. He topped off the FREON and was on his way by 9:00 am. The technician was knowledgable and let me watch what he was doing and explained to me the whole process. I would highly recommend them and I will be using them in the future for any HVAC issues.

I called them in the morning, and was given a time window starting in two hours during which their technician would arrive. He arrived on time, and found the problem quickly and fixed the system. All the information about what he found and what he did to service the system was documented on the invoice. The total labor and diagnostic fee was a reasonable $85, with no extra 'travel' charges. The system has been working fine since then.
Description of Work: My A/C unit was freezing up and not cooling. Their technician added freon, explained the problem to me, and tightened a leaking valve stem.

Great service! They were at my house in half an hour after I called them. My heat wasn't working. It took the technician less than 15 minutes to find the problem, bad hot surface igniter. He had the part on his truck so he replaced it and the heat works fine! The technician was very nice and professional. I contacted Superior because of the excellent reports on Angie's list. They were all correct! Thanks Superio!!

My heater worked most of the time so I put off calling to get it repaired for several months. After waking up to a cold house and seeing that the forecast was for much colder weather I couldn't wait any longer. I called to see if someone could come to the house to take a look at the heater sometime that day. They told me they would have someone there within about 45 minutes. It actually took less than 30 minutes for them to show up. Within an hour of making the call my heater was diagnosed and fixed. Turns out it was just a crimped hose to a pressure sensor that intermittently prevented the gas to my heater from turning on. They re-routed the hose and cleaned up the heater while they were there. Had I known it was going to be this quick and easy to get fixed I would have called them much sooner!
Description of Work: Diagnosed and fixed an intermittent problem with my heater that caused it to not always keep the house warm. Sometimes it would just cycle off and on and at other times it would not turn on no matter how cold the house was.

Not much to tell since it was a text book install. These guys are NOT amateurs. They are surgically precise in their work.
Description of Work: During an A/C service it was discovered that my gas pack's heat exchanger was perforated allowing combustion gasses including carbon monoxide into the house. I opted to install a new unit that qualified for a tax credit. The very next morning, promptly at 8am the installation crew arrived. They had completely removed the old unit and installed the new unit (complete with gas fittings, programmable thermostat, and flashing) in ~3 hours.

The heatpump for the second floor of our house stopped working on Wednesday. I called Superior on Thursday morning at 7:30. They arrived at 11:00 that morning as scheduled. The technician added enough R22 to get the heatpump working again. He also determined that there was a leak in the air handler. Instead of spending a significant amount of money to fix a 13 year old system we decided to replace it instead. He gave me quotes for three new systems that were much more efficient than our current one. We also determined that a couple of more registers were necessary. I chose one of the systems and arranged to have it installed the next day. Since we were having a new system installed he didn't charge us for a service call. The installers arrived the next day at 5:30 am and had all of the work done by noon.

It went really well, I couldn't ask for any better response, treatment, or result! And the a/c is still running one week later!
Description of Work: I came in from out of town to check on my unoccupied home. I'd just gone inside, walked out to the garage which had lots of water on the floor running out the door from the front of the garage to back and it was warm in the house. So, I signed up for Angies List, called 3 contractors and chose Superior. They said they would be out at 8:00am and the tech would call at 7:30am before he came. The Tech called at 7:30am said he was 10 minutes from my house and would I like him to come (Boy, would I) He worked on the condensate pump for an hour plus, had it running and was ready to leave when I asked him about checking the freon in the outdoor unit. He did so cheerfully and added a shot of freon and didn't charge me a dime more. He discussed the general condition of the system and said to call him if I have anymore problems. He didn't need to tell me that because by then I was convinced they are the best game in town. "Cain" is a great Tech and told me he really likes his job and is happy to be working for "Superior." I am glad too!

They came when they said they would and took about an hour to get my unit cooling again.
Description of Work: Air conditioner wasn't cooling. Called their office on Tuesday and they said someone would come out on Wednesday morning. They diagnosed the problem as a slight leak of R-22 and a dirty condenser. They cleaned and recharged and said my old unit might need replacement soon but is currently okay.
