Brian Snider and his team came out and built a beautiful stained cedar pergola in our backyard. It is definitely the highlight and focal point of our backyard. The pergola is a 15' x 15' structure, complete with detailed angled bracing, high quality cedar, strong hardware (screws and bolts), etc. His guys also installed 20 cedar posts on the front and back porches with matching braces. His guys were professional, courteous, highly skilled and very clean cut. We love going to our backyard. It's become our outdoor den. Thanks to Brian and his guys for an awesome job.

Mr. Snider came by twice to look at the site for my deck. His crew built the deck in about 3 days.

It is a very large deck, and they built it on time and on budget. We are very pleased with it. I had lots of personalized details that I wanted incorporated into the deck and they complied, although I had to watch and remind them to make these changes to their standard practices. Very pleasant and hard-working staff, eager to please.

They built a deck to cover a portion of a concrete patio, level with the exit door, with steps down to the balance of the patio on one side, and to a garden path on the opposite side. The finished job is exactly what we wanted.

The work was done in a very professional manner. Their rebuild changed the entire look & feel of our deck, adding a much needed update. The crew performed an honest day's work each day during the construction but at the same time it was pleseant to hear them joke around. And the music was a nice touch! :) The crew was always interested in what we thought of the work and if there was anything they had missed or needed correcting. Minor details WERE NOT overlooked. They took care of their tools, which is a good indicator of how they feel about what they are doing. We are very happy with the results.

Brian and Jeff are wonderful to work with! They came out, gave me a quote, scheduled the work and began right on time. Crew was fantastic - very respectful at all times and you could tell they took pride in their work. The new screened porch is 14 x 30 and tied into the existing roof. They used premium deck boards for the floor and they look great! They added plenty of power outlets, and wired for and installed our previously purchased ceiling fans and overhead light fixture. They built custom lattice to go underneath the porch and it turned out just like the picture I showed them. They even screened underneath the deck to keep the bugs from coming through the cracks! I found Deckbuilders here on Angie's list and decided to go with them because of their high ratings and fair pricing. I found them to be eager to please and easy to work with. I would highly recommend them!!!

Deckbuilders did a great job. Their responsiveness, attention to detail, work ethic (punctuality, quality of work, and respect for our property) was as promised. They got us into their schedule quickly, started and finished the work on time and cleaned up after themselves. Our new deck and pergola are beautiful and have added so much enjoyment to the time we spend outside. We would recommend them to anyone looking for a new deck.

They showed up on time each day, built the deck as specified in the estimate and cleaned up their mess. Very happy with the results!

Guys came out on Monday and began tearing out old deck that was approximately 12 x 30. By Friday had new deck and pergola that looks great. I expected top quality, and diligence for 6000.00 and got exactly what I expected and paid for. I can highly recommend deckbuilders.

1. Brian, the owner and construction manager, recommended two design changes. One, steel posts, added to my cost, but resulted in a substantially more sturdy finished deck. The next, repositioning my stairs, was at no added cost to me and greatly improved my final trafic pattern and overall utiltiy of the deck. 2. Ipe is the most dense wood I've ever seen. It's as heavy as concreteboard and each screw had to be predrilled and countersunk. This added to the production time (nearly two weeks), but I now have a rock solid deck. 3. Brian had the team stain all of the rail and staircase elements prior to installation to help coverage and color consistency. 4. Given the size and duratio of the project as well as the cost of the imported wood, I made a progress payment following the delivery of supplies to the site. 5. Much of the construction took place while I was on travel. I received daily photos of progress. 6. Ran into a couple of issues with my house -- some rot that could have easily been concealed . Brian sent me photos and recommended corrective actions. Overall, can't imagine what would have made this a better project!

The weather held us back a bit but when it was dry they showed up early and completed the project in a very timely manner. The boss Brain Snider and his crew were very professional , polite and cleaned up beautifully when the work was done.

I meet with the owner Brian Snider and explained what I was interested in, Brian e-mailed and we agreed with his price. The old deck was torn down and hauled away and a new larger deck was built.

Brian and his crew epitomize what all home repair crews should aspire to. Once the work began they showed up when promised and stayed on schedule. They finished early every day and cleaned everything up before they left. They all looked and acted professional. I didn?t know exactly what to ask for in a deck so Brian helped along the way with ideas and suggestions. We are very pleased with the results. Brian is not the cheapest but that?s not what we were looking for. If you want a quality deck at a fair price look no further.

Brian and his crew were prompt, efficient, consistent, and hard-working. Brian helped us with the deck design, selection of materials, and small details that made the completed deck a great addition to our home. Deck Builder's work ethic was exceptional! Completion of the job, clean up and removal of scrap went smoothly. Highly recommend them for any deck/outside woodworking job!

Brian (the owner) came out and took some measurements; using his iPad he showed me examples of what he recommended and several other options. He sent a quote several days later with an estimated install date 6 weeks out. He called about 2 weeks later, and said he had an opening so they could frame it. They managed to fit me about a week after they framed it to finish the install. They hauled away the old columns, ensured all of the lumber used for framing hadn't warped (they ended up having to replace a piece), and provided pictures of it. Brian (and his entire crew) were extremely professional, and did great work.

Brian, the owner of Deckbuilders is professional in all aspects of his work. He was prompt in responding to phone calls, in coming to our home to give us a quote and once starting the job, there was no wasting of time. He manages a respectful crew of young men who were diligent in following his lead and cleaning up behind themselves. The design of the deck evolved as the work progressed to accommodate the needs as we uncovered them. I am very pleased with the finished product. It is well built and sturdy. We look forward to many years of enjoyment.

Our experience with Deckbuilders was amazing. This design was top-notch, the recommended materials were great for the job, the workers were conscientious and polite, and the finished project was so much more that we had expected. We originally wanted to go with composite decking. The company owner recommended Ipe' wood as an alternative for several reasons: longer lifespan, better raw material lengths in order to avoid unsightly seams, and better overall appearance. Although the final cost was a little higher, our research (Google: Ipe' vs. composite) convinced us that this material was superior. Again, the finished project did not disappoint. After we decided to go with the Ipe', the project was started as soon as the materials came in. The crew worked efficiently, and it appeared that very little material was wasted in the process. The project took about three and a half weeks to complete. I would like to address one thing that impressed us the most- the owner of the company was adamant from our first contact that his overall goal was to give us the nicest deck possible. I saw this commitment at every step of the project. And again, the finished deck is proof. Thank you all for such a great job!

He was very flexible with start dates of the job, as we wanted to delay a few weeks. Front porch railing was up in one day and he even replaced a couple of boards that had warped after a few days. We had him tear out the entire back deck and start from scratch, but he saved the wood for us at our request. The entire deck and pergola were completed in 3 days with very little interruption to the tenants. He added a couple of boards to cover the slight opening under the deck after we did a full walk-around inspection. Very happy with the details he included, including lighting and locks on the gates.

I think I got them from Angie's List. They did a fantastic job. They put the deck up in one day, and they did it right. My dad was there to supervise them. My dad is a builder from way back, and he said that they did everything right, they used the screws and put the concrete in. Brian Snider was my contact, and he is great. In fact, his brother, Alan Snider helped with the job along with some other great guys. I am redoing the house, so I had a whole lot of junk in the back from the old deck and it was just all piled up. The guy asked me what I was going to do with all that junk and I said that I would have to call somebody to get rid of it. Alan said that he would do that. In fact, I am going to use them again.

We had one visit for an estimate and a few phone calls with questions we had. Always responsive.

Excellent workmanship and prompt. Work was completed and finsihed as agree. Highly recommend this company. Work was performed by this company and not sub out except for vinyl and gutters.
